Does anyone know the difference between the 316d and 320d turbo? Would a 320d hybrid turbo fit directly onto a 316?
Yes it will the car is exactly the same engine and all other things just its tuned down on power
Bedankt rijd super ondertussen al zwaardere koppeling en is echt een bom nu 💥 nu snel kijken voor de remmen te upgraden zodat het tg veilig blijft

Don't do it except if you want to destroy your engine. If you really want that much power get a 330d.

I have the f30 318d tried mapping mine kept coming up with drivetrain malfunction. Any ideas, guys? Mapper said it might be encrypted with uodated ecu from bmw.
@@dpaudits most common issue on 18d’s is railpressure drop due to a bad map, above limits of the factory pump, if you want you can contact me
@svrautosport1632 yeah that would be brilliant, thank you. Don't think any other issues apart from fast acceleration to 130 (80mph) then drive train malfunction car goes into limp mode, then had to put map back standard then car runs absolutely fine.

Hi. I own a e92 320d 177 hp 350nm base and now it has (safe) 204 hp and 465nm with following modes: donwpipe, kn air filter, egr off, swirl flaps off and removed. I don't know the injection quantity, but the max boost is 2.8 bar. Using the modes that I have how much I can achieve if i will use a more aggresive tune?
230hp and 500 nm is what is put them on normally, quite safe and smokeless
at what pressure does the turbo run?

Hello I have bmw 318d 2018 lci manual just wondering what is needed to get to stage 2 and what are the gains.
Stage 2 only needs downpipe an software, you'll end up arround 200hp and 430nm, then fuel pump is maxed
I have a 318d 2013 stage 2 previous owner said its 245hp isnt that bs cuz isnt stage 2 delivering not much over 205hp on a 318d ???? Any help woulf be appriciated
If you do not own one, i would just buy 3.0d -> Better sound and probably will be cheaper than putting money into 2.0 diesel ;)
they are very difficult to buy, especially in a small body

Yes, that`s correct
No the engine internals are a bit diffrent, the F-Series Engine 16d and 18d have a smaller pin in the Cylinder. therefore it probably can hold a little less power compared to the 20d models. In the E-Series 16d,18d and 20d have the exact same internals.
How did you connect the 40d fuel pump to the fuel rail as the pump has two outputs and the rail has one input ?
The fuel rail is adapted for two high pressure inputs, but for arround 300hp there are easier solutions available

Hello i have a bmw 120d f20 lci with stock 190hp and 400nm and i have a racechip on it saying is aroun 225hp and 500nm ..
if i do a stage 2 with only adding a downpipe dpf delete will i be able to make more power than now ?

Currently it's running on a remap, straight pipe,downpipe,bmc filter
a stock turbine from 330d and others will give a large turbo lag up to 2500 rpm, it is better to make a hybrid, but there will be a little less power, but it will be possible to ride it comfortably every day

2,6, but boost doesn't say much, it's the airflow that is important

I have a 2014 318d, I’m going for stage 2, I have a 320d hybrid turbo, 320d injectors, fmic with hard pipes, egr and cooler delete, dpf delete and straight through exhaust, would this be a good set up for around 240bhp and would I need to upgrade anything else like fuel pump or will the pump be ok for 240bhp??? Any help appreciated tia
What engine code do you have I have a 316d n47 which is pretty much a 318d with a poorer tune if you have had the N47 did the 320d turbo just got straight on?

Hi I drive 520d b47 with stage 2 dpf & egr deleted k&n air filter downpipe and exhaust..I belive the car it's around 240hp I am thinking of adding bigger intercooler.i want to know is it save what I am doing ( aggressive driving ) or better I search for bigger engine ? 🙈

B47/N47 internally are very very strong engine... just everything around engine can't handle, for example stock fueling can't go more than 250bhp depending on engine variant (16d/20d/25d) etc. If you upgrade Turbo, injector etc you will have a strong reliable engine for more power

Hello, i have f30 n47 316d with 320d injectors and hpfp l40, 330d fmic and wonder what turbo to use . Did you use gtb1749 with 52mm wheel on this car or tf35 hybrid?
Gtb1749 converted to 1756, if interested, inve still one on the shelf, new

if it legal or not is something you have to check in the country that you live off course, because there are different rules for every country. The main problem is that DPF is removed so this is something that's not allowed in many countrys.

I would say more 320d is more bhp standard. But im sure it’s same engine just tuned so you could definitely hit these figures.

My 520d f11 n47n has now 275hp and 555nm with stage3. Upgradeturbo will be soon upgraded second time for 300+ and 600+.

320d in stage 2 + form, so intercooler downpipe, is possible at making 240-250 and 580-600 nm torque, on that point fuel pump and turbo are maxed ;) next step is turbo and fuel pump, then power limit is limited on how you like to upgrade/use the car. For example this particular turbo is maxed arround 265-275 if you don't want excesive smoke, but if we go for example for a gtb2260, 300+ should be no issue

Hi there, what are the max safe gains for 2012 F30 320 with the ZF8HP? Currently I’m running BMC drop in, 2.5” catless downpipe, straight pipe 2.5” and Stage 2 tune to about 235 HP 480 Nm
People are running 700nm with the 8HP45 I think you will be safe unless you have problems already. Just change the oil.

yeah thats the reason good programmers keep the torque curve in the beginning down but i saw one 525d with 720nm with 8hp45 which is running fine with custom tcu not xhp
What diesel pump did you use? I am looking to do the same. Can the 318d rail and injectors do 270 hp?
Rail is no issue pump and injectors can't do it.
This one has 40d pump, easiest way for this power is 25d pump

@@anonymous-se6hl for now the easiest solution is a F series 25d pump or even better a B47 25d pump but this one needs small modifications to low pressure fuel lines
@@svrautosport1632 I installed a high pressure pump from 25d f10 and a hybrid turbine, I did not notice the difference. do I still need to install a rail pressure sensor from 50d to raise the pressure above 2000?

Gearbox is not a problem but indeed you need an upgraded clutch
Depends which automatic gearbox your car has ,different countries got different boxes equipped

Hello there,i have a 318d f30 and wondering what is the air induction you are using..? And with that power,questions about the transmission?
Air induction is just the standard system. On an 18d the gearbox is a known problem so they aren't the best, but they will hold for a while

@@juaniniceland9622 normally n47 have very litttle cooling issues, unless you have a mechanical issue such as faulty thermostat or maybe a blocked radiator.
