I remember going to the Golden Arcade as a kid in the late 80's. So much piracy lol.. Back then it was copied floppy discs. The police would raid the place from time to time but that didn't stop them.

Bangkok has higher quality and cheaper products. You are paying higher prices in Hong Kong to feed the property developers.
i haven't been in Bangkok but surely, Southeast Asian cities are heaps cheaper that the cheapest in HK. Hope to visit Bangkok soon 😊
