I don't think it's fair or reasonable to denigrate the Uber driver. First of all, he seems to be a very decent person. He may not have had the best formal education, but he demonstrated good discretion and offered very meaningful advice, especially regarding protocols when visiting a place like Makoko. Secondly, he is not a Lagosian. He said he was from Kogi state. I would highly recommend him. The most important attribute of a driver or toyr guide in Nigeria is trustworthiness.
