In the long history of comic charcters whose base powers suck. Starlight is up there with Jubilee fireworks are worst opening level one powers for any comic book character. I thought maybe it was because she's only fighting heavy hitters like Homelander until she tried to fly and drained a city block of its energy to float for 30 seconds.

My only issue with Starlight's powers is that the writers seem to forget that she has the run-of-the-mill super strength and durability that all supes get.
I don't expect her to be as strong as Homelander. But there's no reason why Hughie can hold his own against Homelander and she can't
The show is inconsistent asf when it comes to power scaling.
Hughie had Soldier Boy and a powered up Butcher help him hold down Homelander momentarily
maybe hughie is simply stronger than her? she still has super strength in other scenes
@@AntiLifeEquation1 Its honestly weird how common that is, power scaling seems all over the place

She could be lethal if they really cared. Let her go the Infamous route and start Leeching off people's bioelectricity to stop their nerve impulses. Shes too narrow minded with her powers.
A nuclear reactor that generates electricity through nuclear fussion is so op i don't think so she has to immediately throw back whatever she absorbed.
If just maintains it for just an hour she could easily just go to homelander and body him.
She's not supposed to be a menace to society. Yall talking about her like she's homelander. She's the only one what actually wanted to be a hero
@@djbobby224She already is a menace to society🤦. Someone doesn't remember her blackmailing Gecko who was her friend or her trying to rob that father and then killed him when he tried to defend himself. Starlight is already a terrible person, but she wants to act like she's still a hero. And Hughie is also a decent person, but even he knows he has to be brutal at times. She has no excuse.
Loved the infamous reference 👌
@djbobby224 she's also one of the main lines of defense against the actual violent supes. If her powers aren't up to par, then she can't protect anyone, those failing as a hero
The power set that she has, Magneto has in his baby pinky. 🤣🤣
absorbs ambient electricity but does not fire electric blasts, absorbs ambient electricity but cannot manipulate electric magnetic fields. I feel like no real thought was put into her powers at all
@@BlerdcaliburTbh, no supe in the boys get that creative with their powers, largely because they don’t have to since 95% of the hero work they do is scripted
I mean if she can absorb electrical energy then she can control it, so. Control electromagnetism thee strongest of the natural forces and very easily ragdoll even Homelander around like he's nothing.
So were comparing boys character to marvel characters? Why?
@@BlerdcaliburI think we’re missing the point of starlight. She wasn’t supposed to be anything more than what she was. A face. That includes her powers. A lot of the mutation is portrayed as random so they have to assess and market each “hero”. She’s still sellable as a face and since they’re not fighting supervillains, it doesn’t really matter if she’s up to Homelander’s or anyone else’s standard. She’s a beautiful broken toy. She doesn’t absorb ambient electricity…she drains the entire block in a SEMI controlled quick drain. With very little return. You think her blasts hurt after that? Try taking all that electricity straight from the grid. You’d atomize. She’s a muse but her powers are broken and MEANT to be(storyline).
Last season during the Soldier Boy fight, she absorbed the light from the room and started floating. All this build up had hella people excited to see what she was about to do...just for her to blast Soldier Boy back a few feet....😑
What so you people expect solder boy is indestructible? Anybody else would be vaporized.
@@hawkeyemihawkgettingmoneylord id expect it to do a lil more than push him a few steps back. Especially if youre gonna have build up that makes it LOOK like somethin amazing is about to happen.
@@hawkeyemihawkgettingmoneylord it doesn’t have to hurt him just sent him flying through a , or a blast the whole room and destroy a ton of things, but just a little push
Cant the supes one shot everyone in one hit as a rule? So i need to be more impressed by the powers and their effects on other supes
soldier boy is literally the tankiest character in all of the boys, 0 contest. even homelader couldnt leave a scratch on him after ganging up with butcher. and starlight at full power not only managed to knock him back, but also made him bleed. if that attack hit anyone else they would either have been vaporised all really fatally wounded. i doubt even homelander would have been okay after getting hit by that.
Also her flight is inconsistent bc they show her barely floating in their office but she flew up to CATCH two people and actually caught Frenchie in S4 e1. Then later on she flies all the way to the starlighter riot situation only struggling to land. Like is it 33 secs or she can fly over a city?💀
Her powers are cool she's super stronge and she can burn your eyes out and she absorbs energy which is all over the cizilived world
I think the flight is a lil bit of everything. Firstly the need to practice directly affects the power grid n people I mean her training for 3 hours is draining would drain so much power .so for one it’s hard to practice.2 in the time of crisis a mf gotta do what they can 😂 so being able to get fly up that fast isn’t inconsistent she couldn’t move fast enough to catch them both.3rd I think is just visual affects at the end of the day she’s on two wires there’s only so much “janky” flying she can do now the landing that’s the actor that gotta make it look real. Look at any home lander flight scene for instance him flying back down after checking the vent is s4e3 he’s so clearly on wires
I wouldn't call that inconsistent. In the fight with Soldier Boy, it seemed like it was a new ability that she didn't know how to use yet. When she tried to save Frenchie and Kimiko, it wasn't clean at all, and she dropped Kimiko. Her flying to the rally is probably the easiest time she's had, but she wasn't saving anyone while she was in the air. It was just point A to point B. Even so, if she couldn't land, it means she's still learning. I think the show's demonstrating that there's a learning curve and it wasn't something that she was instantly gonna know how to use
Count the time she flew over the building it’s not inconsistent
So you literally mention her practicing and learning how to fly then surprised when she was able to improve? This is real mental gymnastics to convince yourself not to like someone.
She’s really just a phone charger
Phone decharger
phone chargers are way more efficient
well that phone charger launched an extension cord across the room ;)
Her powers don’t suck, she sucks at using them. Remember, they don’t fight Supervillains so she never had to push herself. If anything her physical prowess is behind other heroes because lack of proper training to push herself. Like, what happens when she absorbs the power of a Nuclear reactor? Would she able to fire beams of energy? We don’t know and never would because shes not willing to try either.
Her powers are based on electricity not energy like nuclear power
Your thinking about starlight’s potential abilities as if she was an anime character. The superhero powers on The Boys are more grounded and don’t scale much with training, only their proficiency. They probably get a slight boost in power if they take more compound v but that can lead to side effects.
I mean that kind of makes sense, starlight is young as opposed to Homelander and maeve who no longer has powers. I think she could easily whoop the deep but he is more of a comedy relief hero most of the time. The show showed maeve training often and in the first episode starlight was training. Now she mostly just hangs out with the guys, maybe if she trained more often she'd even be as good as maeve was. Then again it's a show, so it'll probably just continue to do whatever.
@@0nepotentialtraining isn't whats happening here, the op just worded it badly.what's actually happening here is creatively using ones powers in a particular way.maybe dragging a fight to a place that benefits you in a particular way.
Basic example but you get the point. she doesn't need to train to absorb faster or some shit like that just finding a way to use your ability more than what its base application implies.
We know training doesn't particularly make you stronger in this show.half she reason maev even lasted as long as she even did against homelander is because of her superior combat and tactics.
@@0nepotential Thats incorrect as shown with candid conversations between Lamplighter and A-Train, their powers manifest and improve. Thats pretty much how everything works, so it is possible that someone else, with the same powers but motivation to use them for something other than fame or fortune would have a completely different power output than her. Think of the same situation in the show/comic Invincible. By your argument Mark should never be able to take on anyone stronger than him because there is no way he can get stronger......except the way EVERYONE has gotten stronger since the beginning of time....practice.
She doesn't absorb electricity, mate. She absorbs photoelectric that has to bounce off of her. That's why she powered up in the studio when all the lights turned on.
Yeah that makes sense
Yeah plus if she did absorb electricity, she would be blowing up the power source and not the screens and lightbulbs themselves.
It obviously doesn’t have to be bouncing off her considering she was able to gather electricity from a building. She wasn’t even inside of.
I do agree with her absorbing photoelectric energy I don’t think it needs to bounce off her considering she absorbed the energy from a building. She wasn’t even in.
She doesn't absorb photoelectric her powers are photoelectric based. She interacts with the radiation created by electrical sources such as light. Her physical being has qualities that allows her to take that radiation and push it back out this is why it's usually light but if she interacted with a different form of radiation caused by a different type of electrical source then theoretically her powers should look like that form of radiation. If she wear to face a nuke and be ready for it her body may be able to redirect that radiation and in theory the energy of the bomb as well. If lightning were to strike her she should be able to get a massive power boost from it and only sustain the burns from the plasma and again she may be able to redirect the plasma as well. Sadly in the boys universe these heroes are just celebrities they are not meant to know the true extent of their abilities so they are never truly put to the test like soldier boy was even homelander has never really been tested. But anyways yeah that's basically how her powers should work if they truly are photoelectric.
Yeah her powers are ass , hell Hughie was able to put up a fight against Homelander with his teleportation power last season in the Herogasm episode and even he helped hold down Homelander down to the ground so Soldier Boy could use his chest power but i mean granted I'm sure it was mainly Soldier Boy and Butcher that was doing most of the grunt work of holding Homelander down to the ground but Hughie had to have had just kind of super strength to even help hold Homelander down.

She durable, near impenetrable and can punch through a brick wall with enough tries. I think the issue in this universe is something that Power's touched on. No one here trains their powers to be useful. That's why she's a grown woman' and only recently learning to do more than hover. Same with Homelander, he almost lost to Soldier boy and butcher and Huey when he got pinned down. Homelander didn't know how to land a plan with all his abilities because he doesn't know how to use his own propulsion as if he were standing. I think her abilities can be much better than they are if she understood them more.
She struggled to lift up the back of a car.
Agreed. Every supe in the Boys sucks at using their powers. No exception
@@vibemasterkorosu2469single mother+ adrenaline > starlight confirmed?
Well the plane thing was more physics literally doesn't allow someone to lift a plane like superman. They literally gave superman some low level forcefeild to explain how he did it
One thing: I don't see why they didn't goad Stormfront into hitting Starlight with her powers.
Starlight gains power from the electricity running through power lines while in a city, right?
Unless that is a specific limitation ("Only from man made items"), then ANY source of electricity should work, so they missed the chance to give her a real Power Boost and show what she can really do when fully powered up.
Why have I never noticed that Stormfront could have supercharged Starlight. Maybe that's why once Maeve and Starlight showed up she stopped throwing around the lightning because she was wary that might happen but you're right that would of been an awesome power boost
@@Blerdcalibur I"ve played 'super-hero RPGs' before, I knew how to Rules Lawyer with the best of them 😅
Also, a fellow Blerd myself (was the only black kid who played D&D back in the early 90s.....sigh......😏)
Because Stormfront uses plasma; not lightning, so starlight can’t absorb it. It’s a small technical detail that is often missed in that fight. Before the final showdown, Frenchie refers to Stormfront’s attacks as “Plasma bolts”
@@wild_seabass Well, I was going by appearances, and it looks like lightning
@@Blerdcaliburthat’s really smart writing actually for that character, so it would make sense why she didn’t spam her blast power, Maeve also wasn’t giving her any time to set up or think.
*Starlight powers are basically the 99cent version of Stormfronts powers, as she can summon electricity at a unlimited amount while Starlight can do it can only use her powers when electricity is around her....*
I think thats why they have her training in the, gives them the opportunity to workshop her powers and its canon. Even a train mentioned how its "always the eyes" and its funny theyre always right, she never does anything. I read that a lot of the ppl who became part of Vought didn't learn their powers super well outside of for show which makes sense. Like unlike other conic book shows they're always their biggest issue, not an outside supervillain. Like eveb half their saves are just shows that were rehearsed.
A nuclear reactor that can generate electricity is something so op that it will eclipse the power scaling of the entire show.she could have city levels power on her hand if she just tried to do this
It's almost unfathomable that she could destroy an entire city if she just sat down and opened a text book.it's actually kind of funny
When I realized it was at the end of season 3 when starlight was up against soldier boy. That whole dramatic light scene with Hughie and her floating up just to knock soldier boy back and he just got back up without a scratch.
I hope that they are ramping up to her developing her powers. In her defense, Starlight is genuinely stronger than many other supes. She's bulletproof whereas not all supes are. Same with her strength. Her powers are nowhere near as "lame" as someone like a Mesmer. Even Sister Sage is vulnerable to a gunshot. It can literally kill her if not a headshot. And from a storytelling standpoint, Starlight can't be too powerful. It makes sense that a lot of her adversaries (Soldier Boy, Stormfront, Homelander, Neuman, A-Train in season 1) are stronger than her. Otherwise she'd just kick their asses and be done with it.
Starlight accidentally blinded someone when she was young, so it is possible she's never truly reached her full potential with her powers and has been subconsciously holding herself back due to fear of hurting others and guilt. I hope that once her powers stop malfunctioning, she learns to use them to their full potential.
Shes one of the only supes that can fly and her powere destroys most things she pulls her energy from
i remember that moment in season 3 where she absorbed all the energy she can hold to blast soldier boy and it did absolutely nothing
Starlight loses -1000 aura when her eyes light up
Looks like a toddler getting angry, is that supposed to be scary or emposing when she glows her eyes?
If starlight had proper physical training as a fighter and/or assassin, her photoeletric powers could be used as disorientation.
Flashing bright lights could render people blind, even if Supes had good healing factors, the flashbang is enough to buy her time to land a lethal attack using a dagger or a gun.
She and Queen Maeve need to have a sit down and really have a heart to heart on how to best utilize those powers. I can't believe she was ever inducted into The Seven at all with how bad she uses her own powers.
She WOULDN'T be inducted into The Seven, period.
did you pay attention to the show at all? Supes don't enter the 7 because they're strong, but because they're marketable. Wtf is the Deep's power, and i mean one that's actually useful?
@@planeta3059 I pay better attention to every detail than most people, including you. How the hell is a superhero with a terrible moveset marketable? Kids all over the world won't want to buy toys of a superhero who shines a really bright flashlight. Or at least, that is how she seemed up until the most recent episodes. I will admit that they added a few new tricks to her bag, finally.
@@JoshTWWilliamsbro thats the point most supes have either shitty powers or ugly ones, you think a white blonde girl who looks innocent and makes light out of her hands isn't marketable ???
@@JoshTWWilliams her powers literally have no bearing on why they chose her. they outright say, they wanted people from the bible belt to throw their money at vought...she marketable because she's an innocent religious blonde smalltown girl. her powers are quite literally performative, she can make light shine and stand there and look pretty. their "saves" are all faked anyways, their powers don't mean shit.
Even in the characters in universe dont take her seriously, A train just laughs her off.
I lost all hope when she got 'supercharged' by a whole building and it was just a flashbang.
Tbf, A-train is one the strongest supes. He can easily dodge Starlight's plasma bolts, as we saw in their fight.

Starlight greatest weakness is definitely she can’t retain the energy. She uses it and loses it.
If Starlight was an anime character she would be absolutely busted EVEN IF she was underpowered.
she always talk about burning peoples eyes out BUT NEVER BLINDS ANYONE like the eyes and ears are supes ONLY WEAKNESS

At this point is it really a surprise? Aside from Soldier Boy are any of the Supes that really that impressive?
A-Train's powers are extremely powerful. We saw what he did to Blue Hawk who is another supe. Turned him into Roadkill. He also overpowered Kimiko and nearly knocked her out, so A-Train is definitely powerful. Hell, if it weren't for his fear he would put up a good fight against Homelander. If Butcher and even Hughie could land a punch on him then A-Train could hit Homelander literally a million times in like 1 minute. And speed build's up energy. He runs fast enough he could definitely bypass Homelander's durability as well. Not to mention, being able to cover all of New York City in 30 seconds is insane.

her powers make sense and could foreshadow her potential strength, we may have never even seen her 100 percent. for 1, when she absorbs a minor amount of power and knocks out a PowerGrid it could imply she has a large cap like a big battery she needs high wattage cause her powers are so potent aka it could be the starlight needs a wayyyy bigger power source to use her real powers. (supported in the studio when she says "i didnt know i could do that" after huey amped her up. she never had a power source big enough to let her use that much/also she just might have a short range for absorbtion and when she flys around the city she pulls from each building)
I love starlight power I just wish they give her more !! Where her light can melt people skin
I'm still struggling to understand what she can actually do, like does she fire intense light or electrical blasts or electrocute people like what are her powers exactly?
Also yeah, if you're charged via electricity then being in a major city would be like a psyker in 40K literally going into the warp! You know the place that gives them their psychic abilities! Be like when Iron Man gets hit with Thors lightning 😂😂 remember?
Think a like energy force she’s kind of just blasting people with force that releases bright light in the process
She's in her training arc. Soon she'll be able to take out homelander with nothin but fuzzy socks and a carpet
Her powers are so wildly inconsistent. Like in a city she should be like top 10 most dangerous supes but even before the whole stress related power dysfunction of this season she just hasn't performed that well.
Cuclops cab actually destroy a planet he has done it before
After i saw her charge up all that energy to blast soldier boy a few feet away, i gave up on her. As if the plastic surgery didnt do enough damage to her
he’s literally the most powerful supe on the show and if a punch from homelander couldn’t send him flying far enough, what makes you think a weaker supe with no experience could? you’re obviously a nobody chris and I’d suggest 10x the strength of her surgery to fix whatever tragedy transpired on your face
Her powers have so much potential to be so cool, she needs a huge buff
I think shes way more durable and strong than people are considering
Her fight w the shapeshifter showed that her strength, durability, and speed outweigh kimiko by a land slide.
Also, considering she learned how to fly this season id take that sd a sign that her pwoers are still growing. Wed be naive to think she just unlocked flying and thats it.
So i think that prewriting for the powerup is obviously in play.
They want Superman leveled characters to fight homelander in an epic battle so they can spend the rest of their days jerking off to it lol. No one actually cares for the story of these shows anymore, they just want straight action or someone getting killed every 5 seconds so the most we can do is sit knowing her character has been through all she’s been through for a reason.
I think the crescendo is her revealing her true potential.
I been thinking that Starlight was trash. Honestly, i think Soldier boy is a much more compelling hero. Starlight's blasts don't even burn the person, they're just concussive blasts. A-Train whos barely faster than the speed of sound was able bully her, and even at 100% she wasn't able yo do any meaningful damage. Hell, Hughie on temp V was better, that teleportation with enhanced speed and strength was useful. Honestly, Starlight is more of a mascot, or a political figure than someone with real power. She'd be better of just blinding the person and then beating them up. She has mild super strength after all
Starlight charged to the max, levitated off the ground, and just Soldier Boy point blank with a max charged blast. It only stunned him for a few seconds after knocking him back a few feet.
5:41 she literally did this with stormfront, blinded her so meave and kimiko could get the upper hand. She’s had some moments of technicality. I personally just believe she’s inexperienced and so young that she doesn’t understand herself fully compared to nearly everyone else who’s had YEARS to figure themselves out. Now that she’s done with her identity crisis I feel like she’s finally going to discover her true strength.
It’s just like in the comics, she was never in the 7 because of her power. She was there to be for a lack of a better term, an Onahole😅
A commercial a minute in is diabolical bro. I thought i switched videos by mistake
You basically said it: she needs to be more tactical and better figure out her powers, rather than the powers themselves being the problem.
Easy superpower storytelling rule: rather than have a hero full use his powers from the start and then need to have power evolution to ramp things up (which can involve ass pulls), flesh out the max powers ahead of time but have the hero imperfect at using them. Then you have a built-in line of progress that can be used for dramatic purposes.
With one season left after this one, it's a safe assumption that the show is planning on giving us peak Starlight powers by the series finale, and the sometimes annoying imperfect use of them now will be paid off then. If they do it right - and if they're not flying by the seat of their pants!
I think in (THE BOYS) show series, StarLight’s powers should develop an increase, due to something she got exposed to somewhere.
In addition I suggest that StarLight, should develop electrical flight-power ability, and electrical teleportation ability.
I also suggest that StarLight, develops another ability, and that is to be able to create an electrical force-field.
Plus to add I suggest that, StarLight of the show, should develop a mega bright flash-blast power.
You know those dusty ass old phones with battery % dropping WHILE plugged into a charger? Yeah, that's Starlight
in season 1 episode 1 she makes it a point that she can blind people with her powers. ..Then she just never blinds anyone ever. That would make her more OP if she could actually blind someone. I love her character but I hate how they underpower her
It’s a budget thing. Producers/show runners can only do so much with they money their given. They should sparse out showings of her abilities so it’s more consistent.
Then just make the flashes bigger and make it to where people fly back farther
@@user-rj5hz2ct6xthen she would literally appear strong as hell when the whole point of the past 3 seasons has been that she’s a joke of the seven who feels out of place. Regardless of what they do people are always going to cry about strength balancing so it’s a lost cause honestly.
@@SolanersRevengee the problem is that she’s shown to be powerful in the first few episodes and it’s straight up stated that she accidentally blinded somebody as a little girl makes no sense right now her blast barely even hurt
@@user-rj5hz2ct6x I think you’re forgetting her blasts aren’t just brute blasts, they’re also insanely bright which is kinda literally in her name. Her blinding someone at a young age was never intentional, she was literally a kid with little to no control over how to use her powers. She was not even that strong the first couple episodes they mainly showed her training but she never had no really strong introduction like nueman etc.
@@SolanersRevengee no I’m talking about how she was able to benchpress a car without seeming to be under much stress and yet she hasn’t shown that much strength pretty much ever since, and yes, her blast are very powerful considering they’ve been able to kill people on accident
After that finale something tells me that her powers aren’t trash anymore
They never were trash, just weak because she barely used them and when she did it was in the basic way she knew how.
Yeah, her powers are pretty lame.
Jubbilee casually washes.
I'm sure everyone can instantly recall her one shotting Wolverine from X-Men😮😂
They just did her bogus! There’s characters who absorb electricity to charge themselves and they’re sooo much stronger look at Chloe from Infamous. He has to absorb electricity to charge himself and he’s extremely powerful. They should have gave her lighting, but they gave it to Stormfront
I have a hard time believing she could be on the seven with her power set.
The fact that homelander even laughs while telling her to stop makes it even worse, shes a complete joke of a meta human
Actually, the only reason Cyclops needs a visor is do to head trauma, if he hadn't been injured as a child he would have full control over his powers.
They might not need a boost. She might be like a swollen phone battery and is releasing energy inefficiently as she absorbs it. That's probably why she pulls it from other sources, sparks fly, but she's barely powered. She's leaking it somehow. So she might need to control better
All she has to do is dial her powers up to 10 and blind everyone in the room.
Homelander... Down
Soldier boy ... Down
Easy.
Starlight charged for like 30 minutes, levitated and shit, and all she did against soldier boy, was sort of knock him over
True. But I believe that’s the point. She’s nearly perfect in many ways. Her main flaw is her powers. Adds depth to the character. A Train only became interesting when he had to recover and get his mojo back. I mean look how they’ve changed the story already. Howie should have kicked ATrains head clean off by now…so basically if it seems kinda stupid in this series, they’re “character building”.
Starlight's powers are more than meets the eye.
Her lets call "staple" V gifts (Durability, Strength, Stamina etc.) While far from say Homelander and Stormfront, she is still vastly higher than the majority of Supes in The Boys' Universe.
For her unique ability I think its more accurate to say - Starlight sucks at using her own powers.
Her strength and durability are still at superhuman levels….just not at Queen Maeve or Stormfront levels, a normal powered human wouldn’t be able to hang with her in a fight….unlike Translucent 😂
The fact she always needs powered up objects around her instead of being able to store some sucks
When homelander is trying to laser hughie at vought on ice. MM blinds homelander for a split second with just studio lights. So she has the potential to at least throw his sight off in a desperate moment but thats never going to happen because she is horrible at using her powers.
Just make her so she doesnot need any power source just like automaticly electrcity is in her or smt
It's unclear if Starlight's underwhelming feats are a feature of her being inexperienced with her powers, or if that's just how unimpressive her power set really is. It's clear that she hasn't discovered her upper limits, since she's just now learning that she can fly, but if she can learn to be more "economical" with her energy absorption (that is, not needing to wipe out a city block's power for a few seconds of flight time), she would be a lot more powerful. She does have increased strength and durability, but those are not uncommon among supes. Heightened strength and durability seem to be a baseline for many, if not all, supes. So even without her light powers, she can take down average humans with ease, but going up against other supes is a challenge.
In the last episode, she goes up against Deep, and pretty much owns him and they toss each other around for a bit. However, neither of them really use their signature abilities, so it's just heightened strength and durability being exchanged.
Should have her ride the electromagnetic fields created by the electric grid to fly.
Uh… so? Her powers aren’t supposed to be able to compete with the likes of Homelander. She’s a mid-level supe at best. Yet clearly learning how to use her powers for more than just the obvious. The flying is a neat trick, though not all that useful so far. She’d be badass in the parking lot of a power plant.
It’s obviously a deliberate choice not to make her either just a straight Maeve type brawler or give her a more technically ‘useful’ power. If she was more powerful, she might actually be tempted to take on Homelander, or be expected to. Now, I don’t remember what her power is in the comics, and I’d rather boil my eyeballs than read those again, but it’s doubtful the original writer wanted her anywhere near Homelander’s level of power. I mean, she might threaten The Deep, but even A-Train would make pretty short work of her because he’s faster than her ability to aim. Old Noir probably could have taken her, as his ability to tank damage was impressive.
Until Homelander got hand stabby, anyway.
She might have been able to blind Noir, but not sure she’d even get the chance.
Her powers are supposed to be kind of lame. Better than talking to fish, though.
Ok and? If her powers are meant to be trash then newsflash genius it's still trash.
@@colindowden2182her powers aren't trash its just not everyone is gonna be homelander strong.
@@hawkeyemihawkgettingmoneylord No it's trash.
Thats why anime powers are better to have irl or they are more convenient and easier or more usable
I understand homelander not being scared but butcher while sick and no powers was still pressing her
Now unless she had an Arc reactor, her powers requires too much energy to do basic stuff. All she can do is make simple flashbangs compared to the damage Electro can do
She needs a buff bruh imagine she just starts beaming dudes with big lasers
Yh that's what I think everytime I see it
Like you’re telling me the writers can make her blind the woman in Walmart but now that she’s trained she don’t do shit. These writers need to step up she has so much potential.
My take is that Starlights not meant to be a powerhouse;but she’s a good manipulator and can talk her way out of anything. That’s her real superpower and the only reason why she’s even alive
if she can absorb energy she needs to be like Cole from infamous 😮
I think Hughie did more with his powers in the couple eps he had them compared to what Starlite did with hers the entire series.
I mean his powers were more useful and hard to counter so obviously lmao
I mean the thing that makes wolverines powers interesting is his healing factor. You don’t need the claws.
