    As a Meitei I feel Meiteis will need to know Meitei's long history and present it for others to see. The British and India severed the unbilical connection of Meties to the hills and forests of Manipur.
    The connection of Meitei to the land of Manipur is so strong that any real threat to the intergrity of Manipur will very likley result in a civil war and massacre
    Tankhuls and Kabui have closer ties with Meiteis. Maybe the Nagas of Manipur share more in common history with the Meiteis than they share with the Nagas of Nagaland. So there is possibility of concilation between the Nagas and the Meiteis.
    As for the Kukis, it seems that they have so much invested in the idea of an exclusivist Kuki homeland and considering the ongoing conflict with the Meiteis their leaders are likley to continue their campaign for homeland both above ground and underground.
    But chances are that Kukis resources and influnce will dwindle in Manipur if the GOI decides to crackdown on illegal migration and poppy cultivation and if SoO is genuinely investigated and scrutinised.

      Naga doest have any connection or relation with the meitei. Nagas are Nagas, Meitei are meitei two different community. Dont bring the Naga brother card to save your Meitei ass 😅😅

      @@Naga-Tastaturkriegerin what way Nagas will save Meitei ass, we've saved ourselves for 2k years, it'll remain d same. But in Manipur or India exclusivity ideas will not be entertained.
      N if this world by your logic then every community will have to fight till death.😂

    • @darwinsankhil1953
      @darwinsankhil1953 Před 27 dny +2

      I think all communities that neighbours each other share some commonalities. The tribals in Manipur to be specific the Nagas share closer ties with the Nagas of Nagaland in terms of food habits, costumes, language, way of life etc. The Maos/Poumais share closer ties with the angamis and chakhesang, the northern tangkhuls too have closer ties with chakhesang tribe eg check Chingjaroi village. The Zemes or Liangmais are recognised as Zeliang tribe in Nagaland. They share closer ties with western angamis as well. So to assume that the tribals don’t share ties with Nagas of Nagaland is absurd. Tbh the boundary of Manipur Nagaland is not fenced by a tall structure. For years, people have been living in the area and of course they are bound to interact and have close ties. Also the tribals living in the periphery of Imphal valley and those villages situated in ancient trade routes will have closer ties with the Meiteis. So don’t say the Meiteis have closer ties with the tribals than with the Nagas of Nagaland.

      Nagas are by blood and language custom and upland dwellers.... They are actually one but seperated by ignorant british and perpetuated by Nehru administration.... But naga soul is still one... Using kuki army and IDF and gorkha rifles will not end the ties and make permanent division - shri GK pillai ji and idsa think tank🙏. Even malayali ppl didn't want to be one state with tamil nadu state and so Mr VB menon, krishna menon has torn it out of madras presidency

    Manipur I hve to say provide a healthy human resrce to India .With such a tiny population compare to UP,Bihar,TN we are under top 3 in National Games of India every year.
    And the Nagas they are also in Manipur they lived here.Yet they support the nagaland. What I meant is that when their is a national highway blckge in Nagaland by the Nagas ,every1 suffers the Manipuri,the Meiteis,the Nagas,and so on.Yet,the Nagas never stand up against their own community which are brings scourge to their life

    I think if our so called politicians of Manipur start doing only half of the measures you suggested, 80% of the problems will be solved. But words never gonna change the ground reality until our govt come forward and accept the truth and start doing some real work there.We all know the problems there. As a citizen of Manipur I am facing these problems and listening our leaders singing their songs about all these... but no change happens. Everyone just playing the blame game for decades.
