- I finally got around to making a video of my hints and hacks for the Slingerbag.
Slingerbag is a tennis ball launcher that helps you practice hitting tennis balls.
This video has:
General helpful hints. Strapping on the oscillator.
Charging the Slinger or the battery separately.
Hack for fixing the problem of balls getting stuck on the sides and not dropping into the feeder.

Bought my Slinger a year ago. Best video seen for charging.
The hero we need, not the one we deserve. Thank you for this video!!
Hello there, i wonder, how's your exp with slinger bag?
Is it good?
Is it worth the money?
Thanks for answering
Good idea with the air cushions. I used the packing foam that the used to ship my Slinger. I cut it to size and it made the ball area more rigid. Fixed the issue for me.
I’m 12 I’m a boy and you helped me so much thank u I didn’t know how to do this stuff if it wasn’t for you thank u 🙏 and have a fantastic day.
Excellent ! I was worried about to bring slinger bag as checked baggage in the aircraft from EUA to my country (because the batteries )
Now I got that I can remove the battery and bring with me as my carry-on luggage
Many thanks ! I will buy it
Mate, what excellent points!! Thanks so much from Australia!
This is such a helpful video. Not used mine yet (arrived today) but hacks and hints like this are fab!! Thanks for taking the time to do this.
Thank you for this video. I got a machine today. It is helpful!
Super helpful. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome hacks, love the air cushions idea. Thank you!
Very helpful thank you
Fantastic tips
The air pads are a great idea to keep the balls from getting stuck in the back.
For the ball to not get stuck I applied the "Professional-Grade Moldable Plastic Pellets by Polly Plastics" from amazon. I applied it on that panel in a slopy mold and glued it. To fix the issue of the ball not feeding I molded more of that noted mold and shaped the mold so that the crosswise shaft is further raised up a bit more than an inch and glued it on. On the dial section for adjusting the ball height from the luanch pad I appied a white "Fine Paint Marker for Rock Painting-Stone, Ceramic, Metal, Glass, Wood,Set of 6 Paint Pens High Volume Ink High Volume Ink for DIY Craft" from Amazon. I applied it on the black line marker for better visibility even from a distance. On the opening of the bag from the top entrance to place the racket I placed an elastic fiber string crosswise (made two a heated metal hole on both sides) and that is where I hang my towel. There's more but this is enough for now. Thanks for letting me share.
Very helpful.
Very helpful! Thank you!
Great video! Thanks so much!
Wow!! You did that! Great job man.
These are super! Thanks!
Very clever
Thanks.
AWESOME
Hi! Great video and tips. I just got my slinger, would you happen to know if the slinger can be stored on its back? or is it strictly meant to be upright? (wondering how to store it properly in my trunk)
I transport mine on it’s back, but usually have it upright when not in use. If you plan to leave it in the trunk for long periods, remove the battery for charging and storage.
@@Codesta thanks!
Hi ! First thanks for the video. Do you know how I can fix my slinger ball. He don’t turn inside and takes no ball.
It’s hard to know the problem with your machine unless I have more information. If the plate holding the balls doesn’t turn it could mean that there is a ball jam deep inside the machine.
How long do you have to charge the battery and do all the lights need to be on to know it’s fully charged ? Only have two lights showing charged for quite a long time it works but only two lights show…
I have seen where about 10-12 balls remain in the hopper when it 'runs out of balls'. I think this is the greatest design oversight. I attached some stiff plastic grid material, cut to size, to the existing mesh liner. I used a craft supply: "Rug Hooking Mesh Canvas" availavbe for a few dollars at the local art/crafts supply store.
I think this is one of the major design flaws in the Slinger, but I would vote the charger as the biggest design mistake. People often think that their Slinger is fully charged when they see the green light when that isn’t always the case.
Any tips on fixing the turn table inside the machine not turning. Thanks!
Sorry, I don’t know. You should contact Slinger support by email.
Anyone use or have noticed if an adjustment of height with a 'fold out stool' under this slinger ( including occilator helps in better delivery of balls?)
Any tips for making the ball tube more adept at actually holding the balls? Occasionally some balls slip past the teeth at the end of the tube making an even bigger PITA to pick up the balls to reload.
I’ve never a problem with balls falling out. Could be that your balls are getting too old. I suggest replacing with newer balls.
Can you post the link on Amazon where I can buy the air pads please? Thanks a lot
I didn’t buy the air cushions. I get them sometimes when I buy things from Amazon inside the box for cushioning of the goods.
Hello! I just purchased a new slinger. I tried charge either from the machine or directly from the battery the indicator keeps green without red. Charging over night and turning the machine on still no lights come on. Any solutions? Thanks!
Same with my bag just received
@@pencilmug Mine has been replaced
Very disappointed … I hope your new bag is working …!
@@pencilmug It’s working. Just need to more time to know it.
Where did u get that screw set?
Sorry, I can’t remember. Try looking in the dollar store or home improvement store.
How often should you change the batteries in the remote? I am asking because my Slinger doesn't turn on. I have no idea what the problem could be.
Join the Slinger owners forum on Facebook. Many users there that can help. facebook.com/groups/336169403615147/?ref=share
Make sure attachment that goes on adapter is clicked in all the way…you will hear it click into place…. Hope this helps …
Can you use the Slinger and charge continuously when playing with another battery. Example like the Slinger battery and then the Slinger get charge by another battery. Like a cable charging the Slinger while your playing to extend the play time.
I’ve never charged it while I’m using it. Others have suggested just purchasing an extra Slinger battery, taking it with you and swapping it out when the first battery is drained.
@@Codesta ahh thanks I see. Hmm, I wonder would it catch on fire if you continuously charge it while playing, I guess I'll be the one to test it out, I don't know, lol.
What is that brush called? Where can I find it?
It's just a cleaning brush I got from the dollar store. One end is soft which is good for wiping off the tennis ball fibers.
Ahh yes - that is the Slinger brush 2.0. Best in it's class - will only cost $98.98 with 2 day shipping.
@@andrewgray2632 Yep! Comes with the Grand Slam package if you order 1 year in advance and pay the small VIP fee of $40.
Got mine last Week. THX for the Video!!
Also anyone tried shooting tennis balls from a Pickleball Slingerbag?
my charging brick is so hot, making me a little nervous about sleeping while it charges
I’ve never timed it, but I would say it takes about 4 hours to charge. Maybe you could set an alarm to remind yourself when to check it and turn it off.
Charged battery overnight no power nothing no lights indicate power nothing….🤬😵💫☹️🙄🤷♀️ not even adapter indicates any light….after a few in’s & out’s and jiggling attachment making sure of good connection It shows lights on but only two showing…. take.forever to charge….hopefully with a few more hours it’ll ‘WORK’…..
The marketing of Slingerbag is great. This product has nothing to do with a ballmachine. The concept is great but you buy a ball bag, ball pickup tool, phone charger and a ball machine with only 1 shooting wheel so it can only shoot low speed topspin balls. The people that bought a Slingerbag, have never seen a real ball machine. In this video you see also the problems or weaknesses of the Slingerbag. And really there are good ball machines for the price of a Slingerbag but these ball machines don't market their product as Dunlop does. And when you ever bought a Slingerbag, you won't tell others that it really is a poor kind of ballmachine. You only see the videos of "people that are so happy with it because they have never tried a real ball machine". As ball machine specialist, tennis trainer and engineer I can only say "yes, the price is good" and nothing more.
Please show us the ball machines that are at the same price as Slingerbag. We would like to see what you’re talking about. By the way, I got mine as a Kickstarter backer at a lower price with little to no marketing.
