Oh, this looks like the perfect trip. 3 couples and time for your partner and time for the girls built in is so smart! I went to Oahu w a couple of friends in May. We traveled on a much tighter budget, but it was cool to find out how cheaply things could be done. My biggest regret was not finding an inexpensive way to have a car. My advice to anyone planning to go to Oahu is at least get a car for 2 or 3 days of your stay. There are so many great places that are hard to get to without one.
I think that is definitely one of the (many) negative things that came out of covid is that because remote work is so common now, employers expect you to work all the time even if you are sick or out of town. Personally I would not consider this a vacation since you still had to work, but I hope you were able to relax a little bit and make some fun memories.
