Danny, the Bob Ross of die cast restorations! 🔥🔥🔥
From the diecast graveyard to fully restored. Nice job Danny
I have had this one since I was a kid. Even then I was disappointed in it but man, this makes me need to grab it and do something good to it!
I used to have a gold in color toy pickup truck like that back in the early 1980s, great restoration on the toy Chevy truck😊❤👍
Great looking truck, a co worker friend of mine had a bright yellow with black bars. Thanks for the memory.
Looks better than before restoration
Sometimes these cheap castings make the most satisfying restorations. Great work.
That's an amazing resurrection!
Danny Amazing job with your Restoring of the Soma Chevy Stepside Pickup . Awesome details and Paintjob.
Nice job Danny, looks great in that candy orange.... very nice Chevy Stepside 👍
Quite a makeover there, great work 👍 very sharp looking Chevy, great colour and wheels.
Like very much of these "cheap-brand" diecast restorations 🙂
You worked some magic on that one sweet
Nice build, details and paint job 👍👍
Top notch work there and your 3d printed parts added some extra class 👍🏼
Brilliant transformation 👍😀
These are the kinds of restorations and restomods I love watching the most! :) A beautiful treasure in the rough just waiting for a chance to be "polished" and shine like a star! :)
Terrific work on this casting Danny! :)
nice ready for small diorama
Looks good Danny; nice to see shiny paint on something for a change.😁
Greetings buddy, great job and beautiful result 👍
Fantastic restoration. You’re lifting the level of skill by fabricating new parts and detailed painting. Thanks for the video.
That’s sharp! Well done!
definitely shabby to shiny as Rob would say. hard to believe what it started out as. amazing transformation
Wow that turned out beautiful! I still have my hot wheels, matchbox, road champs and corgi collection dating all the way back to 1965. I would love to redo the ones that need it. But most are still in top notch condition as I always took care of them.
Awesome work as always.
100 percent on the paint .
SOOOOO KOOOOOLLLLL.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎
Great Job again Dan!
Ah! The chance to clean up those side windows to remove the wing window posts. California style. 😉 Good work. Enjoy the shows!
Looks great, nice build.
Hi Danny, fantastic job very impressed.
Stepping up your game with the 3D printer…nicely done!
I have the same model.Same problem with suspension :) My orginally was blue .Great work!
Quite the transformation!
Wow! Great restomod!
Wow! I used to have one of those and they were total cheapness. Love what you did to make this one really stand out!
Excellent job, looks great 🙂👍
Great one danny!! Love that you måde the interrior. You are inspiration to all of us
I love this kinda stuff I wish I had the talent and expertise to actually restore what looks at first glance like junk back to its former glory.
Fantastic job, looks great mate
WOW... well done!
Very nice work as always I love it brother Lee
Awesome! Very motivating video! I have a few beat up castings hanging around.
Very nice job mate. Looks great with all the additions
Great job your awsome how you turn a diecast from ragged shape to a show winner I don't think there is a diecast out there bet you can't make shine like a new penny love the truck would be great in a display case man that truck rocks keep up the magnificent work.
Sweet rest mod Danny!
Cool job love it awesome job the the color is just right for it
so many brands : speed wheels, fast wheel, zee toys, zylmex , road tough, phillipine jeepney , unbrandeds --- collect them all !
Nice upgrade 👍
Looks great. Need a Chevrolet decal on the tailgate.
Great result
Awesome job !
Hey Danny. This video really caught my attention. I have one and my brother has one of these trucks from our childhood. I have both of them sitting in front of me while I was watching this video. The 2 I have are in a lot worse shape. Mine is a green on. Half the front grill and chassis (Front quarter), the front axle & wheels, and the rear suspension piece are missing on mine. My brother's is a red one. All the chassis is there except the rear suspension piece is missing, both axles, where the front axle sits is where the chassis broke, and the window unit is missing. What's cool with my brother's, is his came with a piece that was attached to the bed and had fence like boards around the sides. those have broken off years ago, but the "liner" piece is still in the bed.
This video has given me hope in getting these 2 beautiful trucks, from my brother's and my childhood, new life. Thank you for that. Cheers. (Alex, Idaho, USA)
Very cool. Who ever made it, it's a rebranded Yatming casting. You can spot the difference between the Yatming and the rebrand because the Yatming has a much more detailed gill, and the tailgate reads 'Chevrolet' on it.
I actually have a detailed yatming one it is one of my favorite toy trucks
Absolutely stunning restoration of a well worn truck. Loved your additional details. Beautiful color choice and repair of the broken bumpers. Well done and thanks for the video.
Awesome wheels!
Great job Danny
Very nice work 👍 turned out great.

Wow what a gorgeous salvage job, this may be one of my favorites of all the ones you've done!
Looks fantastic
Another beauty, Danny
Beautiful
A very interesting and impressive work.
I have an army version of this exact same truck.
Good job
U forgot the smoke stacks exhaust on the side that's why there a hole going through it 😁👌
Gran trabajo!
Very nice!
Road champ. Chevy stepside. Truck. 1980
i have that exact one but its different wheels and also made in china all original too except center axle holder is broke ...glued wheel axles in place ....great lil trucks
Reminds me of the C10 from The Driver movie from the 70's
Awesome job lv it
Great job Danny. This was a pretty big mess and you gave it new life with some great upgrades. Love the trick you pulled with windshield. I've done something similar with a monte carlo race car a few months back. Solid job my friend 😎👊
Nice
I've got a couple of the yatming versions of this .. I have over 2000 loose diecast cars from all different brands that my dad and I have collected since he and I were both kids
And a bunch of more high-end diecast cars still in the package such as Johnny lightning and many more
Wonderfull!!
Thank you friend. Excellent video. I'm already your subscriber.
Fabulous
Spectacular restoration, congratulations. Did you design and create the 3D pieces or did you download them? Thank you
Como en los 70's compre varias y todavía las tengo en mi colección.
It looks like Playart (which I think were also marketed as Roadchamps) the wheels I think are the give-away
I have that truck in a worn-out red color on my shelf
awesome work my friend. please, may i ask u where u getting those nice wheels from ?
What’s up with the space at the bottom of the front of the stepside bed? Its like something is missing there. I have a few of these trucks but mine doesn’t have that gap.
This thing looks like a background truck from no country for old men
I have a denim blue road champs
From Dollar Store truck to Premium Ride
Road. Champ. Chevy stepside
No paper license plate on the back
Yeah it is heaps better
Yes,YES, *YEEEEESSS‼️*
*WWW😍W❗*
I L❤️VE Trucks.
I reeeally need ta get me a 3D Printer,dammit.
(Is yours a filament type or resin type❓🤔).
I have both but you definitley need a resin printer for stuff this small 👍
Am I first? 🤯

Not a very good casting of a Chevy truck.
You made it look good.
tbh, still done better (mean original casting, by tooling) than some diecasts nowadays. but true that Dannys work makes it perfect.
