I'm just a soon to be old rifle hunting lady that doesnt bow hunt, although I do enjoy shooting my Green Bear bow in the garage and I so enjoy your videos. Learning about deer behavior through your eyes is fascinating. Knowing you're out in a remote part of the woods, in the dark, in all kinds of weather, not taking a bad shot does my heart good. I enjoy the talking and watching and learning the deer habits. Hunted the same days last week, bucks were trolling. I notice bucks cut corners and move along the edges. A few times now I’ve sat along trails, but bucks cut corners and all of a sudden my 20yd shot became a 40yd shot out of range. Just something I’ve noticed, when you talk about stuff and I’ve had the same experience the lightbulbs go off hah

i was you years ago when i was young ,and you did what i would have done,its always about doing the right thing and you did beat him and respected what you hunt and for sure they win most of the time but thats what fair chase is all about.I also love just seeing them,you are a fine young man doing it the right way

The feeling is mutual, for the respect and love you have for these animals. That was intense having him right there. The quartering forward shot is lethal, but not an easy shot to pull off, and he was a bit to close. A lot better choice then wounding him.

Thanks! It’s situational with each cut, time of year, and how loud or quiet the woods is that day. That’s a very broad question. Just gotta focus on the deer sign and have a quiet entrance and exit that’s the most important.

try sticking any food you have in a ziplok bag. Any food I take with me gets taken out of its original packaging and into a ziplok which doesnt make much noise

I also hunt in the mountains but in WV . These Huge mountains put me in damn good shape for 3 months lol . But man it’s hard hunting especially when your trying to take a older bigger buck .
It’s tough but it’s fun to challenge yourself. Helps you learn more and and become more immersed in the outdoors
