‘’The Dave Standard of Cleaning’’ luv it! You and me both😊
Thanks for the upload. I love your attention to detail and the way you explain the how, what and whys of the job with a mind to the engineering principles that justify them. So many experts out there talkin' pish!! Good to watch a trustworthy source.
Thanks, I try to get through the bs if I can
After 43 years a dream came true, a SP1, and I am enjoying a lot the experience, but I don't understand shit about maintenance, what to do, when, how, etc!!! Watching your tips we can learn lot... super fan of you... since you did that videos repairing the sp1 of your friend...
Hope it's all helpful
Brilliant Dave! It’s all coming along nicely & professionally. Highlighting chain care & maintenance for those that have ‘em.👌
Another great video thanks Dave! Good to see some old school chain removal still being utilised.😊
Love this content on the RC51! I just recently got a SP2 and as someone who plans to do every maintaining job on it, it's great to have a visual guide that's very recent.
Great bike, I hope this all helps
Thank you Dave for another great episode. I think I need to add that chain tension tool to my tool box! Hope all is well and cheers from soggy Southern California!
Loving the series. I seem to remember on the RC51 Facebook group there is someone now 3D printing SP1 Chain sliders.
That's handy to know!
Another exceptional video.😊
THANK YOU. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
Good evening Dave…….👍👌🇮🇲
Spot on!
Brilliant clean me bum. 👌🇬🇧
Dave am buzzing with these videos I am actually doing the exact same to my new sp1 (new to me) ... Bit of a novice with the general maintenance and these videos have helped me bigtime... Question on the chain.... How slack or taught is it supposed to be?
General rule is 25-30mm at the slackest point, and too tight is more of an issue than too loose!
Excellent watch one question which in your opinion is the best lube on the chain engine oil unused or spray on chain lube ? or is either one ok cheers👌👍
Chain lube, designed with special polymers to pull into the chain not just fling off
🧿
4 mins in.. The easiest way is to angle grind(cut) through the chain itself? The fastest way, I find.
17.500km / 10873,99 milen my yamaha drivetrain was 😏 in use ! only street-pilot tieres are useless at 43.49 mph they starting to "slide" all this miles from "new"
why do you not marking the rest of the sprocket-screws with a screw locking paint ?
Where can I buy a chain stretch tool please Dave?
Drop me a message via the website, I can supply
@@obsession_engineering will do mate.
Where do you get the chain stretch tool from ?
Can't seem to find one 😂
I can supply them, the importer is trade only. Drop me a message via the website ObsessionEngineering.co.uk
Dave, just cut right through your old chain with the angry grinder! you aint re-using it, are you?
I hate to seem like im criticising experts and people who clearly know way more than me but i always just grind right through the chain links if im replacing chains and it’s going in the bin anyway. Why not do that?
That is a very fair point. It's a habit from race chains, as we sometimes shorten or lengthen a chain
Ah yes 🧐
So, theres a dude that does chain guides for Sp's on a 3d printer, ment to be decent quality.
From Italy (I think)
