Parkrun with Sore Glutes

- On Saturday 4th May 2024 I choose Goole parkrun in East Yorkshire for my 131st parkrun & 37th at a different venue. West Park Goole is the stunning location of this popular event which attracts over 200 park runners each week. However I arrived at the event in some considerable pain with delayed onset muscle soreness commonly referred to as D.O.M.S. The soreness was from a Strength & Conditioning session I did on Thursday morning only 2 days before this parkrun. That was my first S&C workout for over a month, the last one being 3rd April which was 11 days before the Manchester Marathon. I think I also overdid it in the gym, especially with the wellness ball performing glute bridges. I was therefore hopeful that I could shake some of the soreness off with the massage gun I did last night & the warm up before parkrun. I managed to get round the 5k course bang on 24 minutes coming in 54th out of 204 park runners and placed 2nd in my age group, with an age grading just over 70 per cent. Hope you enjoy the video

@@samsonslaphead1 I was all in black, 6ft 2in. I was walking behind you when you doing piece to camera before start, you can see me walking away from you. Was about to say hi as I walked by but your were talking/filming! 😊
