Fakt ist:
Jeder Deutsche liebt Videos wo "Nicht Deutsche" deutsche Sachen probieren oder Deutsch reden.😂
Ja man ist so😂
Omg ja😂
Jaaa
Ed's Sheerio das stimmt 😂
Definitely we do! Aber unter uns : Fakt schreibt sich ohne c ;-)
They actually said “carola”.. i first thought they’d say “corona” 😂😂
Same
Hahahaha samee
HAHAHHAHAHAH ja
I think it might be Karola. I worked with a lady from Germany named Karola. :)
Yeeesss mee too😂😂
:(
Where are these sweets from 😂 I’m from Germany and never have seen moste of this things here 🤷🏼♀️
East germany
I live in east germany and I didn't saw half of them either @@Sizzlik
😂
True 😂😂😂
Alexandra Andress is hald echt so
I love that I don't know more than half of them although I've lived in Germany my whole time 😂
Considering how unhealthy most of this stuff is, yes, definitely...
Omg same und katya 😍😍❤️❤️
Samee😂😂
Hä Ich lebe in Deutschland und kenne alle süßigkeiten die sie essen .
Most of those sweets aren‘t commom German sweets. Wasa is Swedish, Giotto is Italian, these pretzels are supposed to be american-style. It must have been her personal taste. There were several ones I didn‘t even know. I know Corny but not all those flavours. Kind of sad that many iconic sweets like Ritter Sport, Yogurette or Hanuta were missing
Toffifee ...
I think they've tried these on the channel though. This is not the first time they've been sent German candy.
@@raphaelakarlhofer3684 nananana! That isn't right little german hater.
The original 100g Milka chocolat (the basic, the first one) is produced from Lörrach in Germany. Some other milka products are also produced in Austria, France, etc.
Since Milka was buyed by Mondolez, you can call it an american product.
I love Ritter Sport 😘
@@raphaelakarlhofer3684 tend to steal? Wtf?
I think one of the reasons why there is no "oh German food" reaction is because it is way harder to categorize "German food". Every region has it's own specialities, plus, it naturally overlaps with what the neighbours do. Meaning the food in the North is mostly fish-based and heavily influenced by the Danish cuisine (which is very underrated, btw), the east has eastern European influences, the west has been influenced by France and Belgium and the South overlaps with Austrian cuisine. What a lot of people think about when they hear "German cuisine" is actually the Bavarian cuisine.
To be fair, though, Germans support this perception that Italian or French is the better cuisine, too, but saying that restaurants who have a German based menu serve "Gute Hausmannskost" (a good home-made like meal), while the Italian and French restaurants are treated like the place you go for something "special" and once you leave Europe, it's considered "exotic".
Thus said, we are VERY defensive when it comes to our bread and bakery. Every German who ever left the country becomes keenly aware how superior our bakeries are. And in a way, that is what Germany is famous for. Every Foody knows that Germany is the place to go to splurge on bakery products and sausages.
This is so true! I am german as well and when I went to the US for 3 weeks I missed our bread and bakerys in general so so much!
I had a traumatic experience...I went to an US supermarket and there was rainbow coloured toast. Who the hell would eat THAT?
Thanks for that precise comment. So true. Bakeries ....hm🤗
All I could find in the USA was white toast----and nothing like the Schwarzbrot, Graubrot and whole grain stuff I was used to. I was devastated. But what I couldn't get enough of in the States was Steak with various salads and baked potatoe with sour cream. Delicious! It was in the States where I came to appreciate salad, and my steak medium rare,---you get a juicy, tender steak with a slight crust, --wonderful!
Huh? In my expirience most people here go to German restaurants for celebrating special events and to an Italien restaurant for a quick lunch (btw: I am working at a German restaurant and I worked at an Italien restaurant before... At the Italien one we never had any big celebrations but at the German one several times a week) I also disagree with the statement that french and italian cuisine is better then german cuisine and no one i know thinks that way either... I personally find most of french foods disgusting especially if it is with snails or with frogs or with sea food. And italian food is good ones in a while but nothing compared to Sauerbraten mit Klößen und Rotkohl, Rindsrouladen or Hirschgulasch etc. And also this things are not only bavarian...like almost every region in Germany has their own Sauerbraten recipe (rheinischer Sauerbraten, schwäbischer Sauerbraten i think there is also a sächsischer Sauerbraten...) same goes for Kartoffelsalat...
If you would give a task to 100 German couples to choose either an Italien, a French or a German menu for their wedding i would bet my ass on at least 85 of the 100 couples going for a German menu ( given that non of them is a vegitarian)... Not many Germans would treat their "Braten" for Spagetti and Pizza etc. And even less would treat it for snails and frogs... ( I know there is more french food then snails and frogs and I also know that there is more Italien food then Pasta and Pizza, but that is what the average German thanks about then it comes to Italien or French cuisine)
Guys did you seen how he opened the Giotto? It literally broke my heart haha 😂
Really nice video. You two are lovely. I am German and only ate 4 of those sweets in my life, lol. Some of them I nerver heard of 🤣
I am in Germany
Bin deutsch
Im from Germany and "gut und günstig" means "good and cheap"
Yes
bretzel means pretzel. and a pretzel isnt about the ingredients. a pretzel was called that because of its shape. they were started in germany.
:D
They are sooo yummy
I love having klöße at Christmas with red cabbage and gravy! Then my favourite sweets are Lebkuchen and Kipfel. German food is some of the best food I’ve ever had and my grandmas German food tops everything for me!
True. Grandma makes the best food.
It - lebkuchen,, gingabred 🙃🤔?
@@leonymenge.fantasyfullgirl425 Yes it is
I am from germany 🙂
There are lots of different types of 'Stollen'...most of them are with raisins, but there is also stollen without them in.
It would be hard to name just one popular german dish, as it differs in each region. I live in the swabian region near Stuttgart. Popular swabian dishes are 'Spätzle' (best described as soft homemade pasta) with lentils and 'Wiener'-sausages (frankfurters are similar to them), or 'Maultaschen' (could be described as a large ravioli pasta, filled with a meat and spinach filling), or 'Zwiebelrostbraten' (a steak with a topping of slowly-fried onions and gravy).
The 'German Bratwurst' is a must on on every german bbq in the summer.
Most of the german sweets are not healthy at all. You just got the 'healthier' ones 🙂
UTZ means that the Coffee, Tea or in this case Cacao comes from "responsible" farms with human working condition. In the eyes of the organisation which does the certification.
Good German foods are Bratkartoffeln which are fried potatoes with bacon and onion, Schweinshaxe which is pork knuckle, Riebekuchen, kind of like hash browns but you have sauces with them, apple or garlic for example. And traditionally at Christmas it's goose with red cabbage and potato dumplings. That's some of the best things I've eaten, but the food is very good, more hearty than say French or Italian, lots of potatoes, cabbage and pork but all really tasty.
I am from Germany and I know most of this stuff but they're not necessarily the most famous sweets from Germany! Also if you love savoury you should try funny fresh crisps 😊
Erdnuss flippies too :-) Eating faces bothers me just a bit, haha!
Wo waren die Kinder Produkte
You must try hanuta and knoppers!😋These are very good candy’s😍
Pretty sure they've tried those. This is not the first time they've been sent German candy.

Traditional food in Franconia (Bavaria) is a roast with gravy, red cabbage and potato dumplings. But we have many, many different versions of roasts and gravy.
Hello from small town Michigan. I love watching your snack box videos and I often watch them with my 3 year old rescued Rottweiler mix named Dixie Belle.
Stollen without raisins are the best. I dislike raisins myself and whenever Christmas comes around, I get the marzipan stollen w/o them! :3 They're definitely not everywhere but can be bought in most big supermarkets.
You should put a translation app on your phone and then you can scan in the words and it will (hopefully) translate it for you. Emmy made in Japan uses one sometimes.
Great idea! Thank you. We have used the google translate photo thing before but will have to look into this!
I love watching these two so much! I hope they never get tired of doing these videos! ❤
Well hopefully you never get tired watching us do these videos! I’m so glad you enjoy watching ♥️
I'm new, are they brother and sister, friends, couple?
Hi Kate and Alex I love to see you guys trying different treats from different places ,everything looks so good! Loved your little dog he's so cute! I have six dogs most of them are mixed breeds got a Yorkie, Mini Pinscher, 2 terrier mixes, a chihuahua, and not sure what's Sparky is. they're all rescues and I love them all so much! Thanks again from California for the great videos!
I am German ❤️ I love Giotto sooooo much there probably one of my favorite sweets I always eat the hole tube in a few minutes ,the Germany you think is not like that everywhere where I live we aren't so much about Oktoberfest and we don't wear Oktoberfest dresses (dirndl) most people don't even have one
Dose anyone else get hungry while watching? 😂 But I LOVE watching there videos!!😍
I love you Kate and Alex. I love watching you try foreign treats. Earlier this week we had to put our family dog to sleep from old age. He was a Yorkshire Terrier and thirteen and half years old. It's been difficult without him, but I keep thinking of the wonderful memories we had of him. Your dog is beautiful by the way spend as much time as you can with your dogs. You never know when you can loose them.
I have an English Black Labrador, Harlequin Ravenous Beauty Thumbelina, Raven for short! She’s my service dog. I’ve been in bed almost a year now and finding your videos has been one of the things that’ve made the long months and days more bearable. Thank you! I’ve even had a few of your British Candy Boxes over the holidays. I wish there was a way for you to have a box of goodies that you’ll be trying in the future be available for us to get so that we could try them along with you! I love the relationship you both have. It’s very endearing. Keep up the good work and God bless!
That looked like a great box !!
Yes I have a dog, a terrior mix named diamond. she is my sweetie!
Love your videos they make me smile while doing dialysis
So happy to hear we can make you smile. I hope your dialysis is going okay. 💕💕💕
I watched them while doing my PD dailysis at home. I just got my transplant 3 weeks ago.
Hope all goes well for you!
I always learn something new! Thank you!
Yaay glad you enjoy 😀
I love your side eye when Alex asked if the white chocolate bar was too sweet!! 20:10 That was amazing😂😂 I would of had the same reaction
I get excited when I see your notification 💜
They probably use a lot of English on their products because of all the Americans stationed over there in the military
Yaay I hope you enjoyed watching 😀💕
Hey Kate and Alex, I'm from Germany and I'm so happy to see you trying a German Candy Box. Actually Kate there are Stollen without raisins.😍😉
Hey Kate and Alex! All these sweets look so delicious! I must look for them if possible. I love white chocolate Reese’s and all those breakfast bars looked amazing! Some look soft like granola bars can be sometimes. From what I’ve tasted Germany makes amazing cookies/biscuits and chocolates. One of my fave are the speculatus with almonds that I get from Aldi’s. Thanks for another taste testing video. Can’t wait for the next one!
I am from Germany and I love how you try to pronounce whats on the packages😂 glad you liked most of the stuff, however no typical german candy/snacks, would love to put together another collection with the best candy!!
I clicked on this video SOOOO quick! I am going to Germany in a week and I will be studying there for four months so I needed some snack recommendations.
Ah no way!! Perfect timing 😀😀 you’ll definitely need to try some of these ☺️
@@ThisWithThem Thank you for replying! I most definitely will be trying some of the biscuits you first tried!
Have a great time 😊 going abroad is a big step but I'm sure it's gonna be an amazing adventure.
Emilee Strohl Hey 🤗 Where will you study? I‘m also from Germany and could possibly help you a little bit 🤗

I've been watching you two for awhile now, and I went back and watched all the videos I had missed. I think I am thoroughly addicted. I love that you two are siblings and get along so well. And I don't know how you both keep your figures lol, I watch and gain weight ; ) . Keep up the good work, your so fun, and we get to experience so many different goodies through you two.
Guys, I really love your British accent so much! Cool thing you liked most of the German snacks and candies!
Kate and Alex! I love you guys and your videos literally light up my days. ❤️☺️

Also Asda and Tesco’s do stollen without raisins for Christmas! They usually have a few versions (: ❤️❤️
This was fun ! I’ve been to Germany many times. It was nice to see some things from there I really liked. As always- a great job and fun to see you both 😊💕👏
No way that’s awesome. I’ve never been before! Yeah bet that was nice to see them again. Thank you Lynda 💕☺️
I'm from germany☺️
It's so sweet how you say Guten Tag 😍😂😂
Trying international snacks is a lot of fun! Haven’t tried any from Germany yet though!🤠
Yeah it really is! You’ll have to try some 😀
Y'all trying to pronounce the German had me and my partner rolling with laughter! He's German and I've been studying German for a while now. I liked getting to see the variety of cereal bars. We're moving to Germany later this year, something to look forward to!
Because of you guys I got super inspired to go out and buy a box of international snacks!!! Next to try your box of snacks! ❤️
Ah nice! Hope you enjoy trying everything
The traditions and thus also the food in Germany vary from region to region and are often influenced by the neighbouring countries. For example, Flammkuchen, which is more reminiscent of a French pizza, in the Palatinate bordering Alsace. In Swabia you will find Maultaschen; in Bavaria various Knödel; in the north Eisbein and Currywurst. And so on and so forth. Apart from the traditional dishes we have Italian, Turkish, French, Greek, American influences as well as from Eastern Europe. And although most probably think of a lot of meat in German cuisine, there is also a substantial vegan scene here. Greetings!😘
ps. If you want to know more about the different regions, Geography Now has some videos:
czcams.com/video/gdsa1gBOTDk/video.html
czcams.com/video/wuClZjOdT30/video.html
pps. No, I don't have a dog.😄
You do know that the Alsace used to be German till WWII, right? They are ethnical Germans not French... And even though it belongs to France now i can not think of Flammkuchen as a French dish while knowing that the region it is from is etnical german.
This is very interesting I think, I am from Germany and I've never seen some of these sweets 😂
I‘m german and i loooove traditional german food. I always link german food with the christmas season because me and my family we‘d always go to our local restaurants around november or December. And i looove the food my Oma used to make - stews with vegetables from her own garden, hühnerfrikassee which i can‘t really explain, stampfkartoffeln which is like a certain sort of mashed potatoes with massive chunks of bacon in it and especially überbackenes Schnitzel, schnitzel in a creamy sauce baked with cheese on top. And don‘t even get me started on the desserts- apfelstrudel, zwetschgenkuchen (plumcake), nussecken (nutcorners) or nougatringe 😻
German food is absolutely GRAND !!! The flavours are so alive, and the best thing of all is that they are are healthy. What a wonderful combination. Miss it ever so much. From the breads to the treats. And the the warmth of the people. Thank you for your delightful channel, and also, allowing me to speak of Germany, a very special place in my heart. Hugs. S.
Great video as always love watching you and Alex your wee dog is so cute I have a British bulldog (in pic) called Boston x
Thank you Laura! Aww what a great picture. Your dog is so cute!! 🥰 x
I am an American but I have been living in Germany for 18 years now
Where are you, Odis? We live near Stuttgart and work some with the New English American Theater (NEAT) here. How have you felt in Germany for the long term? I have been here 5 years now, and it is taking me longer than I thought it would to fit in.
Loving Bob x😘you two are so refreshing to watch your just honest and sweet x

You can make your own pretzels chocolate, place pretzels on a sheet pan, place rolos on top, put in the oven for a couple mins just to slightly melt the chocolate then place a pecan half ito the chocolate and let cool.
Hello Kate and Alex. First , I want to say is thank you for making all the videos. Y'all are AMAZING!!! And second, Alex you are not mean. I think you are very sweet. Keep making videos please. I have watched all of your videos. When I'm tired from work, i come and watch y'all on here and you always put a smile on my face!!!

Your dog is so chill! Mine would be all crazy-eyes if I tried that and squirmy if I picked him up. Walter is a Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier mix.
The Milka Joy Rolls look very similar to a cereal we have here in America call kraves
Yes! So similar to it!
@@ThisWithThem Also I completely understand when you say you need milk with it. There is a small size bag that you can ge of them that is about the size of a trail mix bag that you would get at a gas station and, I can only eat half of that size bag with no milk because my mouth gets very dry. So I think that might be your issue so, maybe try them with milk for a video and see if you like the Joy Rolls better.

Guten Tag I'm from Germany, but I haven't seen most of the sweets ever...
I'm from Germany and some of these I have never seen or they aren't the typical one
Traditional dishes for Christmas in germany are Raclette, fondue, turkey with potatoes and vegetables or pork roast with bread dumplings and gravy... Also germans love snacks like „parika chips“, „Toffifee“, „kinder Schokolade“ and „Knoppers“
I'm thinking of buying one of your british candy Christmas boxes next Christmas because my mom and my grandpa eat alot of that stuff
Great test tasting as always👍🤗keep up the great work and content. I have a dog,he's a puggle which is a pug mixed with beagle!!! I'm a dog lover🤗🐶🤗😍♥️

They say sweets not candy.... uhm we speak german in germany
Sabine Ihde to us germans these words mean the same thing because we only use the word „süssigkeiten“ and dont really have another word for that. they definitely are synonyms in some way too but they mean different things in english.
I am german thank you :) i just meant that we say neather sweets nor candy as we do not speak english and those are just translations in to different english dialects

Wasa sandwich is a swedish product though 😜

there is stollen without raisins in it for those who do not like raisins or are allergic to it. with raisins is however the traditional way they are made. the best places to get some nice stollen are dresden and/or nürnberg :)

A lot of those are not so common German, like I am from germany and i didnt see some of those😂
Most of them like "Gut&Günstig" you just got in Edika, or in stores like Edika.

I am not German... I'm Corolla!
I'm an American living in Germany right now. I was so excited to watch your video because I want to send some more nice snacks that you haven't tasted. First of all do you like black licorice? There is A LOT of black licorice here and if that's something you like, I want to send some. The restaurant scene in Germany isn't too exciting (coming from an American). A typical Christmas meal is Rouladen which is a flat steak with bacon and a pickle rolled up in the middle, boiled potatoes, and pickled red cabbage. Lots of fancy meals are some sort of meat with some kind of potato and vegetables. I also ate veal one Christmas. Very delicious food! Let me know about the black licorice. I'll be sure to send some chips as well.
We have two wirehaired dachshunds.. 🐶🐶 the best ones.. love from Switzerland. Loved to watch the Swiss Edition. I think you where more exited of the swiss box. It was a good choice Leandra made. So swiss ☺️🥰
Hey Kate and Alex, yes they make „Stollen“ without raisins. It is not the original recipe but many people don’t like raisins in „Stollen“. Very delicoius too💕 hope you two enjoyed the insight into german candy 😊
That’s awesome and I need to try it 😍😍 thank you for letting me know. We really enjoyed trying everything 😋
I used to not like raisins, but then I figured out that no matter how I feel about them in general, they provide the balance for the stollen. It's just not the same without them.
Wasa ‘sandwiches’ should be available in Canada, too!! I eat these two separately, all of the time! Alex is correct; very handy and much healthier on-the-go treat.
Enjoyed watching this. I am not from Germany but my Mom and I went through there on our way to India. My family loves German food.
Glad you enjoyed it 😀 ah no way that’s awesome ☺️
