  • Sam Giancana, born Salvatore Giancana on June 15, 1908, in Chicago, Illinois, was a notorious American mobster and the boss of the Chicago Outfit from 1957 to 1966. He rose to prominence within the criminal underworld during the Prohibition era, engaging in bootlegging and illegal gambling. Giancana's ruthless approach and ability to manipulate political and law enforcement connections allowed him to climb the ranks swiftly.
By the 1950s, Giancana had become one of the most powerful mob bosses in America, with significant influence over Chicago's illegal gambling, extortion, and loan sharking operations. He was also known for his alleged connections to the CIA, especially concerning plots to assassinate Cuban leader Fidel Castro.
Giancana's fall began in the early 1960s when his high-profile lifestyle and frequent media appearances drew unwanted public and government scrutiny to organized crime activities. In 1965, he was imprisoned for refusing to testify before a grand jury investigating organized crime. His influence waned, and he lived in exile in Mexico for several years before being deported back to the United States in 1974.
Sam Giancana's life came to a violent end on June 19, 1975, when he was murdered in his own home in Oak Park, Illinois. His assassination, believed to be mob-related, marked a significant moment in the decline of organized crime's traditional structures in the U.S. Giancana's controversial life has been the subject of numerous books and documentaries, illustrating the complex interplay between organized crime and American politics during the mid-20th century.

Robert Kennedy had his Brother, John's, blood on his hands . His father, Joe, was a boot legger in the 1920s' and the mob helped JFK win the election in 1960 because Joe made a deal with the mob. Robert Kennedy could not take it and he is the reason that JFK was killed. If his father Joe didn't have a stroke he would have had Robert pull his head in. Robert Kennedy was an idiot, and, was also killed. R.I.P to both. The bloke in jail for Robert Kennedy's death did shoot him and, there was another shooter who hasn't been named. Cheers. John
