I'm glad that they had a segment about The Newark Black Film Festival. I've had the pleasure of attending it in the past and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I'm glad that Richard Wesley was interviewed about the Festival, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary. On the note of Mr. Wesley, many years ago, the late James Brown, the senior librarian who was integral in maintaining the African American studies section of The Newark Public Library, was kind enough to help me to get a fan letter to Robert Townsend, when "Hollywood Shuffle" first came out. Mr. Brown was acquainted with Mr. Wesley, and gave him my letter, which he passed onto Mr. Townsend, who in turn, kindly responded to me with an autographed picture and a "Hollywood Shuffle" T-shirt. Thank you, Mr. Wesley, and a "Happy Birthday" to you as well!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽
