I recommend, focusing mainly on your courses that deal with the bar exam. Like Torts, contracts, property, con law, civ pro etc..

Thank you for the advice, I’ll try to take electives that align with the bar exam! Very smart

@@thelegaldiaries I don't know what you mean by "trying to take electives that align with the bar exam". The main core courses that are bar related are: 1. Torts, 2. Contracts, 3. Civ Pro, 4. Real Property, 5. Con Law, 6. Evidence, 7. Crim pro, 8. Crim law, 9. Business Asso/ Org, Professional Responsibility,10, Fam Law, 11. Wills & Trust, & something called " Secure Transactions" (in your FL jurisdiction).

@gemalopez6885 yeah that’s true about some of the main courses but I’ve heard from 2LS and 3LS that my school doesn’t require us to take all bar-related courses, so we would then have to take them as electives & that if we don’t then we have to cover it on our own

@@thelegaldiaries oh, I see. Well, it be in your best interest to take all bar related courses (even if in your school are viewed as electives).

Good luck on your law school journey! I am currently a third-year in my undergrad and planning to go to law school so these vlogs are beyond helpful to visualize what a day in law school looks like!

I really appreciate coming across your vlog, as I will begin prepping for the LSATs at some point in the near future; however, my only issue is that I have a full course load this year (my last year), and I’m not sure if it would be wise to include LSAT prep.
I understand that you may not intend on offering advice to others in my particular situation, but if you have any advice I would really appreciate it! It is also important to note that I am not well versed in LSAT style questions! I am a straight A student, and I assumed that I would only need to prep for a week or so lol

. Yeah
.. You read that right đŸ€ŠđŸœâ€â™‚ïž I did a couple of free LSAT quizzes online and I absolutely bombed them lol. Naturally, this set off an alarm and I am going to need to attack the LSATs with the same urgency and drive that I utilize for all other areas of study.
With that said, due to my horrible experiences with LSAT quizzes, I’m dealing with quite a bit of anxiety. As I mentioned, I really struggle with LSAT style questions and I am worried that this is something that I’m supposed to just “get”
I feel it is something that you either “get or you don’t”.. I’m sure that this is most likely my anxiety usurping my prefrontal cortex 😂, but I’m hoping that maybe you felt the same way., too. maybe? Or maybe you know of others who were in my particular situation?
This all leads the my main question: Are the LSATs something that we can become good at?
I’ve done some reading and it seems as though there are many techniques and tools to learn to be better prepared and equipped to write the LSATs.. So, I am sure that time and practice will be a great aid, and I guess I am just seeking some reassurance from somebody who likely wrote the LSATs not that long ago.
I apologize for the rather large comment. I do not mean to take up much of your time, as I know that you are extremely busy. If you have the time to offer as much advice as you can, it make make a great difference.
Please have a great weekend, and I hope to see more of your videos and success! đŸ€—

What you learn in law school applies ONLY in a law office. When you get into court, those rules simply dont exist.
Civil court judges use the overriding objective to do what they want rather than adhere to the CPR and if you challenge it, you get a costs order against you.
So.....law school has a purpose.....but a Judge has total discretion and you are at their mercy, even if you have a solid case.
The rules dont matter with a poor judge.
(I know you are not in England but im pretending that you are so that my comment makes sense)
