Without the church there is no need for a tribulation. The church will be the object of the tribulation.
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, (the remnant church) and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, *which keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ*

"Christ in us the hope of glory..." The "Child" is the church "caught up" just as Paul explained. The church is given four promises: Romans 5.9, I Thess. 1.10, 5.9, and Revelation 3.10 The rapture-war: Revelation 12. As Lot was delivered then immediately judgements came, so shall the end of the church age be. The church is not directly mentioned after Revelation 3 because Revelation 4.1 is the "feast of trumpets" which is the "catching up" of the bride of Christ.
Revelation 4.1-19 is all related to Daniel 9.24-7 as God completes His promises to Israel.
The "believers" of Daniel 9.24-7 and Revelation 4.1 to 19 are called tribulation saints. Two bodies of witnesses from the final 7 years of Daniel's prophecy.
Romans 5.9...John 14.1-3, Luke 21.28.
Titus 2.11-13, our hope does indeed save us from "the wrath that comes". Ezekiel 38-9 is the Old Testament overview of John's vision. It begins with the great Ezekiel War as Gog, Iran, and the SHIA nations are judged along with many other nations at the very beginning of Daniel's 70th week.
The Rapture-War: the bride goes home and God the LORD begins judging.

The dividing of time (an half Dan 12:7) =180.
= 1,260 prophetic days = 1,260 years.
forty and two months = 1,260 days or a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
--From 538 - 1798 A.D. ("the time of the end") when this beast (that was, that is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven) received a deadly wound, but the deadly wound was healed in 1929 when this false church's secular sword was restored unto her, although her spiritual sword she never lost, for she boast that she is the mother church.
