The depth of Bachs cantatas can eleviate the deepest of depression, believe me. Ive listened to bach all my life 74 yrs and still play the keyboard music , it will never let you down.
Guro Hjemli's soprano has such a lovely, almost childlike clarity. I had to hold back tears during her recitative part. Philippe Rayot's (bass) and Jan Börner's (counter-tenor) performances in the trio aria also are worthy of note. The Bachstiftung choir consists of highly skilled Baroque soloists. I love that these young and spirited performances bring new life to Bach's cantatas, his life's work.
@@dagmarvandoren9364 How nice for you those lovely memories. During the war in occupied Netherlands my mother almost died of starvation, there were summary executions on the streets, all her Jewish school friends were deported to death camps, her uncle was made a slave laborer in Rees camp, my great-grandmother's home was confiscated by the German army. During the Hunger Winter all things made of wood were used for heat, including pianos. There was no music, only hunger and insecurity of life. But please, cherish your lovely memories of Germany during the War. Be my guest!
Hugely impressive cantata, and a very fine performance. I kept thinking of the great 6 part setting in Clavierubung III, but Bach does interesting new things here.
Thank you for releasing this, even after 14 years. We can particularly appreciate the crystal clear voice of the soprano and, as usual, the talent of all the interpreters. The cantata itself shines with its originality, i m h o ... I'm amazed every time you appear on a video !

Ausgezeichnet, wie immer!
From 2008, a perfect performance. Never has this terzetto sounded better! Bravo & thanks!
This is a peak musical experience.
Mon cher Rudolf Lutz, vous avez dirigé ce merveilleux terzett de main de maître. Jamais je ne l'avais écouté avec autant d'expression. Merci à vous.
musica che spacca il cuore non di amore ma di tormento
Very nice tenor voice.
Wunderbar posaune!
Absolut!

Four trombones! Bach wrote a number of choral pieces involving that instrument, though they are not included in his big pieces.
Rigtig dejlig let flydende musik og skøn kor-sang…….

I hate to criticise this excelllent performance, but the audio doesn't seem to be very clear. Does anyone else agree with me?

Oh I can’t agree, this was the clearest version i found until now. I like it very much. But I have the Cd and it’s better on my big stereo!
Im very interesting in purchasing bwv 35,36,91. How will I know what's on each cd, yes the clarity is perfect for me.
