Bass cover and transcription of Crumbling Castle from Polygondwanaland
Tabs transcribed by me using Guitar Pro and Go PlayAlong.
Playing tips: by far the hardest part of the song is the intro section, if you notice I'm keeping the rhythm with my right hand so I don't lose track of downbeats and upbeats, that's what helped me the most. If you have any other methods, please let me know in the comments!
The solo part is also tricky, mostly because it's in 7/4. I tried my best to internalise the notes by playing them over and over, and also I'm counting the long notes at the end of the section 3+4.

It's funny, as someone who can only just play the bass, and who has only learnt one song so far, ('Everything stays' from Adventure Time) I am more inclined to learn this, since Gizzard is actually music I listen to, so even if this song is way above my level of playing, I think it might be the next thing I want to learn... That's great man! Hope it helps. This one might be a tough one if you're just starting with all the time signatures changes, but I've got a bunch of easier ones like Bone or Lord of Lightning. Keep me posted on your journey with the bass!

I guess you’re referring to my right hand, if so yes! Indeed, that’s so I can keep the time. I don’t usually do that but when playing in odd times such as this song I find it really helpful.
