One of the very best depictions of Death on film , ever ! A philosophical rumination worthy of Horatio ! The actors - splendid performances ! Voiceover of Death - like a shaman beating his drum ! Lighting - the very background of suspense ! Direction - steady as she goes, Cap'n ! I've seen this film twice, and I'm sure I'll see it many more times. It's also a morality tale , and Jon , I will definitely try to be a good boy and stay on the nice side of 'he who scrapes metal' ! All the best !

This drama was so creepy and captivating that I had to view it again, noticing things which I overlooked the first time round. There is much left to the imagination, but it is made clear that something very dark has been manifesting in this man's life.

Mate this is sick! I've seen a lot of low budget short films that just look cheap but this is class , wouldn't have believed you if you told me it was only made for a couple of grand , the colour grading, lighting, sound design are all A++

Finally something that looks as realistic and less fantasyish. I like how they made the Spirit of Death look. Like a very simplistic and dark.....nothing super crazy. It was really good.
Worthy of the awards! I hope one of them was for sound design, it was superb. I subscribed and rang the bell. I admire Koontz for his ability to bring hope and redemptive themes into even the most horrific stories. Now I'll have to admire Smith the same way! Was an unexpected surprise. Well done!

"An order" can be given by anyone to anyone, but the word "command", implies a pre-defined hierarchy in the manner that can only be given by a 'superior' to a lower-ranking person.
The pub landlord had met the man at the bar twice before, and he had repeatedly warned the bartender, whose visit by Father Time could have been a vendetta, fate or destiny.
Biblical proverb and many other ancient sources proclaim: "You reap what you sow."
Literally, the crops you harvest are the seeds you plant, a botanical fact.
Metaphorically:
1. Karma, as defined in various ways by philosophy and theology.
2. What goes around comes around, in one type of moral system.
3. Cause and effect, in the Logic of Causal Order.
4. Action and consequences, including unintended and unexpected results.
5. Action and reaction. Newton's Second Law of Motion.
I don't get the film. It was great.. but I don't understand.
Well enacted and shot. But I think I'm missing something about the plot. The idea that you experience life as different people has been part of other stories before, but the protagonist doesn't go through that here. So the story comes across as: A man lingers after closing time, then leaves. Bartender drinks in the basement, then looks for something in the dark. A hood breaks in and gets shot. The story's title is, well, a mystery.

Extremely lame. Don’t get talked into saying this is good because it’s blah blah blah and I’m hip for saying I like it. Story is thin, not enough info to be frightened, scared or interested. A high school kid could’ve written the story and dialogue. Go watch something that won’t make you regret having lost 21 minutes.

I was super tired when I half watched this. Once it ended I realized that I have no idea what happened or what this was even about. The ending made no sense to me. Can someone please explain to me? Who was the grim reaper there for? What was with the diamonds? Does this guy kill people in the back and the grim reaper takes them away?
