1953-S Full Steps - $24,000 A particularly rare example to find with full steps, the 1953 issue of the Jefferson nickel from the San Francisco Mint can be very valuable. There are only 24 known examples with full steps, and one sold in 2019 for $24,000.Nov 11, 2022
Full steps and perfect pop top specimen. Highest graded by pcgs and auctioned properly by Heritage during a strong market, to the world's formost collectors. You'll never find anything that's even a 1/4 as nice in your pocket change or piggy bank. There's a reason coins like this are called rare😁
It would have to be an ms68 or higher... Mint state...kind of like a proof coin. I've been collecting since the 70's.... I've never seen one. I think these videos hype people up or something
You need to clarify when throwing these values out why they went for so much. You are talking about auction prices for the highest graded examples with the Full Steps designation. All the coins you show are miles away from this. Misleading video. These videos are why coin forums and reddit are flooded with pictures of pocket change with the posters arguing they are worth thousands!
There are few coins anyone is ever going to give you real money for the trick is to find that person otherwise it's worth whatever anybody willing to put in your hands
But it's because they were above MS65 grade and they had full steps. It's the FULL STEPS that's critical. 4 complete steps increases the value 10x, 5 steps 20x and complete steps the prices these coins yielded. I wish you would have brought up how critical the steps are in valuing a Jefferson Nickel. It's even evident when looking at the Red Books and PCGS valuations. Hmmm.....did you not bring it up because this one doesn't have any stairs visible?
Those quarters are so worn out they’re not worth nothing you have to be able to see the stairs going into that monument in full detail for them to be worth anything
Should probably mention for non collectors, that’s pristine uncirculated most likely. No one is paying anywhere near that for rough coins. Might get like $2 before fees and shipping.
I have a 5C 1953 no mint, 1961 D mint, 1964 no mint with curled edges no scratches but curled, and 1968 no mint anybody think I hit the lotto or forgetaboutit??? 😎
The coins going for $9,000-24,000 the coin is just what’s being shown what’s actually being auctioned is something much darker I’m sure there is nothing special about a 1953 unless they are on a wrong planchet or have some major error
I have this d nickel but it's worth a lot because it is a DDO ,,,and the strike is perfect on both sides ,,I mean perfect,,,,,DDR. Due to a double MONTICELLO', but this is the restrick of the 1938....
If the big money is in the full steps, then why doesn't this guy show one with full steps instead of showing one that should be center drilled and used for a common washer - right now a common washer this size costs more than 5 cents - think about it !
I have a really great condition 1953 s nickel I swear to the good lord above what do I do I'll 70/30 split up to 60/40 if someone can help us get this sold I want to bring my son home for my birthday
Yo....WHO MAAANNNS IS THIIIS!?!? You should also mention for the many ppl thinking the have a winning lottery ticket.... IT'S ALL ABOUT CONDITION!!!! thats a worth of a pcgs graded basically PERFECT condition coin. Ppl. learn something from me...this is %90 cap
It's obvious that you ain't cut out for the "coin business " maybe you should find another profession ain't nobody gonna give you $24,000 for a 53"nickel not even if it's in high mint 67 graded! Really the most you would probably get for one would be 3 to 5 thousand in the highest grade 😂
Well lets see, if theres 19 million and theres 20 million collectors and some of those 19 million coins something happen to sum that will never be found and half u collectors ant even got a 1953 s or any maybe..I been collecting old coins and even circulated coins mostly and just to have a decent 1 in good condition w/o fs. (Fs=full steps for those who dont know) how about u guys stop trying to say how much they worth and start buying some..doing my videos on coins soon like my page so u haters can hate there..lol I'll read my comments 🎉🎉😂😂
It's funny because I have these nickels 1943 44 45 46 47 with a d on it a p. on it an s on it or just a blanknobody is buying them so this is balderdash
yes, but the reason why it sold for that type of money, is because it was graded MS 68+
Yep, something along those lines
Has to have full steps & higher grade.
So how do I know what the greatest of nickel
Okay can you help me with the rate of my
@@jimgordon-gs6qn yes,

BS. They are worth maybe $2.50.
Those are worth close to ten cents
😂😂😂😂
I bet last week he was a stamp Collector! LOL
Yuh, I paid $4.00 for my unc 1953S Jefferson nickel. $24,000? I don't think so...🤔
$24,000 probably for a perfect condition graded coin
The grade makes them valuable, not just the S
@@Brettfast_prod A 1953s nickel in MS65 is only worth $28
The one mentioned was a ms 65fs. This information spread in these videos is so misleading
He should say that it should be in MS condition. Collectors will not pay $24k if there are 60 millions out there.
How do I know if it's MS nickel
Don't they have to have FS aswell?
(Full Steps)
That's what I'm thinking

What makes the nickels worth so much? 🙂Just asking. 👍

How do I know if it’s really worth that much ?
Is it just a matter of auctioning and seeing what people offer ?
I have one just like that
But it's because they were above MS65 grade and they had full steps. It's the FULL STEPS that's critical. 4 complete steps increases the value 10x, 5 steps 20x and complete steps the prices these coins yielded.

The Reason This Nickle Is Valuable ? 😅 . Unless it's Silver I would think you just have a nickel at face value .
Yeah there is nothing special about any if these and none of them or worth that crazy amount. Maybe 5c 😂 maybe
Perhaps if it was in mint state with 5 full steps
@ItaBspicy mint state can worth thousands, cuz there is just couple of coins on the highest grade known
