As someone who mains them, Toxic Pea can be good for assists and probably one best peas for defending objectives and for new players. And Alien Flower is really good in the right hands and best for capturing. Of course all of this varies a lot on how experienced the player is and how well they know the maps.

that one ice pea main who knows how to line up his shots and freezes you within mere seconds

the most absolute mid character in this game by FAR is commando pea and we all know it
I actually like ice pea a lot, I win a lot of situations with him that I wouldn't with toxic or fire pea but there are better peashooters
