Finally, durian season has started in Penang.
One of the reasons I am living in Malaysia is durian :)

If you cant finish durian you buy in one go, you can ask the seller to pack the durian leftover to bring home. You can freeze the durian and eat those frozen cold durian like ice cream.

I think i shall buy durian in july or august. Not now. Start and end of season is expensive.

Agreed! KL is cheaper.
That does not look like a good place for durian. There are so many varieties of durian in Malaysia, each with its own unique taste. A good durian stall should have many varieties for you to choose from, and the seller should tell you what each variety tastes like. Some are sweet, some are bittersweet, some are dry. If the durian is not good, which happens, they should open up another durian for you, not take from pre-opened durian, which may not be fresh anymore. I would avoid this stall in future. In Penang, there are so many spots for durian.
Hi Andrew! Thank you for yr comment. Yes! I totally agreed what you wrote abt the durian stall. The pre opened one wasnt that good🥲 And you are right! There are so many nice places to enjoy durian in Penang. Especially in Balik Pulau :)

Oh all durians have individual name, famous like Musang king, black thorn, red prawn, khoon poh, hor lor, Capri, cheh poi, taste better.
That day we ate Khoon Poh, personally I like red prawn☺️
Is Balik Pulau durian cheaper? I read this year it's going to be great durian season so price will go down
Balik pulau durian is more expensive based on our experience but quality is very good👍👍

Tried few times like that cuz Malaysian friends strongly recommend! But it was not our taste😂
