Im convinced that kitana is lowkey very high tier. All of her ex projectiles are launchers. She has what im convinced is the best zoning in the game. She has an armoured launcher with certain kameos. Her b2 string is actually dumb and her pressure is very annoying. Not to mention her damage is kinda cracked. She has one of the best sweeps in the game. All in all, shes quite good.
As someone who just picked her up the only thing she don’t have is frames
the pressure is a bit fake (as a kitana main) but people get fake pressured a lot

@CalebMcluvin519 ya, her b24 has a gap in it, but the second part of the string does 70 damage if you armour through it or she can stagger pressure by doing b2 back dash b2
Kitana with Khamelion is pretty good, armored launcher with Mileena, bomb combo with Jade, and straight fan combos start with Kitanna assist
Might have to tap into that kameo too

rewind playing kitana and splash playing anyone other than lao 2 things i thought id never see
I initially though Kitana was one of the bottom tiers, but just recently, people are picking her up and doing magic. Her damage is insane, probably only second to Ashrah. Her metered attacks are great for connecting strings. Her projectiles and sweeps are great zoning tools. Overall, she's one of the best characters ingame, especially with the way she synergizes with almost every kameo in game, except Shujinko (but who knows right?).

Tremor does nothing for her too sadly. But I agree with everyone else.
@@blackmarvel8132 tremor gives her throw combos , decent damage and can improve her zoning. To say he gives her nothing is pretty unfair

@@blackmarvel8132 is tremor the best for her? Absolutely not. But its one of the most fun thats for sure. You can even get very good damage with strings into fan toss with tremor ambush launcher. I recommend messing around with this duo!

The reason kitana not popular is because whenever you see her its a mf using Lao kameo zoning tf out people instead of her combos.
It's not like you can blame them. The highest placed Kitana in tournament used Lao and zoned his way up to top 8.

After air 112 you can call Sjax and continue your pressure with setups. Also F12 is a great tool. All of her strings can be useful

That’s a skill issue. Kung Lao is insanely good. Kitana armored launcher is unsafe when blocked but Laos is actually plus when blocked. She does have good buttons in neutral vs him though that’s for sure.
@@RewindNV Yeah that’s true but I feel like having good neutral tools that aren’t so reliant on meter and a slow kameo recharge like goro is more valuable. Good players will bait out the armor till Lao is drained on meter and Lao without meter is very easy to deal with
@@ernestorodriguez7211 not as easy to bait out the armor as you think. You block it and he still has his turn and if you try to jump and read it and he doesn’t do, then he anti airs you full combo. His gameplan is pretty annoying to get around despite it looking simple on paper.

yo rewind I like how you play Reiko and would like to level up my own Reiko (so i watch your pro level games). There are sometimes where the enemy has no break and isnt close to break and you have bar with Kameo but you go for B2, why is that?
He’s going for a safe jump because b2 is so plus, a safe jump is where you can basically do a jump attack and the opponent has to take it, they can’t escape it in anyway, worst case scenario is they block it and have to take a mixup, whether that be a command grab or throw, best case scenario it catches them pressing buttons and he gets another combo for a good amount of damage

One thing you can do after block strings is ex overhead fan and catch a couple people trying to take their turn and get caught by the overhead fan 😅😅 they be so tilted!!

She has a true unblockable set up with Jax that is truly broken. There is no way out and can be looped. I’m surprised nobody knows this

@@tris_redfield obviously kitana players that know what there doing but why is not being talked about or utilized in tournaments. It is a very easy set up after 40 to 50%+ being an unblockable.
@@hectormontenegro6794 Along with retrhoe doing it in tourneys, they even mentioned it's a bit hard to do due to how specific the timing is. You have to perfectly time your grab. Best option is to delay wake up and block the trap. I've done it a few times, but really.. all characters do about that much damage in the corner.
She's not weak by any means, she's definitely A-tier like a lot of pro players say.. but definitely not OP.
