As a coach, I teach my kids to ALWAYS attack the ball at the highest point. You NEVER tell them to bring the ball to triple threat. That allows for easy stripping and tie up for jump ball.
the reboudning off the backboard one isn't very good because it's teaching to bring the basketball down to the body where it's easier to steal.... instead have them kept it above their head and put it back in the basket quickly.
That's not right coach! The ball should not be lower than your chest off a rebound. Grab a rebound and put the ball on your pocket? Begging a Lil guy to steal it under their goal.

why would they tuck the basketball at the side of their body after the rebound(2nd drill) that seems like a TO waiting to happen
They do this to protect the ball
@@princess6586 interesting. To me it seems they cannot secure the ball as tightly in that position as I would like, but I do get the point
You can also protect the ball holding it by your chin and sticking out your elbow and pivoting
