  • Watching Parliament made easy! My Africa Brings you all the scenes you really want to watch!
    Newsworthy, interesting and the funny parts MINUS the boring rest of a long Parliament sitting.
    Parliament of South Africa - “To represent the people, and to ensure government by the people in fulfilling our constitutional functions of passing laws and overseeing executive action”. Watch EFF Floyd Shivambu giving Parliament a lesson on the National Treasury - Debate in Parliament on Vote 7: National Treasury *****
    The Constitution affords all South Africans the right to see and hear what happens in Parliament.
    For the last 7 years and for the benefit of subscribers and the community “My Africa” search for sequences that are newsworthy, interesting, funny etc. From a, sometimes long and boring, Parliament sitting allowing the community the opportunity to choose which sequence they find interesting and want to watch.
    As a result “My Africa” adds significant value to those effected by the exceptionally high cost of Data and Pay TV.
    Also “My Africa” allows the community to comment and contribute to discussions in a meaningful manner and take stories forward.
    However, we will NOT condone the following:
    - Racism (including offensive comments based on ethnicity and nationality)
    - Sexism
    - Homophobia
    - Religious intolerance
    - Cyber bullying
    - Hate speech
    - Derogatory language
    - Comments inciting violence.

    Floyd is correct yet lack implementation strategy on his statement.
    Secondly, I would like to know, what is stopping us as Blacks to create our own banks and manage them then get into the market and challenge big banks?
    Those people established their own banks. We can only argue with them when they block us to create our own or when they make competition to be unfair

      @jacquesdewet2661 Před 7 lety +2

      Floyd is a very smart guy. Make no mistake.
      I don't think the answer is in owning your own bank but rather South Africa actually owning our own currency.

    • @Mimi-nr6jx
      @Mimi-nr6jx Před 7 lety

      Black South Africans do not own enough capital at this point to go beyond that >5% threshold. That is why EFF speaks about creating a state bank that will provide credit and finance to black businesses. It will also greatly compete with white owned banks and open up the sector for other South Africans.

    • @aijamanpirlo2736
      @aijamanpirlo2736 Před 7 lety

      Then lets learn to raise enough capital. Japanese build japan with nothing but their hands. They had no capital and look at Japan.
      Learn history about South Korea and Japan. You will realise that we Africans we do a lot of talking and at most times we simply do not want to work.
      Japan is the good example....

    • @Mimi-nr6jx
      @Mimi-nr6jx Před 7 lety

      Aijaman Pirlo exactly...they took control of their country's resources to work FOR THEM. Not simply leaving it to the hands of a few foreign & local elites. And btw, Japan also was supported by the West for being their imperial partner in Asia.

    The US might have a problem with what the eff want. The "white ownership" of capital secure a steady flow of resources travelling towards the western markets, reforming the capital markets could lead to economic well being of south Africa rather than the west which would in turn invite the US and the CIA foreign operatives to intervene in these highly "undemocratic" endeavours... south Africa has to be careful how this reform is done, well meaning in its essence but could on one side lead to the concentration of wealth in the hands of few blacks that do not have the necessary qualifications to handle such wealth and lead to oligarchy and favouritism which could also be bad for the economy and on the other side lead to a very engaged west doing everything to secure capital in this very valuable market , possibly the most valuable among the southern African nations.

    • @aijamanpirlo2736
      @aijamanpirlo2736 Před 7 lety

      That is exactly my problem. Floyd speak and speak without thinking about international politics.
      Even worse, South African international policy is not clear. That means it can be easy to divide the country at the same time be easy to make enemies.
      He should be careful
