I heard this song today at SHOPRITE. I was talking to a 40 year old guy stocking the shelfs. He had never heard the song before but was grooving on it. I told him I was about 13 years old when the song came out. He wouldn’t be born for another 12 years. Excellent song that brings back memories. Dave
I heard it at IGA and had to sing it all the way home so I could put it on. Now I listen to it every time I put music on.

The group was Dutch, but Mariska Veres, the singer, was Hungarian. They were really popular in Europe around 1970.
Anya dancing to this has to be one of the most iconic series scene on several years, the aesthetics and cinematography plus her expressions and body language were on point.

Iconic means timeless and globally known, which is not the case. Iconic is that scene from Titanic where the leading couple stands on the bow of the ship, not a scene from a show that if you ask people, 19 out of 20 haven't seen, and nobody will remember in five years.

I heard this first in the early 1980's by Bananarama in my early 30's but never heard it on radio by Shocking Blue in the 1960's. Boy did I miss out! This is the best better than all others!
