Tracie! These are so beautiful!!! I love the layering and different textures. For me, shabby chic would be almost the same except using some lace, pearls, and perhaps a Victorian type photo of a woman in pink or with shades of pink roses or roses by themselves. When I think shabby chic, I see lovely shades of pink, the beiges, different laces, maybe ribbons and a few pearls. The shabby chic is very romantic - soft and elegant. Thank you for this video... you are always so inspiring!! ❤️💕

Those are gorgeous! Love the idea of crumpling up the paper for the layering. I tend to be too perfect and exact with my layering so this will help!

Love these. I struggle with shabby chic too. Not really my style but no problem with the shabby, grungy style. I think everyone has their own style and their own take on each style that's what makes crafting fun. To me shabby chic is lots of pastels and flowers, lace and pearls, very feminine. That's just my take on it

Love these!! From my understanding shabby chic involves old florals with pink tones. So you could do the exact same thing and just add a strip of florally fabric, lol!! Thanks for video!! I'll have to try "screwing " up the paper which I gather means squishing 🤣👍

Love these! These would be great in junk journals! I just finished a shabby chic/vintage junk journal and was very impressed the way it turned out, as it was one of my first junk journals! I hope to do a video of it soon and post it on my You Tube channel. Always love what you create! TFS!

Hi Tracie! I luv these, and today I happened to be wanting to make some altered playing cards w/pockets in a vintage shabby look like these, so I this was the perfect video to put on while playing...thank you! To me, shabby chic is similar to just shabby, but shabby chic is distressed by using white gesso instead of inks...it looks cleaner than grunge, but still has rips and tears on the edges. It is whiter, and uses more pastel embellishments and then, the ultimate distinction, is it must have some added bling, to top it off. Hope that helps...lol! TFS! xo

Hi Tracy, love these little bags. I struggle with shabby chic as well, I have just made a couple of journals and they really did my head in, lol. I ended up finding a cream top with pink roses in a op-shop that I ripped up and added with laces as well as a little bling.
I love these bags and I love listening to you “rabbit on” we don’t hear that phrase much in Texas😜.

Beautiful little pocket bags Tracie!!! LOVE the wrinkling of the paper look. I am not a Shabby Chic type either, but It is easy to do. Pink, roses, lace, frills, and more lace!!! LOL !!! Think of little girls in frilly dresses, with ribbons and lace, with pink roses. It is not hard to do, but the question is, will you like it? Probably not because it is not you, or me either. Good luck on the challenge!!!

To add some chic to your shabby....just add some bits of lace and pastel colors. shabby is mostly neutrals. Chic is faded colors.

I always think of shabby chic as sort of faded sophistication. Because I’m a book nerd🤓, I’m going to use a book character as an example, that being Miss Haversham from Great Expectations. She was once a great beauty, once an image of dazzling glamour, and now she’s a bit run down, a bit faded and definitely bonkers. 😂

I do love the embossed papers add some lace and I think it would be even more shabby chicish..... They tend to be faded flowery fabrics and that kind of thing. Furniture sort of peeled paint.... But washed out.... Whites and creams... Hope that helps xx

These are very nice but I would prefer botanicals, birds and nature for the top piece. I’m not shabby chic either. Try making these with nature on the top. Would love to see them. I do like the crinkled paper on them.

In my mind, "shabby" is a tad worn but not grungy. "Chic" is soft colors of pink, blue, green, yellow but not quite pastel, slightly brighter, with soft colored flowers. Sort of cottagie lol. Now that makes sense to me in my crazy mind. I just hope I haven't mixed you up even more lol. Love the little bags. TFS again my sweet friend!! Toodles

I find shabby chic and vintage are often interchanged when describing decor and craft items these days. Personally, I would say a french image/phrase, along with a distressed pastel /light background, plus some vintage flowers, lace, a feminine touch, is the opitome of shabby shic xx

OH, I just love these little bag/pockets! Well, I would say you have the shabby down well...just add lace, bling, roses and ribbons and you'll have the chic part too.....oh, did I mention lace....??? LOL

Well, this is the first time in YEARS, Ihave had my nails done LOL. Its gellish????? It is not bothered with the fabritac, just peels off but my nails maybe grow too quick and the gellish certainly didnt like my knife LOL xx
