    You might find it easier to put one o-ring on the pivot before putting it in the shock, also you might want reverse the pivot ball so the large side is out instead on against the frame, doing this will prevent loss of o-rings, they can pop off the small side if they are in the outside.

    • @MiguelCortez

      I have had o rings pop off Hr shocks never Injora surprisingly

    On the shock Tower where the top screw goes in it should be another hole above it put all your shocks there it will lower the truck's gravity center of gravity

    Not a bad video. I like the tunes in the background. Maybe less elevator music and something more relevant..if possible. Sound effects are always fun too. Throw some color on the walls. Lol

    I had some double barrels when they 1st came out. No matter what I did the would bind. Polished the brass tube, tried dry bike chain lube. Nothing worked. I took them off & put them in the junk box. I played with different shocks & decided for the money I’d just use the stock ones.

      The best fix for this is to mount them upside down , they work like a dream when upside down

  • @SuperPeterpaan
    @SuperPeterpaan Před 2 lety +3

    In my opinion it is better to prepare the brass parts before putting them in to the shock, simply put the brass part on the end of your 1,3mm hex and place the O ring on to the bigger flange first. Once done to all parts than insert them in to the shock and put second O ring to the other (smaller) flange. Also, are these oil filled shocks Miguel?

    • @MiguelCortez
      @MiguelCortez  Před 2 lety +1

      That sounds like a good technique, and no there was no oil in the shocks 👍

      Thats how I assembled my links, o ring first.
      I got Yeahrun double barrel shock. Basically the same as the Injora ones just with the fake piggyback reservoir on the top like the stock ones. They also came pre-assembled with 3 different strength sets of springs. I used the softest ones but had near to zero sag.

    Thanks for the clear video on these. Big price difference between the HR and Inj's. Probably come out of the same factory. Any thoughts on how to fix the binding issue? Polishing the tubes? Wax or grease the insides? Thanks! Sub earned!

    • @MiguelCortez
      @MiguelCortez  Před 2 lety +1

      I heard that others used polish to fix the binding issue 👍

    • @wingnutbert9685
      @wingnutbert9685 Před 2 lety

      @@MiguelCortez Yeah. I was thinking that be a good first thing and easy enough to do. Maybe a dry silicone lube would help to and wouldn't attract dirt like a grease would. I like idea the other guy below had about running the shorter stock springs to drop the chassis height but still getting the extended droop. Might be able to affix the shorter spring to the top of the shock to keep it in place so it doesn't get caught in the movement of the extension tubes. CA glue or epoxy might work. Just wish these parts were easier and as cheap to get up here in Canada.

    Did they make your front drive shaft bind up to much? Seems like the angle of the shafts is to much because the massive ride height gain

    • @MiguelCortez
      @MiguelCortez  Před 2 lety +1

      They actually allowed for too much movement ur right. The shafts disconnected

    They don't work. They bind up because the machining is rough. They catch as they try to go in and out, and if there is any angle pressure, like in literally any real-life crawling situation, they catch and snag and don't let the suspension move freely. The only way they'll work is if you spend a LOT of time polishing the moving parts to make them move smoothly. Which is probably what the youtubers do before demonstrating them.
