It literally mentions his sister is like his kid, he had every right to explain and help her like a father with no mother around could. He does not need to make his gf explain shit, if she wanted to she coulda butted in and told her everything. I started puberty very young (8 years old). I was terrified and confused. If my parents hadn't been there to explain what was going on one of my older brothers would have explained or asked a female relative to explain. Her now ex bf did what a caring older brother should do.
