Toastmasters Icebreaker Speech about Myself: The 4 Haircuts

This was my Toastmaster's Icebreaker Speech about myself called: "The 4 Haircuts."
This Toastmaster's Icebreaker Speech was done in the Suncoast Toastmasters club in Tampa Florida.
The 4 Haircuts talks about the 4 stages of my life. From my home country of Bangladesh to the United States. Ironically, in different stages of my life, I had different haircuts.
Chapter 1: The Combover
Chapter 2: The Buzzcut
Chapter 3: The Part Down the Middle
Chapter 4: The Spikes
The Toastmaster's Icebreaker Speech is the first speech given in the club.
This talk is meant to introduce the new member to the club.
As a new speaker, there can be a lot of pressure for the first talk. However, the real answer is counterintuitive.
Others, are not setting too much pressure on you.
However, you are setting a lot of pressure on yourself.
The Toastmasters Icebreaker Speech is an opportunity to allow the club members and guests to hear your story.
Plus, they know how daunting the first speech is. So they are extra supportive.
Use all the pressure to create a speech that will outlast you.
The Toastmasters Icebreaker Speech taught me the power of perseverance and simplicity.
Growing up, I was a shy kid once I move to the United States. Getting on stage seemed like a wild dream.
However, through perseverance, Toastmasters made conquering speech anxiety possible. It's the simplicity of consistently showing up & delivering speeches that will deliver a person to the promise land.
In the Toastmasters Icebreaker Speech, there may be doubt the night before about getting on stage.
But enter nevertheless.
Record it.
And replay it back.
The Icebreakers Speech is what is chapter 1 for many other talks to come.

Thank you! I recall making a joke about how I had every haircut in the book. And this was around the time my icebreakers speech was around the corner. Each haircut was influenced by the environment or a particular life moment. So, I thought it would be an unique angle for a talk!
