    I remember when peter started and i learned so much, wedidnt have so many sq places like we have now, so many countries doing sq everywhere and competing, and now we get all that information and it helps so much, but peter is one of the first here on you tube , well english speaking, germans and russians and vietnam has always done it , but we had to learn from looking and translating , now everyone speaks english😅

    Don’t mind, but I like the sound quality on this car more than your Sclass. It could probably be the songs played but everything feels perfect, it’s like being a theatre.
    Seriously amazing job done 👍🏼
    If I ever plan to build a SQ setup, I’ll ask u for suggestions.

      Recording can work out differently especially in convertible when you have no cabin gain and “boom”. Having said that this system was truly amazing considering the equipment fitted in it.

    Time alignment has changed the sound audio industry 😮

    In McLaren you could get center imagine in front of driver. But it's bit expensive base for car audio hobby.

    When limited on space you use the best sounding drivers for the applications. Everything is spot on and understand the midbass drivers upfront. Leave well alone if it is working. I would have liked to have seen a more flush fit in the fiberglass sail panels. I can see a little daylight coming through on both sides. I understand it is very tough to do an the the installer can only do so much. A little more creativity but it is an excellent install no doubt. I am big fans of yours as well as Matt Schaffer…Best of luck on the next build. God Bless!!

      I know what you mean, but that gap was needed to be clear. It’s tricky with a frameless door.

      @@pssound9749 Have you ever had a chance to work with compression drivers wave guides fitted under the dash & mid bass drivers in the kicks. Such as a manufacturer as Stevens Audio. I know you single handedly brought IB back to the masses of car audio. Compression drivers could be the next step back to car audio. The sound of waveguides & a proper tuner like you gives me goosebumps. The power & realistic sound they can produce is incredible.

    Have to agree with you, i don't have your ability, but having a multi front stage system with exposed drivers i often have to feel if they are still moving because they disappear in the sound field. 😊😊

    I saw u mentioning the role of a front sub to take off some of the stress from rear sub. Can a similar sound quality be achieved with a factory built under seat sub box like from Audison or JL Audio?

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Somewhat yes. If an underseat sub can be controlled with a DSP fully active, then it can be tuned to integrate between midbass and rearsub for sure.

    I've got a 2008 sl 550 and most of it is just like this sl. I've have 3 soundstream R3's in the trunk. Anddd there's no more room..lol.. I'm running infinity kappas 3 way components and I'm just not liking the sound . I'm just learning the proper Sq side so most of my system will be redone

      Installation and tuning are way more important than anything else! Make sure that you take your car to a place where they have proven record of tuning skills.

    • @thebreakbarrelshow
      @thebreakbarrelshow Před 5 měsíci +1

      I totally agree. That's pretty much why I'm redoing everything . I had the entire system put in by a very well known chain electronics store so I felt safe but, it became a pure nightmare. So bad I should have sued them but , I just started fixing everything myself because I just do not trust anyone now..lol.. So I am trying to soak up as much knowledge as I can from you guys. So just know your videos and the work that's put in is very much appreciated!!!

    Have you ever used the JL Audio Twk 88 rather than a helix for a tune? If you have, what did the JL DSP compare to the Helix?

      Adhesion will be different for sure. You need a heatgun and warm the deafening sheets up, they’ll stick much better.
