Boston Dynamics robot can run, jump, & do back flips...while this one walks slower then a turtle.
Derek Ash Boston dynamics robot is also extremely heavily funded and would cost so much more to purchase. It represents what we can do today with tons of funding. This is a more consumer friendly less expensive less funded robot. Still a great start.
@@Machiavelli2pc boston dynamics atlas isnt for sale and even if it was it would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars
this is going to sell for 10s of thousands when it releases in a few years.

I wonder why it's so slow. For safety? Or some kind of technological shortcoming? They can make Teslas that go from 0 to 60 in 2 seconds but they can't make fast moving motors for robots? Anyway, still cool, they're the only one that are attempting to make an Asimo-like robot for the mass market, the future is now, I want that thing in my house in 2030.

so who is going to get the glass out of the cupboard to give to Walker to fill? Everything is pre- set up. That wouldn't be the case in a real home. And the way it walks I keep waiting for it to take a crap.
I know one thing, they need to work on that speed and walk, robot walking around like a 90 year old person.
So slow. . . just give it retractable wheels on the underside of it's shoes. . . Then again. . . . I didn't see this thing go up stairs which would be the only need for feet to begin with. Impressed with the bottle poor though, was just like that scene from the mandalorian.
Too bad they give this thing a creepy face. . . I think it would look better WITHOUT the monitor above the torso (torso being where the camera is).
