Love this so much, I bumped into your blog 2 years ago. Read about Homeschooling loved what you guys were doing. Now this year my son is in 1st grade and I'm Homeschooling him. I'm enjoying it, tearing my hair out other days because he finds certain things boring or mundane 😞. We both appreciate that we can tailor his learning. I don't take it as school I take it as imparting and acquiring knowledge. I'm also learning more about my son

Homeschooling is been on my mind for so long, but kept on pushing it for later stage. The more I grow spiritually, the more I value our time together as a family and the importance of being a hands on mom, especially at these earlier stage of their life’s.

Not really, hey. There are many options …and there are even curriculums that come with everything and guide you on what to do each day…we just choose the option of doing it all ourselves 😊

Thanks so much for this video, really enjoyed it. You said that you don't follow a curriculum, so how do you come up with the concepts and things to learn. Do you mix up different curriculums or do you just search things online for children the ages of your children? What sort of 'guide's do you follow?
Home schooling seems very inaccessible so thank you for this video to say it is possible. I needed the reminder that you don't have to wait for a qualification.

I absolutely loved watching this!!! WE homeschooled my niece for grade R because finances did not allow us to take her to school. I actually went into the Department of Education website and downloaded the curriculum (for free) because I knew she would go into school for grade 1 so I wanted her to learn the same things and know the same thing so to avoid her feeling left out.

You have helped me give definitions to a lot of things I had already been doing with my niece (7 years old) and given me terminology because as a psychologist, I have been homeschooling her according to what I know kids should be learning but being attentive to her learning style and adapting my techniques but essentially teaching her "grade-appropriate" work.

I don't think I'd consider home schooling for my kids purely because I don't have enough patience (homework time & home distance learning due to Covid has shown me flames 🔥😭). I still loved & enjoyed this video though. Looking forward to more content!
