Dusty was a character he played in the movie Pure Country.
Yeah I’ve seen that movie and it’s darn good. Watched it like 5 times 😂
One of the greatest movies ever
I was about to come say that also lmaoo
I love that movie it's pretty good
One of my absolute favorite movies.
Another great movie in the cowboy genre is 8 seconds. If you’ve seen it, you probably love it. If you haven’t, you should. Based on real life events - no spoilers from me. 👍
Facts about George “The King of Country” Strait:
His daughter, Jennifer, passed away in a car accident and he has since sung songs in memory of her (Baby Blue, You’ll Be There, and I Saw God Today->Amazing!!). He served in the Army for a few years before being honorably discharged to pursue his music career. He eloped with his high school sweetheart, Norma, and they married in Mexico. They’ve been married for about 48 years now. George has a son, nicknamed Bubba, that has quite taken to song writing and singing. If you ever watch the movie, Pure Country, you’ll hear toddler Bubba singing with his dad in the introduction song, Heartland. Bubba recently wrote a song called Arkansas Dave that he sang with his dad on George's stadium attendance record breaking last big tour concert in Dallas. In Strait’s latest album, Honky Tonk Time Machine (definitely worth listening to), he sings a song called, God and Country Music, and you hear his little grandson (I think his name is Harvey after George’s middle name) sing in there too!
George grew up ranching in Texas and has participated in Team Roping and he’s apparently pretty decent at it! He’s mentioned having a dream of winning in Team Roping at the National Finals Rodeo in Vegas, but his music and family life takes up too much time for him to be able to dedicate the time it would take to try to make that happen. I’m sure he’s not complaining about that though! He’s a grandpa now ontop of being a country legend, a co-founder of his tequila, Codigo (Spanish for Code), and golfing. There’s a golf resort in San Antonio, TX that has Strait stuff everywhere.
I could go on, but you listening to his music is great to see.
50 years married this year for King George and Queen Norma.
Hank Sr is king George is just the king of love songs in country!
George made a movie called Pure country. In the movie he was Dusty.
You won't be complete without "The Chair" and "The Fireman".
"The chair" is my favorite
Oh, I bet he’d love The Fireman!
"The Chair" is a classic
I would be honored to have him sing this at my wedding for the bride and groom 1st dance. Country music has never had a shortage of talent. But George Strait was truly the GOAT. He had 75 number 1 hits for a reason.
Pleaseeeeeee listen to "The Chair". Also gotta recommend "Carrying your love with me", "Run", and "Troubadour" :))
yep 'the chair' is great
Carrying your love with is kinda nostalgic for me. I am from WV and my wife and I moved to TN only to get homesick in 2 yrs- missed these mountains (and I got divorced OOPS)
Dusty is from the movie he plays in. The movie is called " Pure Country" give it a watch. I think you will like it.
Yes! It’s a “chick flick,” but it’s a good movie.
Yes I agree I’m a guy, 52 yrs old and I loved that movie! I think he will too

She leaves you with a Smile. Official video. Favorite George
George Strait didn’t clock anyone, he got clocked 😂 I laughed so hard when he said that. You should react to Ocean Front Property, The Chair, The Fireman, Unwound, Carrying your love with me, Write this down, and the list goes on and on.

Love without end amen is another great George Strait song
"Baby Blue" was a song George wrote and sang after the loss of his 13 year old daughter Jennifer to a car accident In 1986 I believe. Heart felt song, I beat you cannot listen to this without tearing up.
Love love love King George 💗 cross my heart
Pure Country is one of my favorite movies. Love King George. Dusty was his character in Pure Country. George has done Rodeo in real life.a definite Cowboy.
My future wedding song. I've been a George Strait Junkie since I was a kid 🤣
If George can wrangle a steer he can DEFINITELY floor a man.
100% facts
I would definitely check out more George reactions! I already suggested "how bout them cowgirls", but also "the chair" was my childhood favorite 🥰. And yes he was a real rodeo cowboy 😉!
This song is one of the most played song in a wedding.
This song is played at every wedding in Texas I have ever been to
The little boy is his son George Jr, or Bubba. You should see the movie, and the ending where he sings this song is a tear jerker.
“We must be loving right” is an underrated George strait song but it’s my person favorite. Beautiful love song
Our song - My husband and I. Love this song and means so much to us.
My sister had this at her wedding. Everybody was crying!!💕
If there was EVER a legit wedding song, it’s this, hands down!!
This was the prefect slow song at the Honky Tonk. Those girls would fall in love with you over this song
Where the Sidewalk Ends is another great George song from his movie, Pure Country.
Watch “PURE COUNTRY”
More George strait songs to listen to:
Carrying your love with me, every little honky Tonk bar, the weight of the badge, I got a car, give it all we got tonight, love without end amen, the chair, I can still make Cheyenne, all of his songs are amazing
The chair and fathers love George Strait
“A love without end, amen” is a good one. 🖤
I will never get tired of this song ❤️
My son is a singer and he sang this song at a festival and then called his girlfriend up on stage and proposed. That was over 13 years ago and he still sings it to her sometimes.
You have to listen to the Pure Country soundtrack...it stayed on the charts for YEARS.
I cross my heart is a very popular wedding song 🤣😂
The firemen great upbeat song from George
Here are some of my George Straight favs Every Little Honky Tonk Bar, Adalida, Give it all we got tonight, Carrying your love with me, One night at a time, Write this down, and Blue Clear Sky. But like 90% of his songs are absolute bangers, those are just my favorites
omg i recommend watching “Pure country” PLEASE DO OMG
My wedding song!! I love this song, my husband at the last minute had to pick out music and I could not know what he choose. This was the song he choose for me, and I did not even know until It started playing.
Sort of an underrated George Strait song, but one of my favorites. It's called Rocking in the Arms of Your Memory.
He is the King of Country!
George Strait (George Harvey Strait Sr.) is his real name. Dusty is the character he plays in the hit movie "Pure Country." It's a great movie where he plays a big country music star who gets tired of what's happening to his career and music, and just takes off. He ends up working on a ranch where no one knows who he is and, of course, falls in love with the ranchers daughter. In the movie he sings this song to her when he wants to tell her who he really is. Check it out. As far as other songs go, here are some great ones: "Blue Clear Sky", "Ocean Front Property", "Unwound", "The Fireman", "You Know Me Better Than That", "Carried Away", "Write This Down", "She Leave You With a Smile", "Give It All We Got Tonight", "Designated Drinker", "Fool Hearted Memory (this was his first #1)", "The Chill of an Early Fall". Of course there are very few bad George Strait songs. By all means do more reactions. Heck, you could do a month of George Strait and still have a long way to go. Enjoy!
Im so loving this beautiful week of George thanku do much fabulous holla love an God bless x
This was the song my husband and I danced for our first dance.
These are scenes from the movie Pure Country. George plays the lead character Dusty. A really good movie❤️
"Carrying Your Love With Me" and "Carried Away" are also great songs.
This is one of the most played songs for weddings.
My wife and I danced to that song at our wedding 💒
You have to watch the movie. “ Pure Country”.
I second that
Love without end, amen
Heck yeah
George Strait did a movie called Pure Country Dusty was the name of his character this song is from that movie. George Strait's my favorite.
The song “Run” is melodic like “You Look So Good In Love” and a good love song. You will not be disappointed. May become one of your favs.
A week of the commodores/lionel richie! A couple songs from the classics "The Commodores" followed by a couple after Lionel left... Nightshift and Only You... And end with a couple of Lionel's biggest hits
those scenes were from a movie he was in called “ Pure Country” that was him that got punched for trying to save that girl from another guy.
He actually made this for a movie... and in the movie he's this huge flashy country star (Dusty... and all his shows were all lights, pyrotechnics, smoke machines, etc etc etc to the point where he doesn't even think people are able to hear HIM sing any more), and because of that he just sorta gets off his tour bus one day and hitch hikes back to his home town - in the end he sings this song at a 'concert' in his home down, but this time it's just him and his guitar on a black stage... no lights, nothing flashy, etc, and sings this song to a girl he had fallen in love with - who didn't know he was the famous musician "Dusty" until near the end because he had been lying about who he was, made friends with her dad taking care of her dad's horses etc... and she felt betrayed because he had been lying about who he was the entire movie... this was his song to her.
The fireman, ocean front property, nobody in his right mind would've left her, fool hearted memory, baby blue, baby's gotten good at goodbyes, famous last words of a fool.
This song was one of the only songs my dad ever sang to my stepmom (the other one was Forever and Ever Amen by Randy Travis) And they danced to this for their wedding
I sang this song to my babies, it is such a true way a mom feels if you think about it
the fireman is an absolute must my guy !!
Dusty was the name of the character he played in the movie Pure Country.
He sings this song in the movie.
A month of George strait and while George turns you into a country boy watch pure country and 8 seconds 😂
This song was the sound track to the movie pure country..Dusty is the character he played in the movie.. this entire video is actually clips from the movie.. take the time to watch it.. its well worth it
Pure Country - Movie Staring George Strait. Thats where these video clips came from.
@hollatkrazy
This video is from a movie called I cross my heart. The dark haired lady is Leslie warren she played the original Cinderella. Look up the movie of Cinderella from the 60’s. He is the king of country, then Garth they are what kept country alive and revived it. Another great country musician was Clint black when I said I do, look for the video of a blond in it. That is his wife.
God and Country Music... gotta add it to the list!!
George is the king of Texas and will always will be
George Strait has 60 number 1 hits. No One has ever done that!
“The fireman”
I ammmmmmm theeeee fireeeeman thatsssss my nameeeeeee ...... amazing song...
Watch the movie "Pure Country" 😍 with George Strait
He is a true gentleman. When he made the movie Pure Country, he never kissed the leading lady out of respect for his wife.
A nice song is "You'll Be There" , a tribute to his 13 year old daughter who was killed in an automobile accident a few years back. Also "True" is another love song that's upbeat in tempo. Dusty is the character he played in a movie, "Pure Country". This video is clips from the movie.
I’d say it was much more than a few years back.
Another song for your wedding playlist....Big and Rich "Lost in this moment"
Do a week of Alan Jackson’s songs start with midnight in Montgomery
River of Love is a great upbeat song from George
Great song! & movie ( Pure Country)!! Best line in the movie; Gramma Ivy “There are No answers, Only the Search”! Be sure you watch it!! Nice reaction!!
Play Baby Blue!!! (I’ve heard he sings it for his daughter that passed when she was 13) And watch Pure Country when ya get a chance!!
Movie Pure Country. Dusty was a singer with all the lights and theatrical acting. Strait wanted to go back to singing in an up front no show kind of way. He is old school and not flashy.
George Strait has over 60 number 1 country hits
This is from the Pure Country soundtrack. Every track is 🔥. The movie is 🔥
This is also one of my favorites!! Wedding song material right here lol you'll have to watch Pure Country that's where the music video came from
The clips are from a movie called 'Pure Country' that he did in 1992, playing a country singer named Dusty.
Decided from childhood, I'll marry anyone who would sing this song to me and mean it. Haven't found one who would even sing it to me😂
“Listen just play one of them OK” had me fucking dead 😂
This song played during our wedding ceremony before saying our vows.
This was our wedding song in 1992 and we are still dancing to it today
This was our first dance at our wedding.
Never Stop by Safetysuit (wedding version) is the best love song ever!! You should check it out 😁
"Pure Country" was a movie about Country singer Dusty. This song was main hit off soundtrack. George Straight played Dusty in movie. Listen to "last in love" from soundtrack
This was our wedding song. Perfection.
