Hobby Essentials and modelling compound by: www.geekgaming....
My favourite game store EVER! www.ehgaming.com/
Me googling what the fuck brown sauce is
Brown Sauce (noun); the other condiment (see Red Sauce) 😄
It's a sauce, that's brown.... I guess a more vinegary barbecue sauce would be the best I could describe it. And it is wonderful on bacon butties.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/HP_Sauce
Other brands are available
"Other brands are available..." but seriously, nope, HP is the daddy. Which must really annoy the makers of Daddy's....
HP is most certainly the daddy 😃
Completely agree with you. Smaller scale stories will work a lot better.
But what I’m scared of is, that they don’t paint the imperium in the way it is. Meaning they change the narrative to make the imperium appear nicer. That they fail to make humanity as Grimdark as the setting they are in. That’s my biggest scare.
That is probably what they would do. depends if they have the balls, to be honest.
Hector is so well puppeted when you use him that he reads to me as alive even when he is just sitting there.
Hector ain't puppeted, that frog is alive
You guys should see him the way I do! I should be sectioned
Where does Hector get his jumpers from?.....
I got a feeling he's a lickable frog. 3 licks and off to hyperspace.
I need a Hector for my newborn, he was really interested on the frog and he even started pointing at the TV
Cavil as Eisenhorn and a picture about his inquisitioning should tick all boxes.
Christopher Walkin.... hell yeah. from "i got a fever, and the only cure is more cowbell" , to Joe Dirt, to music video weapon of choice. he's a classic
Really looking forward to more long format stuff from you Dave. Real life has meant my hobby has been entirely vicarious this year, and your Titan vid was one of my favourite things I've seen all year. 😀 The almost stream of consciousness just getting on with it approach made for a great watch, and if it's actually easier for you than the usual heavily edited 10 minutes CZcams hobby video, that sounds like a winner.
I enjoyed it muchly! And glad you guys got a big pop from it!
Some of the early 40K novels are crackers but would likely blow up most of the community who didnt experience the earlier tongue in cheek universe.
Like a few have mentioned in comments, I love hearing your take on things as you have a perspective completely different to anyone I know and unlike many on the Internet (apparently) I like hearing views different to mine :D
I hope you and yours have a great Christmas and a safe (and as healthy as possible) New Years.
Thanks Ian! Have a good Christmas
I mean... anyone watching Enterprise that doesn’t understand that it’s all about Shran has missed the point. Carbon Creek is one of the best Star Trek episodes ever. And it’s an unfair question to begin with, DS9 is stacked with Quark, Odo, Morn, and half the Next Gen cast! But eh, who am I to say, I clearly don’t even like Star Trek... eating beans and toast off Cheif O’Brien’s face is your best line of the year and made me a supporter for life!
Cheers
‘Alright Encarta, chill out’
Laughed out loud. Even after explaining to the wife, she had no idea what I was on about 😂
Is that the reason I kept falling asleep during Rings? The sound track lulled me snoozing. Great talking head piece, thanks MS Paints
Thanks bud!
Love the idea of guard holding them have space marines show up right at the end, like how it would be. Against orks on Armageddon
Tangerine Dream's soundtrack for The Keep is very good. The German band Software is very similar (their albums Chip Meditation 1 & 2, & Electronic Universe 1 & 2).
Blood Bowlers Wives. I want to see this it could be gold
Agreed Andor is the template for a Warhammer 40K series.
It's a polar opposite to Man of Steel, which went too big, too fast, to the detriment of the characters.
Best ad in the history of advertising...eff me !
I think the logistics of making a 40k movie would be very tough especially around the Horus heresy arch. Space marines are giant mech looking humans and to have someone in a space marine suit and then have them look 8ft or w/e height they are and look genuinely intimidating and realistic would be hard to pull of.
I think a 40k storyline where space marines never really appear in the scene and it’s more about regular soldiers would be a more viable option unless games workshop is willing to spend big bucks to make a good movie.
I actually enjoyed the space marines in the Horus heresy, they actually looked like intimidating and their scaling/ armour looked perfect.
I'm in a CZcams video!
I fully support the bandai factory visit, full sized gundam count me in!
In the same video as Hector, too!
Cyber-Theodin! Ha-ha!
Frakking funny, Dave
Such a great idea the brushes or a holder. As someone who can shake like a dog taking a shit due to parkinsons, that would be a go to for me. Its made how some of these cheap Chinese brushes are crap but have great grip.
Merry holidays all🎉
Cheers Dave! My favourite channel this year!
I’m looking forward to gathering a group of gamers in York, getting them to walk separately but on the right route to bump into Ginger and having each one ask Ginger how Hector is doing…
you get those brushes mad and you have a customer here big guy
Gaunts Ghost series, shot for shot sci-fi replica of Sharpe. That's all we need.
Tangerine Dream are great for background sound when on a serious session.
Oh yeah! And I think one of em went on to do the Babylon 5 music, which is also on my cd shelf!
@@MSPaints wouldn't be surprised since they did soundtracks to a fair number of movies.
Finally able to sit down and watch this and you've reminded me it's been a while since I listened to Summoning!
It’s always been too long since we last listened to summoning!
Don't know if you've seen the Astartes animated series. I think it got the creater hired by warhammer. Well after GW gave them a cease and desist.
Anyway, it captures what you're talking about with a limited run series, and characters. Being more compelling and initeresting
Merry Crimbo Dave to you and yours and a Cracking New Year (Hick!!).
You are an inspiration to impaired hobbiests Keep doing what you do and take care of number one. Winter time is always hard Godspeed. And happy holidays.
As usual, I really enjoy both the opinions and delivery. I laughed hard at least twice in the first 5 minutes.
When you mentioned being overwhelmed by 40k lore, I think this is why I enjoy the more personal stories like the Crime imprint (and earlier Ciaphas Cain and early Dan Abnett).
Definitely here for the chilled zen painting and the going outdoors videos.
Merry Christmas
Paint brush grip would be awesome! Great idea!
Looking forward to seeing your Troll Traders factory tour.
But also, Lighthouse Family is a banging choice!
When making Tea, I always add the Brown Sauce before the milk.
Warhammer TV Show? Henry Cavill as Ciaphas Cain would be my choice.
The inconsistent snow on Tony's web-shite bit really made me giggle.
Henry vs the Balrog was epic fun.
"Alright, Encarta, chill out!" 😄😄😄
Pakleds are looking for things.
A buddy Hector and Tony game could be fun; following our two heroes, as Tony blasts Nazi-Space-Ninjas and Hector keeps him safe.
Thanks for another great year; and I'm looking forward to seeing what the new year brings.
Thanks mate! Looking forward to a productive but less busy year! See you soon!
Damn I could see Caville a Ci-Co-Ciaphus Cain hero of the Imperium.
Trevor Peanut rescued me from a horrific clarinet accident one time
Did you get a look at his face?!
Merry Christmas Dave and Hector. :)
You've got the same hopes for me for 40k, I don't want Space Marines vs Space Marines, we want Gaunts Ghosts but the Gereon arc or something Eisenhorn or Last Chancers... small stories that aren't weighed down by the baggage.
Wonderfully video, congrats on a fantastic year, cheers!
I'd do it so Gulliman finds out about Abbadons plan and goes to recruit the different factions to stop Abaddon
Rings of powers sound track being the best thing about it is deffo a back handed compliment... compared to say Kevin Penkin who's still criminally underated it's just not even the same league of good sound tracks.
Sad face chord. Hobbits pizzicato. Dwarf choir. Elf woodwinds.
Stick a tuning fork in me, the scoring is done.
@@MSPaints Got it in one.
It's not quite on the level of tracks such as "The Rumble of Scientific Triumph" which echoes and re-enforces beautifully the events around it (avoiding spoilers etc. but 'Made In Abyss'... is in a way the most 40k brutal thing i've seen in a long time).
Compared to... generic high fantasy triumph track #4
Ps they already did escape from new York but in Necromunda…. It was escape from LA
If you could work the sorcery for that paintbrush line...bloody inflation. :/
At first glance Henry playing the emperor (a mostly dead character) isn't the best idea but let's not forget Daniel Radcliffe in "swiss army man " 🤔 sooooooooo hear me out ..........grim dark swiss army emperor 😳😳🤘🙌🙌🙌🙌
If you want to play with your gundam, check out 'samurai robots battle royale'! Unfortunately the sister title, 'mighty monsters' seems to be out of print? Love the idea of a kaiju game
I just need Henry Cav to play my fav character of all time in the 40k universe, Constantin Valdor plus with him being such a big custodes fan I think he'd be done. Plus I've always wanted them to dig into the lore more with him being the Yellow King and all.
How he be Eisenhorn and Valdor?
@@bobdrooples I mean Eisonhorn would be cool an all but it's just so basic and besides Jon Bernthal would be a way better fit for that roll. All I'm saying is how we gonna downgrade Henry from Superman to basic boi inquisitor.
Hope you have a nice holiday season! Thanks for everything you do on CZcams you are consistently my favorite person to watch!
Thanks Benjamin! You too!
Rumor has it theyre going to bring in Nurgle Matthew for the Chaos Perspective. Should be a good 2023. - Thanks for yer content. - Best Man. Best Community. Happy new year. Cheers.
Either work with Astartes team or do Valdore, tis the whey.
Have a great New Year
Respect for the Come Outside reference.
'you have to learn how kak all 3 of them are had me chuckling'. Final fantasy stuff, I might something interesting to show you. Have a good Christmas dude and get some rest otherwise hector may go full e-honda on your ass 😁
A series of free-standing short stories would work for me. They could gradually form into an arc that explains what’s happening in the 40k universe as a whole. The key would be to hire experienced screenplay writers able to link the episodes in a subtle way.
Honestly, I would spend more money on a high quality brush set if it were ergonomic. I’m tired of paying for brushes over and over that just don’t feel good with my twitching hand. Good luck on engineering but know you definitely have a market for it. Excellent video
I always thought Tony had a previous career as a travel lodge rep.
Have a good New Year Dave... And Tony oh and Hector 👍
Have to say, the past few years I've always looked forward to your Christmas Vid especially. Genuinely both love and enjoy your Vids. From start to finish they're always a treat. Brown sauce on a bacon/rasher sandwich although I have zero bottles of the stuff in the cupboard.... So I have resorted to Nuln Oil instead.
Merry Christmas Kid.
More of an Athonian camoshade kinda guy myself. Needs extra butter though.
@@MSPaints That's fighting talk.
I've been informed I've "Be'lakor, the Dark Master" as a gift under the tree, Those wings, they ain't going to be just Black, any colour choices you'd recommend? Thanks.
Bandai do in fact do guided tours around their gunpla factory, just in case you want to really want to go outside with a camera.
'appy Christams Dave!
Thanks & merry Christmas
Thanks Andy! And thanks for the super!! 🐸🐸
the prisoners escaping could help start the Guard Penal Legion origin story. That is a guard unit in lore.
Here for the Andor love. Happy holidays mate!
YES!!!! A fellow intellectual! FF9 is the best FF
Imperial guard protecting an outpost, so like... Starship troopers 2?
Hopefully nothing like ST2 haha!
@@MSPaints if you didn't notice, the female sergeant in ST2 is the captain who got crushed by the door in first film 🤣🤣
Merry Christmas Dave and crew. You guys are the gift that keeps on giving all year round. Thanks for all you do. We appreciate you.
Top weedjo, brudda! Keep up the good work 👍
That dreadnauht dino is the smae hight as me :( hahaha
Summoning, Baby! The "Nightshade Forests"-EP is my go-to-sleep-soundtrack since several years. While painting you can check out Silenius' side project Mirkwood and of course Dungeon Synth stuff as a whole.
Dungeon Synth is the absolute best sub genre out there in my opinion.
My go to painting soundtrack, anything by William Orbit.
Gaunt's Ghosts would be a solid WW2 style series ala Band of Brothers.
RIPPER! Oh my god... Go checkout Nextlander's YT. They did a series on that game (and a few other FMV games). Man, that game is strange as hell and Walken is the best!
life is too short not to worry about sauce🤣❤..... sauces for courses..............
Merry xmas to you all!
You are the best channel by a country mile i have discovered this year. Of course it is parasocial but I really vibe with you in a very familiar way. You remind me of...well of me and my mates, no insult intended. I thoroughly enjoy all your stuff and its comforting to watch. Have a cracking Christmas and i suppose ultimately thanks. Now for the cheese course ; bring on 2023 and all the progression and success that will hopefully come with it.
Sincerely
Trevor Peanut.
Idk about all this tea information. Do you mean coffee? ;P. Lol you are the chillist guy on CZcams, I find I can't play real well when I'm stoned. As far as the hobby part yeah of course smoke it up. Do you have this issue as well?
I don’t touch it mate, it drives me up the wall. Been years now. I use CBD when I’m stressed and burning out though.
Happy Christmas all
Ripper is a good choice, but phantasmagoria really needs to be brought to the tabletop 😂. Brilliant year of content Dave, can’t wait to see what’s coming next🎉.
Can’t believe you mentioned that one haha. Got that on the shelf next to Realm Of The Haunting. Stunning trash!
All the Best Dave
The bit about how Army Painter requires a piece of industrial tech to get it to even WORK (and it still doesn't work well) made me feel so seen. I can't bring myself to buy a vortex mixer just to use the Army Painter stuff.
Also, I keep hearing so much about Pro Acryl that my wallet is already crying since I pre-ordered all the Vallejo Xpress stuff already.
Yeah man, honestly. Army painter needs a refresh on the formula big time. It is cheap though, I guess! Which makes the hobby more accessible. Hmmm… now I’m conflicted!
@@MSPaints I'm glad they exist to help others get into the hobby, truly.
But I can't talk about cost on my end. This video just got me to buy the ProAcryl base set and first expansion set. Thanks Dave. 🤣
A grip for paintbrushes would be bloody great, with the nerve damage in my neck, the pains in my forearms and hands. I now struggle with painting. But Happy Christmas Hector.
Get the guy who did the Darktide soundtrack, that’s phenomenally good!
I would also be available to do it… I can make room in my calendar
Henry Cavill as Gregor Eisenhorn
My idea for a 40k story: start with a unit of Tau soldiers on a mission, you get to know them, see them being solid bros and getting stuff done, and have them stumble across something vile like chaos demons. They struggle and triumph, and only then do you reveal to the audience that they aren't human. Then the real plot begins.
So like half of Exodite then?
So....Avatar 2
@@bobdrooples that's not at all like Avatar 2, though.
still really want to see a schola progenium anime in the slice of life schoolhouse setting.
Looking forward to seeing where your line of painting tools for folks with fine motor skill difficulties leads you.
I've got a brachial plexus injury in my right shoulder which leads to my right hand getting numb after an hour or so of model holding, I've often thought about developing a model grip which would help compensate for that
Merry Christmas Dave. I don't know too much about how MS affects motor control and what sort of an ergonomic handle would be needed for a paintbrush, but I was wondering if something similar to those rubberised egg pencil grips would be the sort of thing you had in mind. Should be pretty inexpensive, would mean you'd be able to use them with your preferred paintbrush, would be re-useable to a point, and would generally just need rebranding as a hobby aid for people with motor control issues. The whole thing reminds me of that story from a couple years ago of a guy who had issues with opening a pill bottle or something, so a bunch of people on the internet got together and designed something to solve the problem. Would be super cool if you and your Patreon did something similar.
i think a remake of alien, crossed with aliens, but with imperial guard tyranids but instead of set on a hiveworld would work really well.
Not one for commenting most of the time but just wanted to say merry Christmas and cheers for the videos from an inspired MS sufferer. Channel name still makes me laugh when i think about it, be well and keep being awesome!
Regarding brushes, consider talking with Rosemary &Co, they are british and have the habit of creating special brushes according to painters request. Their quality is great!
Thanks for the heads up! I will!
I believe they make the Opus whatever brushes. I bought some of their cheaper sable brushes and they are phenomenal for the money.
Ah yes, another man of culture in the Final Fantasy fanbase.
I could see Caville playing either Valdor or Possibly Dorn I am good with either
Nice one Dave, Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Dave. Loving the recent videos. the 1 Day Build video was great! Looking forward to what you have in store for 2023!
Benjamin Sisco best starfleet officer.
When he starts talking loud, fast and clearly. You know shits going down!
Yes. Every time someone asks „Kirk or Picard?“, I frown so hard, there probably is an audible creak …
Merry Christmas and thank you for all the brilliant content, I cannot wait to see what's to come... and see you and Hector in a spotty plane... 😂😂
Plane’s gonna be tough to find, but I can dress Hector up like a dog.
@@MSPaints I tried to Google where to find the plane to be helpful but all I found was a Dorset Live news article about Auntie Mabel being a right rotter for nicking stones 😅😆😆
What's your favorite item from Greggs?
Thanks for the great answer that I needed to hear!!! I have a few armies that I am needing to print for Grimdark Future so me and gaming group can start a series of the game.. I keep like thinking like Dammm I want play these new armies... But then my ass is like I have a headache and is like I will just do it later... I just need to say get up and paint it... !!! My parents got me the full set of color shifting paint and I finally finished my starting army for the game lol I will keep playing that answer when I AM HALF ASSING NOT FEELING IT... I know it will kick me in gear!!!
If it works for you, it works for you! Just keep those limits in mind and treat yourself right! 🐸
@@MSPaints well it got me all my Robot Army almost completely done!! Super pump for that!!! Btw.. when I went in the University of South Florida trial clinic for signing up for a new MS study... I made sure to rock my MS Paints shirt!!!
I’m 1min 50 in and am damn well staying to the end and if I don’t find out who your favourite backstreet boy is I’m gunna flip my shit and punch my therapy cat!!!
Sorry mate, I never did give a full answer.
Where Bear McCreary is concerned, take a look at the 2004 Battlestar Galactica reboot, since he scored that, or Netflix’s SnowPiercer. He’s done much better work than ROP.
He's done a ton of work, and most of it is good. He did Outlander.
Yeye his Battlestar stuff is solid. Thought his walking dead stuff was solid up to about season 3. But beyond that, just fairly void of any interest for me, sadly. Outlander was fine, 2-3 decent tracks but a whole lot of filler and padding between.
@@MSPaints tbh that kinda describes TWD in general - first season was ace. Second or third lost it’s way, it got itself back for a few but then just went to bits.
@@MSPaints tbh that kinda describes TWD in general - first season was ace. Second or third lost it’s way, it got itself back for a few but then just went to bits.
What about his God of War Soundtracks?
Definitely do an ergonomic handle that can be adjusted for just about any brushes, so much easier and as far as I am aware no competition. Or rebrand Rosemary brushes just like someone else. Have a good one and keep away from that monkey gland nonsense.
So was your favourite backstreet boy Brian? Someone will be happy.. they have a christmas jumper with him on 😬
I haven’t decided yet! I’m leaning toward Brian!
@@MSPaints tick tock! 😂
I suspected you were alright, now I know it. Anyone who can name DS9 episodes is alright in my book. Though you forgot to mention Heart of Stone, and It's Only a Paper Moon. Two stand-out episodes for Nog.
I did! And battle of AR-something something. My bad. There’s too many good ones, and the perfect amount of great ones. And the Eddington stuff.
YOU BETRAYED YOUR UNIFORM!!!!!
@MS_Paints Man, if you ever find yourself in the Rockies, I'll buy you a drink. We'll have to watch The Visitor, just don't judge me. I've got allergies. Definitely allergies. Tony Todd told me he based his performance of Old Jake on a family member he had recently lost.
@@MSPaints oh! Also, merry Christmas, brother!
Hang on. So you're saying Hector didn't get sucked through a portal and didn't fight a Balrog? I've seen video evidence which says otherwise!
