I just bought a 2021 1500 Promaster that I will use for my wife who is totally disabled and needs reliable transportation to her doctor app. I have been specking out this Promaster with
pine, tongue & groove bulkheads, insulation, L-rails, q-straints, seatbelt lap belt, & commode. she cant stand or walk so a ramp is employed for the job of embark and debarkation but need a curb to do this safely. I might need to abandon the ramp if it proves to be a problem with loading for a wheel chair lift by Braun Ability at a later date. I am committed to the finish... If you were to spill something on these walls, the water would be able to run down the back of the boards. Might create mold problems. @@AnkeneyVanBuilds Hard to explain in words but if you think of the top part of the board as an 'L', the flat part of the 'L' goes against the wall. That way if water drips down the wall it enters the space between the boards but then would need to flow upwards to get behind the board. The way you have it installed, when the water drips down it will get to the gap, flow inward and then easily flow down the back of the board. I'm trying to find a good reference on the internet but no one seems to really talk about this. My house has ship-lapped siding and we're in the PNW and all the rain would get behind it if it was the other way around. I hope that makes sense.
