We wake up to crumpets as we get much needed haircare from the birthday girl herself, one of my father's artworks gets hung, as well as a mirror that's original to the chateau, and we conclude the day with fish & chips during Annalise's birthday party in the entrance hall...

I cannot fathom what they are going through but my discomfort and sadness can no way compare to those who are suffering in those countries. Me too!!! But I worry seeing that work away girl always lingering around Dan. I was concerned a few weeks ago and my husband noticed it too when I showed him. But then they announced they’re separated… which is such a shame 😔
I thought I was the only one who noticed. I certainly hope she’s not a home wrecker. If you watch the Chateau Life video when they went to Venice she was stuck like glue to Dan. That confirmed my suspicions.
Be careful - gossiping about others always comes home to roost. You/we don’t know the facts. Dan and Anna Lise have shown great maturity and putting their children first, separation or not. Stephanie on the rest of the château gang are lending their full support to this family. You would be wise to do likewise and not just be here for the gossip.

So nice to see Analees! I am coming to France in 3 months to drive around France to purchase a Chateau and I was hoping to employ her there. I am going to live there part time and set up a place for Cancer patients to come for free and stay for 3 weeks at a time. Have hair doen etc. I am looking in your area so I can convince you to work there on the hours you can around the kids....lol I will try and get your email through your families chanel.

What a generous hearted person you must be. Best of luck getting your project going. As a cancer survivor myself (just finished treatments last year) I can say that anything uplifting, however small, is so important in that stressful and debilitating time. This channel and a few other CZcams channels have been like therapy for me, and I'm so grateful for them.
@@calgram Good Evening Calgary. Thank you. I had always dreamed of having a chateau in France for my retirement. Then I also was diagnosed in 2020 and just finished treatments a few months ago. I have now rethought my dream on the Chateau to include a beautiful space for cancer patients that would like to get away at their convenience to forget about cancer, doctors and scans. As a fellow cancer patient, I as well have been getting lost every week in my Chateau You tube shows. I am very motivated to get this started earlier then expected. Here is to continuing our dreams. Fingers crossed! H

It was lovely to see Annelise happily enjoying her birthday party at Lalande. Stephanie and Amaury's hair looked fabulous.
In the old debate about nature versus nurture, I think when they blend in a positive way, people evolve. It seems everyone who becomes connected to Lalande develops mentally, physically and emotionally in a positive way. It's a joy to see this happen. Permanent residents, volunteers and visitors become part of the family and the community continues to expand. There is so much to admire about the community, the respect for individual privacy, the way the community respect each other, how everyone's contributions are appreciated, how personal and practical problems are solved etc I think one day in the future, someone will write a book about Lalande as an inspirational guide for developing communities in a positive way everywhere. You can use that sawdust in so many ways! Heating, in the garden to prevent weeds (you’ll want to add a nitrogen compound), in the cracks of the hardwood in the château, or use on the new pathways in the forest! Loads of uses!!

My husband would have replaned the wood also. He is a perfectionist when it comes to his making furniture, wall panels, tables, etc....He and Amorie are so much alike. I have realized over the years how blessed I am with my husbands craft. He can make me anything I want, any size, redo anything, build anything and it doesn't cost me anything but a few kisses....haha

We had one when I was a kid in SA in 1960/70. It came from Holland and it was the children's toothpaste holder in our bathroom. It was red with a smile 😃 on it. I'm 1st generation Dutch from Dutch parents 🇳🇱🇿🇦

FYI to keep your velvet upholstery looking new and fresh, use some baking soda, baby powder or corn starch on the fabric and with a small brush or tooth brush, work the powder into the fabric; leave overnight and vacuum ( or as you say, Hoover It ) the next day to remove dirt, dust and deeply soiled areas as the powder lifts the oils and dirt out of the velvet pile, since getting velvet wet is a disaster of an idea. Flip cushions frequently to keep the welting on the cushions from getting crooked and appearing to move off the edges of the cushions. Velvet wears really well, but it takes a lot of maintenance to keep it looking fresh!!
