Thank you for creating this tutorial!! Pyramid Head was one of my first cosplays back in 2014 and I've been wanting to revamp it SO badly!! When I made the sword, I used the exact insulation foam as you did but I also cut out a spot in the bottom to add a weight to to make the sword actually drag behind me when I walked with it. I also added these little spark things to the bottom of the sword (like you used to see on skateboards) so that when the sword dragged, it actually sent out sparks! Just wanted to through that out there in case anyone wanted to add the heaviness to their swords! Again, thank you for the tutorial! I cannot wait to redo my helmet because mine was blech lol
@Iconic Snipes' I added a metal weight into the hole where I removed the foam! Made it perfect to drag!

Woah, totally loved this video! I'm always so amazed, how much hot glue and random stuff throw together, ha ha! But the result turns out always awesome!!! Totally love the paint job here though and the weathering is just soooo on point! And cannot wait for more videos, Jeeeess!!! :)

For the knife, you'd probably want to have PVC pipe extend to the full length of the blade for durability. Also I think you can flatten the part of the pipe that goes into the blade a bit by heating it with the heatgun, while leaving the handle part round. That way it shouldn't bulge as much on the sides of the blade, requiring less covering.
Addendum: Nothing wrong with how the knife looks though. It looks great! ... Like a great... Knife. :P

I don't really do cosplay crafting myself. But I like seeing the creations that other people come up with.
Some days I've been thinking of giving it a go. It's just that i'm more into coming up with characters and designs entirely of my own invention as opposed to take inspiration from or replicating already established characters.
Would be sort of awkward to show up at a convention and people go "Uhm... Who are you cosplaying as?" and I wouldn't be able to name any game, anime or comicbook since there isn't one. XD

Yeah that's one of the techniques used when making something for larping since you'll be hitting people with your weapon. This comment makes me want to start a new larp club lol
@@sevenproxies4255 One thing though, flattening the pipe which goes into the knife might make it break from the handle. One of my big swords broke like in like 3 hours after taking it to the con.
I love watching your iterative process for the costume coming together. Gives me hope that I can make awesome stuff too.

I too live in Arizona, and high temp hot glues are my friend when I can't find the contact cement (it won't melt *as* easily) Also: When using contact cement on pleather, scuff up the contact area first before applying.

I made a pyramid head a few years back thinking that my friends and I are going to walk through Waikiki. Nope. They decided to go hit up the bar crawl that was being held in another area. So imagine how much of a bitch it was to be wearing that head piece and going to the bars with it. Building it was fun tho and it was a great conversation starter with everyone. Even got me free drinks because of how bad ass I made it to be.
I remember the past few months by playing as pyramid head because I was good at but not really

Pyramid Head happens to not only be my favorite horror game character but was my first ever cosplay. I went the silent hill 2 (the very best horror game ever made) route but this variation of the movie phead is incredible.

Since you asked for suggestions I think you could place a foundation, then a wall, ceiling on top, ceiling away from the foundation to avoid it's snap point, pillar in the middle, pillar in the bottom snap point and a foundation snapped to it. OH WAIT!
