Ik it's pretty disappointing that you can't play with all the characters but that's how modern games are usually.

If you're like me that only plays offline and pretty much just waits for the DLCs that have about 2 weeks of enjoyment, then it's a mixed bag.

I’m having a blast with it all over. I put over 500hrs into it when it was new, up until the second DLC… now we’re on PS5 and 17 DLCs later I’m having a blast, made a new character and everything

@@osama9501I realized after doing the math, even if you own the game, your best bet is to buy the ultimate edition which has every dlc except for 17, and as long as you catch it on sale (usually between 40-50$) it’s cheaper than buying the dlcs outright. Its almost 100 bucks to get them all. Soo yea starting as a past player now in 2024 is daunting to say the least. But man I’m having a blast with it all over again lol

Is still say it is. The gameplay is really solid, the character creation is good, the interactions with characters are really nice with many moves to put on your character, and there’s still a ton of content to play. My only real gripe with it is a that there’s SO MUCH DLC
Honestly the next Gen version should have had all the ones but the new ones to reward those who hadn’t upgraded till now.
Saying this as someone who’s bought them all before (Three different consoles) and want new people to enjoy some of the cool dlc stuff.

That's what makes it confusing cause there's so much stuff and some are in Pack A, or Pack B, but if you get Legendary Pack Z you get both Pack A and B

@@thedevilsleutice Doesn't the story of Xenoverse 2 continue on from Xenoverse 1? It wouldn't make sense from the story perspective to just skip 1 and jump straight to 2.

all the modes are nice but the problem is getting any match making when solo even with some popular things for players to do like the later emergency missions for tp farming
I remember being cracked at xenoverse 1 but xenoverse 2 I can't even figure out how to break the lvl 99 cap
Yes the content can be very steep especially the pricing but I do recommend it. It just adds hours on hours of extra content especially if you’re a new comer you have endless opportunities to do what you want whenever you want. And on a side note idk about other consoles but ps5 the dlc goes on sale pretty often so definitely wait and get them all at once

I finished the main game and most of the DLC but I’ve tried to get back into it a couple times in 2024 and I just can’t seem to get hooked ya know? I like Kakarot a lot and using the mods that have been created for it, just makes it so fun
This story DLC alone proved its way worth it.

Its fun for what kind if game it is. I will always prefer, Budokai Tenkaichi 1-3, Raging Blast 1&2, Budokai 1-3 along with which is technically the 4th one infinite world, and Burst Limit those are all far superior.

Yes. I bought it last year for my switch(for 16 dollars) and it's amazing, also i love the theme of turles and slug(it's really Turles's theme because it's the Saiyan drums of war)
I always come to this game and play it consistently for a couple months. It's not perfect but it really is a great Dragon Ball game. I don't think it gets the credit it deserves because it's lifespan has been so long, which is nothing but a positive to me. Definitely looking for to Sparking Zero tho. I just got Kakarot since it was on sale
I didn't have to have the PS4 version of the game to download my save file to the PS5 version. The game reads the data and ask you if you want to use it for PS5.
it depends on the person I still play this 8 years later and still very popular and i have 2,229 hours.yeah i played it a lot now 1 to 3 times i play it a week for 3 hours max.

As someone who finished all of Xenoverse 1 and had a sufficient amount of time with Xenoverse 2, I need to say it isn't worth it what with the pretty much guaranteed incomplete package due to the overwhelming amount of dlc and prices as well as necessity to grind for countless expensive in game items and moves. This is one of if not the most repetitive game I've ever played in my life. I will choose Tenkaichi 2 or 3 any day over this. Unless you're a diehard fan of DBZ that doesn't care if Battle of Z or even Ultimate Tenkaichi or Jump Force sucked (though I like them) then I would say this will not be worth it for you. This is my least recommended game and what I would genuinely classify as a waste of time unless you're asking for it as a diehard because there are much better dbz games out there and unless you didn't know them first for yourself then you might get fooled into loving this game.
I genuinely don’t know how people still enjoy this game. To each their own I suppose.
@@junior8239 When I first saw the trailers before the 1st one came out I was thinking it was going to be like how Kakarot turned out to be. Instead it felt kinda like a cheap and plastic version of Tenkaichi with RPG elements. I say this because the moves felt stiff and like hitting a barrier over and over again and it felt like a spam fest of special moves was necessary since they were more effective which is what people were known to do more than ever and got used to because of the grind. I also didn't like the look of the character models and felt like they were a downgrade from Raging Blast. I would've taken a Raging Blast 3 instead any day.
Saying this game is incomplete isn’t exactly like considering the game came out right at the beginning of the goku black anime all the most of the dlc is warrented we all wanted the new stuff after seeing it on the anime
@@snow6644 Not worth it and likely incomplete meaning in 2024 as a response to the title of the video, but even as literally how difficult it is to obtain all the dlc now. Also... when Xenoverse 2 came out it was basically a rehash of 1 with some minor additions for the most part. If I'm not mistaken there wasn't much content to differentiate itself and it was mostly treading on old ground as if it was a standalone expansion. I remember working towards the new content and asking myself "why does this feel like the same stuff, and why does it feel like I have to fish for new content" That game needed dlc and now that it has it, it's overwhelming and not easy to obtain. On top of that it's being milked soo hard it hurts.
You forget about the aspect you can create your own character. I see your points but no other dragonball game lets you create your dragonball avatar in the way xenoverse does. If thats something you love, xenoverse is your game. Thats what brings me back everytime.

if they wanted to they might as well put mecha frieza and 2nd form cell without needing to have DB Breakers. Hell why not the last two forms of Frieza. Lord Chilled, Tarble, ssj3 Vegeta and Broly, and Hatchiyak (i know they're not cannon). Where's Master Roshi😱Trio danger, Rosie and Kakunza, Androids 14/15/13 transformed, Coolers armored squadron, General Rildo and Ledgic.
I played xenoverse 2 this year it was fun and very interesting in my opinion.
I can’t, I have an account restriction to some of the new content the past couple years. I’ve gotten every move I can get, and I just don’t think releasing previous versions of characters we already have is a very good idea. The new story dlc might be nice, but 20$ for first form broly and videl and stuff just really didn’t matter to me anyway

I wish that for the last 3rd of the newest dlc story, had villainous Vegeta kill Frieza in resurrection F, and go on a rampage too spice things up, leading up to tournament of power and ending with goku, then finally tag teaming beerus. Also instead of just one Broly why not both. The second story was the best out of the 3 for me.Why isn't the new Zamasu Goku dlc.

Yea, but the only problem is the dam services and the broken ass build issues you might face with some players because they rarely update to Nerf the op moves or skills or broken z souls, but it does offer a lot of content especially with dlc addeding even more content to grind. I've been playing since the beta days in 2018 and still in 2024, so if you are a dragon ball, give it a try overall it not perfect, but it has it moments.

Is this game one on one mode? I mean you vs computer or is it just "open world"?
It’s more of a “hub-world” where you can interact with other DB characters (take on one or more as your mentor in fact for some) & close-by locals and objects you can interact with that take you into either story or “parrelel quests” that give you an “altered spin” if you will in the entire storyline of DB-DBS & even some of DBGT sprinkled in there as well.
I re-download the game but Jesus Christ I can’t win a single game in offline battle . I have 3 characters at lv 99 , and I remember before doing all missions without a sweat, and offline battles where like a walk in the park. But now I can’t even win a battle

Idk for me it's actually easier not using ai teammates, cause 2 of them could be fighting one opponent, while 2 of the enemy are jumping you

I used to play it and mastered it, but then Kakarot came out, got used to the simpler controls and now I'm lazy to relearn xenoverse.
Personally, I was never very engaged when I tried playing xv2. Could never really put my finger on why but I simply bounced off.
The PVE is amazing with friends
The game is 100% worth it, but you'll be grinding a LOT. Hopefully, the devs make the new STP Medals alleviate much of the grinding process. Getting to level 140 is a monumental task as it is, and it seems level 199 is gonna be the permanent cap by the end of the Future Sage DLC.
This and spanking zero is going to be great time for db on ps5 , especially for many reasons of the ps5 hopefully some denuvo, those who love fighter z will enjoy all 3, i would say it would be the start of the best era of db gaming , if bandai could franchise a burst limit 3 , dragonball breakers on ps5 and or part 2,more kakarot or kakarot part 2 , than that would definitely be the best era so far of db gaming rest in peace Toriyama Akira💪 ,and even db diama would be around soon enough

I bought XV2 a couple years ago but i just feel so behind compared to other players 😂😂 this game has a shit ton of content for sure. I got hooked into Kakarot though, i love single player RPGs.

@@bobby_ironman Wrong, there's masters to train with and unlock different skills, theres over a 100 Parallel Quests in the base game, there's also Time Rifts and Expert Missions as well. Plenty to do in the base game

It 1000% is, although you’ll definitely have to buy dlc for the best experience but if you’re smart you can almost always get dlc packs for half the price with sales

As someone who has been playing the game since the beginning I’d say it’s definitely worth getting into. I’m not saying that just because I’m a fan. It’s an old game but there are plenty of updates made to it so you know it’s still people playing it. It may seem a lot to get into but if you start off with the base game then it’s not really complicated; everything else like online lobby or DLC is for when you finished the base game and looking for more content. The game is often on sale, right now it’s 50% off on XBox. The worst case scenario is spending $10 which really isn’t bad.

I just started playing around the end of December and it was fun asl. The part that kinda ruins it is when I noticed you gotta grind and do repetitive missions just to unlock certain things and most of it was just based on luck if you can get it. And the dlc I’ve never bought but even the base game is fun asl and I still haven’t finished everything yet besides the main story. I’ll say yes for a dbz fan but if you just want everything from dlcs and extra side stories then you gon have to buy it

As someone that picked xenoverse 2 up is 2024, it is not worth it. I got the super dlc pack and once I finished all the base and super pack content I was pestered to buy more dlc. The pve is boring and the pvp is trash. Don’t waste your money on this cashgrab and just wait for sparking zero to come out.

It's a good game but a lot of issues.
-Not every character has the ability to charge ki which is stupid imo.
- cpu doesn't transform into ssj
- You can't transform into Ultra instinct Goku or evolved blue Vegeta, You must choose separately with them already transformed
- You can't change aura's for characters
- You can't change your Cac's name
- You can't change Your character's combos, You're forced with the moveset they give You
- They could add more hairstyles and facial hair but never did
- Whenever You create a new character You start with that character with the lowest level and All characters are once again locked and You gotta do story with PQ quests all over AGAIN! WTF!? My most hated thing from this series
- modders online
- You're cac doesn't talk in the story, ultimate tenkaichi did it better.
- You can't transform You're character into ssj4, ssj rose
- Missing characters like second form cell, second and third from frieza wtf dimps and bandai?
- can't play World Tournament unless it's online and it's not always open smh.
so yes no way near the top for me. the ps2 and even 3 handle things better than did game did. It's a good game but it's too stressful with these issues for me lol.
