Shock G , Greg Jacobs , Humpty Hump once had a relationship with me Amanda Rushing. We met when I was 19 years old in 1990. Some of my best memories in the whole wide world were with Greg. The last we saw each other was 2002 at the key Club in West Hollywood , he acted weird and rude. He told me as soon as he walked in the room after saying what he said, he felt sick to his stomach. We spoke Feb 2021. THIS WAS MADE IN FEB 2021. He apologized for what he said and wrote me a cute song about it. He passed away today April 22 2021. I was putting my socks on today to go to the gym. I put one on looked over next to me to get the other one and there was an extra sock there. Shock left me a sock, he loved to rhyme!! Did you notice what it says in his mirror in the end??? it says please don’t leave (. ) need you here!! He wanted me to share this. 🙏🏻
I’m not sure if this was the last video he ever sent, but this is the last video that he sent to me on my phone in text message in February 2021. I have more videos too! This was the last one!

I accepted his apology over the phone after he sent me this video. He sent it knowing he wouldn’t be here long. He wanted me to share this memory and keep up his Legacy! I love you Greg. Some of my best memories in the whole wide world were with you thank you for that!

my dad died 5yrs b4 her. I try an look at different bc she had Crohn's disease she was miserable she had to take chemo and after she died I dreamed of her the next day and she was so beautiful and she told me stuff that was going on now like she was talkin to me and she told me she was miserable here on Earth and plus she know I'm an empath so she knew that I was going to talk to her sooner or later lol.. missing them is the hardest part but I ain't lose nothing I actually gained a lot of wisdom and faith. It do show how cruel the world is when they leave. Again thank u..

This is really deep on soo many levels. He has always been a favorite of mine. I was listening to his music alot before his passing. When I heard, it was like a bit of my childhood/teen yrs died too. Had the honor of meeting him after a show in Omaha and was so humbled by how real and genuine he was. Actually gave me the jacket off his back and signed it bc he knew how much I loved his music. Had a beer or two and a good conversation with him and it was like a surreal experience for me. You could just hear his soul in his music-was so talented. I wore that jacket for a couple Haloweens proudly along with the nose and glasses and can't believe I lost track of it a few years later in a move. RIP and love Shock ❤👊✌

Thank you for sharing this with us all. Shock G is my number 1 influence as a young kid and it never faded away. I remember the day I found out he was on IG, it was so awesome. Then one day he wasn't any longer. If memory serves me right it was right around the time of this video. DAMN. I hated the news I heard the other day. I had the utmost pleasure of being an opening act for him and Money B in 2006 at The Soho in Santa Barbara, CA. It was an amazing show and Shock and Money B lived up to every expectation I could have ever had. I am so thankful to have met Greg Jacobs, have him telling some great stories, hanging out and just being such an awesome dude. Thank you again for sharing this video. #ripshockg

T.be real...thsts cause they, themselves, grew up in a time without social media. So they dont frequent it.so you have to hear about them the old school way, just like they were used to hearing about people they grew up liking.
A 36, I see a lot of my generation is a mix. I, myself, rarely ever on social media, whereas a few others are in between and some..SOME of us are on it more than the kids we have.
The excuse of those of us ot on it, is basically the fact we grew up without it and we just dont see the importance of it. We had connection with people just fine before and feel this new way is actuallya bit too intrusive.
