Rafael left no doubts about the result in his mind.
The close fight went the way of Parker on the independent international judges' cards 114-114, 115-113, 115-113 and statistics released back up their decision. They showed that Parker was the busier and more successful fighter with his hand work.

@glhunt86 Joseph Parker won the fight but Andy Ruiz wasn’t fully fit owing to his trainer being unavailable & the fight being scheduled earlier than Andy Ruiz requested. But seeing how the fight went Andy Ruiz would almost certainly have won it had he been able to get proper training & the date that he requested.

If Ruiz looked off his game I would agree that maybe things could have been better for him but Ruiz looked great for Ruiz in this fight he just couldn't hurt Parker enough to take this close fight.

Awesome fight, Ruiz accomplished a lot since that fight, and Parker at the moment has a good streak of wins... Maybe there is gonna be a rematch in the future, who knows.

To be fair, it wasn't his fault that he didn't really have any decent opponents to fight, but when you add his dull style on top of it, it just turned fans away from the heavyweight division.
