Watching the love and respect between you and your husband calms my soul. My mother used to make these for my brothers and me when she wanted a quick meal that she knew we loved, but she would cut a slit in the hot dogs or sausages and fill the slit with a stick of sharp cheddar cheese then rolled and baked them until the crescent rolls were toasty brown and the cheese was melted -- so delicious and I still make them to this day, especially during football season. Thanks for spreading the love - and the recipes! I could watch your videos all day. 😊

Next time you cook cabbage, cook the entire head, and take the leftovers, drain off any liquid, add a can of cream of celery, a little melted butter, and half a block of Velveeta cheese and top with some Ritz crackers and bake until it’s bubbly and the crackers are browned. I heat my soup and cheese together until the cheese is completely melted.

You have such a sweet Spirit about you & it reminds me of my Granny Lula Bell. I'd spend my summers with her & Papa Charly. They had a small farm.
    I loved that she'd
let me help her cook & tended to the animals. She had chickens, pigs & cows.
She had a few goats that she'd milk and she'd make this homemade lye soap. She'd also make soap from goat's milk.
She taught me so much. Like growing vegetables in the garden. Plus she loved flowers. She had beautiful flowering bushes.
The air in the summertime was intoxicating.
I remember the different aromas from the gardenias, lilacs, honeysuckle & Jasmine.
Lot of great memories. Watching you today made all those memories come flooding back. Your voice was just like hers
Anyway, I use crescent rolls with my polish sausage too. My family just calls 'em sausage rolls but Hogs 🐷 in a sleeping bag is really cute. 😁
My son loves hot links so occasionally I'll use them.
With the hot link I boil them like you did the sausages.
Hot link skins can be little tough so it pull off. To me it makes it easier to eat.
Btw I subscribed to your channel & hit like button.

Thank you Karen, this is my kind of meal too. My mom used to make pigs in a blanket with sausage links and pie pastry. We all loved them, especially my brother, so she would bake them 30 or 40 at a time so there would be leftovers for him to take to work in his lunch box. That was always his favorite. I am assuming these were the Eckrich skinless sausage that you have told us about. Am I correct? I'll have to get a can of the crescent rolls. Y'all have a Blessed day. Good luck fishing this week end.
