This is so sad. I don't like this show. Playing with idols' feelings for entertainment and then separating them and not allowing to date. They must've developed feelings for each other after staying together for a long time.

From my understanding, any "relationship" is orchestrated by the agency. It's one of the biggest issues with being an Idol, not being able to experience true romance until your contract is up.

Out of all the episodes of this show, this is by far the most genuine relationship. Joy really does have a special relationship with Sungjae, and there is no denying that. I mean, you can tell that this couple was literally meant to be. I have never seen such a heart-warming couple on We Got Married like these two.

It's very clear that Joy and Sungjae grew close during the course of the show and developed a real bond. I sometimes see people say that this was just acting, but I think you actually diminish their true friendship that was the foundation of why they were so great on the show and why people still appreciate them. Who knows what the future will hold, maybe one day they will date or maybe they won't. But regardless there's no need for anyone to disregard their connection just because you don't like a ship. This was a meaningful time for both of them, and I am glad they got to experience so many special moments through being on the show. I wish them all the happiness in the world as individuals too, they're both really good and kind people.

towards the end, you can see Sungjae looking up to try and hold back his tears. DaMN chIEF that huRTED. I hate that they may never be realigned to meet again. Sooyoung coming from a Big 3 company while Sungjae probably at the time wasn't as popular with BTOB at Cube. Joy and sungjae were called to be couples solely for this show but at the end, they fell in love with each other, but after their time together finished, they had to part ways and it was really heartbreaking since the show is tearing apart two lovebirds who genuinely love each other. And the sad thing is that the couples on the show aren't allowed to date later on as it's a part of the contract. This show is basically pairing two people together, making them fall in love and later tear them apart and give them a bad ending. This show is terrible because it plays with the celebrity's hearts. But fortunately, it got canceled.

@@maddyar55 they were on show called 'we got married'. The show is about that they send two idols/actors to meet each other and pretend like they're couple and then "married". It's so sad bcz it's possible that they really fall in love with each other. Like they were forced to pretend like they're couple and then they wanted them to pretend like if it never happens. Or that's what I understand from watching those episondes. So sad :(

Joy isn't the type of girl who cries freely, she cries when something really good or really sad happens. Her tears here are GENUINE, and to those who said Sungjae must have not felt the same as her obviously doesn't know his personality and heart as well. He has always been the kind of guy who couldn't express his feelings well. When things get too serious or too intimate he puts up the jokester act or laughs. That's his defense mechanism when he's too scared or shy to show his true feelings to Joy. It was until their Hainan honeymoon when he finally told her in his own way of his feelings. He even sang a song for her (which is his way to easily express himself to Joy).
Sungjae had to be the strong one even though he's hurting on the inside. He even said in the interview, he didn't know if she would cry and he wanted to see her cry because she didn't cry at the previous surprise event he did for her. But when he was singing and saw her crying, his heart hurt.

wanderlust - many idols apparently have a dating ban so they cant date. i guess this goes on during their busiest times and until theyve really 'made it' in the industry and become successsfull. even if it wasnt the case, many are so busy they wouldnt have time and schedules would over lap so it would be hard to see each other

It’s Dec 2017 and I found my way back here. I’m still glad that Joy confirmed through her video message to Sungjae on Oppa Thinking that they should keep staying close and that she’s always cheering on her Oppa. It goes to show that these two as well as their respective groups are genuine and friendly people. Just because WGM ended doesn’t mean their friendship or their family ship as Eunkwang said will end. Until this day, BTOB is one of the male idol groups Red Velvet feel comfortable around excluding their SM labelmates. They feel really at ease around BTOB and I’m just really happy they still are good friends. You know how back in the day WGM couples or their groups barely interact after the show. Thank you BTOB and Red Velvet for interacting and proving that the family ship is still going strong. ❤️

exo's aeris This was Sungjae and Joy’s last episode as a couple in WE GOT MARRIED. It’s a variety show that pair up korean idols, actors, comedians, and tv personalities. Idols pairing up was very minimal cuz of the amount of hate or criticism idols get for being together. It’s usually actors x actress or idol x comedian and etc. But when the PDs interviewed Joy for the variety show, they knew they found a perfect match for Sungjae. Personality match and even the sense of humor which was shown throughout their time in WGM. Sungjae and Joy’s first episode aired in June 2015 and they had to say goodbye to each other in May 2016...almost a year! They became a very beloved WGM couple that’s why a lot fans of these two can’t move on from them. This episode especially was heartbreaking because as you can see both of them didn’t want to say goodbye to each other. As Sungjae said, they have gotten closer to each other. They still wanted to do a lot of things together on their bucket list. So they did this last concert and dedicated songs to each other. Joy also surprised Sungjae with a bday surprise and they recalled on their memories together. It was emotional and this song Sungjae was singing is “Hug Me”. Sungjae is known for not being the typical romantic. He’s the playful trickster husband, but the songs describes his feelings for him cuz he’s not an expressive guy...especially when it comes to love and relationships. He’s very old school, but his actions mostly speak for him than what he says. Joy is a full out romantic..and very affectionate and vocal. So sometimes she thinks that Sungjae is too playful and not serious. However, she realized all the things he’s done for quietly..and sees that Sungjae is actually quite considerate and manly. Because of his playful image..she always thought he can’t be romantic Sungjae. But actually really is sweet in his own ways and also he was starting to open up emotionally..unfortunately it was near the end.

Saphira Hoch because WGM is a cruel variety show lol! In the end the couples’ know that they have to say goodbye. Older and more experience couples like older idols or actors even comedians can prepare themselves better. They can easily express their feelings, but Sungjae and Joy really came in as fresh young adults who never really been in a serious relationship..especially marriage. So watching these two was basically watching them coming of age as a couple. They weren’t overly cringeworthy and cheesy. They were awkward, but in a very cute way cuz they were the youngest couple in WGM history. For me, you can tell that Sungjae and Joy were genuine and just had fun the whole time and grew closer to each other. They’re feelings are very transparent as you can see in this video. So yes, it sucks that every couple has to break up and say goodbye. But that’s how the show works and they knew they would have to end their virtual marriage. But as Joy told Sungjae via video message on Oppa Thinking, they’ll continue being close and support each other along the way. I think some couples create a good friendship afterwards.

Don't get me wrong, i'm happy for Crush and Joy. As long as the new couple is happy and in love, I support them.
It's just that as a fan of the Bbyu Couple, there's no denial that what they felt were real and I held onto them for years, but of course, everything has an end and it turns out that it is time to let go of these two and let them be happy on their own ways.

I love this couple so much. They might not be as romantic as other couples but thats what makes them realistic to me. They showed progress, as individuals and as a couple. Really young love.

I saw this video and decided to watch WGM for the first time. I finished 45 episodes of SungJae and Joy within a week. Unlike many who have follow WGM I can't compare this couple with others, but there's one thing I know for sure, I fell in love them.
It broke my heart when SungJae started epi 45 by saying that it'll be the last of SungJae and Joy.
Couldn't bring myself to accept that's the end of it.
It felt as heartbroken as if I've truly broken up with someone I love.
When Joy said this song (Hug me) is singing about something she could never do again as a wife, my heart sank.
Joy has such a beautiful heart. I will forever remember this couple. They are truly very special.
