  • Solo harp interpretation of this beautiful Japanese melody on my beloved Teifi Eos. Because the cherry blossoms are out and I couldn't resist ;) If you like this arrangement, and would like to try it for yourself, the sheet music is available here:

    I thought you imitated the koto quite well! Would have loved to see more of that string bending, never seen that on a lever harp before.

    Tamsin , You are the chosen soul keeper of the harp ..one of the few who will take the harp to the next level ...
    In the initial part i was listening with my eyes closed and i felt someone was playing it like a Santoor ....

      That's very kind of you to say - thank you so much! ;) I'm just very pleased you liked the music :) I had to look up the Santoor - what a beautiful instrument! I'd love to have a go at a harp with wire strings, it would sound even closer...!

    I particularly enjoyed the zen in this piece. In fact, I experienced it AS a devotional piece. And so ends my zen tea-break as I get back to practicing so that one day I may be able to play this! Thank you for the further inspiration.

    If you didn’t understand me I actually said:

      Salut! Merci beaucoup de tes paroles si gentils :D Je me suis servie du microphone qu'on peut (juste) voir dans le vidéo - c'est un Zoom H4N, avec le niveau d'enregistrement pas trop haut (vers 40, je pense, mais je ne m'en souviens trop, désolée!). Le son c'est 'nature'; je ne l'ai pas de tout modifié après, c'est juste que ma harpe a beaucoup de résonance et j'ai placé le micro pour essayer de la capturer le plus possible. Je suis très contente si j'y suis arrivée! :D

    • @TamsinDearnley
      @TamsinDearnley  Před 4 lety +5

      Hello! The harp is tuned in A minor (same levers as for C major) for this piece :) So if your harp is tuned in Eb, you need to engage your E, A and B levers. Hope this helps! There aren't any lever changes, which is nice ;)
