Its cool to see a new rider starting on a 600 raw. We felt your nervousness
luis laurencio I’m 16 my first bike was a gsxr750 and the one I have now is a cbr1100
Nice. My first bike was a sv1000. Was so nervous lol. Now it seems normal though
I am most likely going to start on a 600 but not a gixxer bc they don’t have abs
To be completely honest, this is how your first time riding should be. Much respect. I bought my first motorcycle and had someone ride it home for me then taught myself how to ride over the weekend. I didn't even know you had to shift gears. Didn't take the MSC till a year later to get my license. But, no accidents and 2 motorcycles later, I'm still here. Great vid!
What’s going on. I’m 17 and I’ve been riding for two years. The amount of self-control you had to have to handle a bike like that the way you did is amazing. It’s really hard for most people to not just get out on the road and rip it. I hope you continue the series. I enjoyed it very much. Rock on
Thank you very much! I love this bike and finally being able to ride. Always riding to have fun and to ride again tomorrow
@@liveresin9000 oh yeh, did you have a fucking r1 as a walker when you were 3 as well?
My first bike I road with my biker buddy to go get it and road it back like 30 min away never road a motorcycle or dirt bike or anything that has to shift lol it was a Kawasaki ninja 650. Super nervous but was hitting 120 the 2nd day I had it 🤘🤘
kunwar Bhullar lmao nah ion like Yamaha. If u don’t believe me checkout my ig. @nathan.shuford
Dude literally just finished my MSF course today. Did a lot of research and I settled on getting the GSXR as my first bike so this video hit home. Really helps
That's awesome! Can start in "B mode" I haven't done so, just take it easy at first and enjoy
@@bikelife4537 Finally got the bike yesterday. It was my first time driving on the road and I had to take the highway home. Was a bit scary but I made it home safely, didn't go over 60mph on the highway and rode in "B mode" the entire time.
@@EndingGamertag Yup, I actually settled on an R6. Next month will be 2yrs since the purchase.
@@EndingGamertag Nice man, make sure you post about it, I'll be looking out for it for sure.
Respect. I'll be getting mine soon if i don't die from covid
Are we thinking of the same GSXR
The one I’m looking at is 2008 GSX-R 600 with a Coffman shorty exhaust
I like how careful he was when he first got on it he treat it like a baby
“Bike life”. I know this video is quite old now, but I just wanted to say WOW!! This is such a great video for a first time upload! I can’t wait to see what you do in the future. Just keep working hard and keep that great mindset that you have and you’re gonna do awesome you definitely got a new sub today!!
Absolutely love how candid and honest you are, I’m in the same position and nervous about the process. This is the first video help ease my nerves. I appreciate you my man
Love it bro! Never lose that fear and you'll be great! Always have respect that bike!
True, people start crashing when the loose fear and respect for the bike...they stop learning and think they have everything figured out...
I know this vid is 3 years old - but VERY refreshing to see a newbie plan, save, take MSF, get good gear, start with feathering the clutch to get a feel, and most importantly RESPECT the bike. 🤘🏻☮️
For any other new street riders thinking of getting a gsxr 600, it was my first street bike as well. I grew up riding dirt bikes mainly 125’s and as long as you have some discipline and throttle control you’ll be fine. Just always stay focus and you’ll be fine.
I needed to see this! I got my license a year ago and I’ve been doing the same thing you did. Researching, shopping for my gear and watching so many videos! I also had to get a storage because I live in the city. Thanks for sharing!
Glad I stumbled across your videos .. I’m looking to buy a bike soon and thinking of getting a gsxr 600 as my first bike.. so I’m thankful you decided to this to encourage and give knowledge
Huge respect man...took the MSF last year and been learning on a ninja 300 for a bit over a month now...your approach is truly the right way by just taking it at your own pace...been doing that myself.
From a first time riders perspective! Appreciate the rawness/ realness bro 🤝💯
Thanks for your advice! After having my license for a year I bought my first bike a black 2020 GSXR600 in August 2020! I watched all your videos and they helped me tremendously! I’m still riding today having the best time! Hope you’re doing well 😊
cool vid and great to see you taking your time and being cautious, i will be getting a 600 as my first propper bike once this covid monsense is over, great to see more people getting into bikes, ride safe and stay safe.
I'm glad I found this video. I'm turning 40 in April and told myself for years since I was 17 that I wanted a bike. My brother and I both wanted one. He literally stop procrastinating and taught himself like you did now a year later he's a Harley guy with a big group of friends who also rides. I'm a GSXR guy so thanks for inspiring.
That's awesome! I know how hard it is to fully commit and do it but its a challenge, fun, and rewarding if you stick with it. Thanks for watching and good luck to you.
All I can say is thank you.. you have answered all of the questions I ask myself every time I jealously see a biker go by and remember that I have had my moto-license for a year and a half with no bike activity so far.... THANK YOU😎😎
Glad to help! It was a long process for me with many things holding me back. Very happy with my bike now and was worth the wait.
Man I'm excited for u I bought my 08 600 dropped it a couple of times because my driveway is gravel and the other time was doing a u turn i grabbed the throttle a lot in the beginning without fully realizing its great to see a smart rider on CZcams
Thank you, yeah trying my best to be safe and be smart. Having a lot of fun learning
Great video. Just what I needed to see. Thank you 🙏
Man this video really helps. I appreciate it. Hoping I can get my bike soon. You got a sub today
I am 16, I have a really big interest in riding and just the bike lifestyle and I want to own a bike when I get a bit older, and seeing someone start from nothing is exactly what I've been looking for in videos and now I have found someone doing that, I can't wait to see more! Keep doing what you're doing man!👍
Its a really fun hobby/lifestyle, have to respect it and the public roads but stuff everybody already knows. I was just like you and its worth the wait
This is exactly what I’m tryna do. I love you for posting this video.
😂🤣Lol, love it! I never ridin anything other than a mountain bike and that was in my teen years. At 39 i decided to get my endorsement and on Nov 10, 2023 took my 2 day MSF course and passed on the 2nd day and on Dec 10, 2023 Purchased my 1st bike 2023 Kawasaki ZX6R (Non ABS) and have only 350 miles under my belt, thank GOD i made the decision to start riding.
Love the video man, this is helping me out for my first ride also when I get my bike 💯 thanks and I will be watching your journey
BIKE LIFE! Great video! Appreciate you capturing and sharing your first experience on the bike; especially the bit you share while driving. Subscribed!
I bought my gsxr 600 when I was 22. I'm 35 now and still have the same bike. I had been riding dirt bikes for 10 years so I had the advantage of being very familiar with the controls but that's really the only thing that translates between a dirt bike and street bike. They are very different.
Anyway, the main thing I want to say is don't ever get TOO comfortable riding on the street. I've never been down yet but I've had plenty of times where I've made mistakes that could have ended badly just because I had become complacent with my abilities.
Obviously the most dangerous thing about riding on the street is the other drivers so being aware of the vehicles surrounding you is priority number 1. Not to be dramatic but the mindset I try to keep is 'if that car tries to kill me where am I going to avoid it?'. You have to try to predict trouble before you're in it. The more experience you get the more you know what to look out for but I still have plenty of times where things happen that I didn't see coming.
I'm not sure how helpful this was but hopefully somewhat. Be safe and have fun cuz that's what it's all about.
That's really cool you still have the same bike. Thanks for watching and sharing. All comments are helpful and appreciated.
Sick vid, I’m gonna watch the others to see your journey 😎
I’m planning on getting a bike as well once I turn 16 , I’m gonna try to get my license. Watching you take it slow really encourages me to do the same and be safe , loved this video and it was really helpful !!
Thank you so much for this video. I’m soooo nervous about getting my first bike but this is exactly what I’m going to be doing. Buying one without fully knowing lol tysmmm
Thanks for sharing your experience, new rider here as well. Videos have been real helpful.
Bought a 89 virago 1100 a few weeks back. My nervousness brought me here 😂 great honest video, nice to see someone else new learning
What’s amazing is how easy they are to ride, super sports always inspire confidence, the handling is so precise
By far the best training video so far glad i came across this video
Wow I might seriously consider to buy a bike now after watching this video , thanks for making this👍🏽

Hey bro, im 15 now and planning on getting GSXR 600 in like 6 months when im 16, how was it riding for the first time being a kid? was it easier or harder than expected?
@@Sturdy6 Hey bro, im 15 now and planning on getting GSXR 600 in like 6 months when im 16, how was it riding for the first time being a kid? was it easier or harder than expected?
@@colbyclark2479 It was not that difficult because I have ridden dirt bikes before, the only thing I was a bit nervous but that's because it is a 1000cc and not a 600, I think a gixxer 600 is the best bike to start off with
Congratulations on the new motorcycle it's very encouraging I'm a new Rider as well ride safe.
Watching all your videos!
I'm not new to riding. I watched because l wanted to see your perspective on first time.. A year later hope your still with the same bike.
Made my mind up! (Just subscribed) As I've watched a few of your videos the last couple days and gonna get the 600, for my first ever bike. Thanks for the videos Big Homie
Thanks for joining and you'll love it! Take your time and ride in your comfort level but that's awesome! :)
Beautiful bike man! Going to look at a 06 GSXR 600 on Tuesday. Cant wait!
Very cool to bring us with you on this.
I will start riding soon. GSXR Thanks for sharing
Yo thank you so much man! I'm in the exact situation took the course when I was 16 and I'm 21 now but I have the money to buy a bike, gave me comfort knowing I'm not the only one in this situation, looking to get a gsxr600 too!
Just got into 🏍️ community like months ago and i cant wait to start on a gsxr 600 taking the course first for sure this video excites me cause i feel you!
Subbed for support! Always fun to see these videos. There's to few of them in my opinion.
This can definitely be useful for people who want to get into riding or are nervous as well.
Will be fun seeing more videos and see your growth.
I`m 16 and getting a GSXr600 ones I finish motorcycle license, I've rode all sorts of bikes my whole life wish me luck :)
Good for you man, welcome to the bikers community.
Ride safe!
Hell yess brother I’m literally on the same boy rn I just got my gsxr 600 and have been doing what your doing here for the past couple days to get use to the bike and eveyyhing
Dude thank you so much for the detailed videos that you upload, I'm 5'4 and I'm getting a Ninja 650 as my first motorcycle never ride before and these videos are amazing thank you.
Raw videos much respect dude!! I on the same boat right now
I just bought a 2020 ZX6R, I too am a 1st time buyer. Went the same path as you (MSF then long time after). Your videos have inspired me.
Im getting my bike today maybe an R6 or CBR 600RR and your video’s are coming in clutch. Keep it up bro
Getting my permit soon then buying my first bike. This was a great video especially for a beginner. I felt like I was genuinely having my first experience just watching. Beautiful bike and great vid
Nice video.
Thanks.
I was a dummy and spent 3 weeks in a parking lot and thought I was road ready. 2 weeks later I high sided around a turn and broke my wrist and tore my knee up. Props to learning slow.
Did you take a safer course prior to riding? I’m looking in to riding but with covid have to search high and low for a class.
Passed class!!! Been on the freeway over 20 times. I whiteline going 60 plus. It’s amazing how fast you improve. I just need to work on cornering at high speeds.
That’s awesome bro I’m still a beginner and my first bike is a Cbr600rr. You’ll be nervous around corners till you’re used to it but it’s great feeling once you are bro! Ride safe my bro
i bought a z900rs with no previous experience, great starter bike!, thanks for the video
Congrats on your bike. I just bought my dream bike 2 months ago , CBR 600RR. Barely learning to ride but it's awesome
My first was a 2007 GSXR 600 blue/black in 2011 and I still have it today. I love it and it's very comfortable. Has plenty of go where it's wanted.
Hi. Just brought my first bike...only a small bike . Honda cb125f. Doing what you are doing. Going slow, learning my bike. Love watching you progress. Thanks for your video.
Keep doin your thing man. These are the kinda videos folks really need. Kinda stuff for was looking for when I started riding, but there were none around.
This is like the 5th video of yours that I've seen and I send them to a homie of mine who's about to buy his first bike in the next couple of months. Thanks for sharing your experience. ~Peace
Thank you!
Yeah I always searched for stuff like this so wanted to make some videos right away and show first hand.
Can’t wait to purchase my first bike 🏍 very cool video! Found this very informative 😎🤓
Thanks for the vid bro! Looking at a used gsxr600 I found locally on Craigslist and your vid helped. Cheers. Ride safe
I learned riding at 11 yrs old, got my first small bike at 17 and i have been driving ever since til today. "Learning manual is complicated at first. Just need alot of patience learning it step by step. Keep it up! Enjoy riding your bike!
I loved all the details …👍❤🇵🇸
Props to you. My first was a 2008 SV650. Torqueyer and twitchier. I bought it before I even knew how to ride. Had to have a friend ride it home for me. I taught myself how to ride and dropped it the first time I tried and got scraped up pretty bad. But getting back on it was everything. Self taught lessons are always sketchy but you can do it if your mature about it. Never drop another bike since the SV650. Had a CBR F4i after that bike and I have 2012 GSXR750 now.
Congratulations on your new bike mate. 🙂
Hey how r u doing rideing ur bike ? Do u think if someone never rode a bike won't to start on a 600 long as he don't hit the throttle but I can drive a stick shift
I just bought a gsxr today. Never rode a bike before but I'm glad I stumbled upon your videos. It was nice watching the videos and seeing you progress
How it’s going ? Lol I just got my first bike get it delivered Wednesday.. BTW I’m not a girl
Great bike Mitch!.... Congrats brother!
looking to purchase also a gxsr glad i located your channel will be following your steps and tips my friend good luck👍
nice going bud, keep on keeping on!
Awesome video! Got a suzuki dr200 for my first bike! Just taking it slow riding up and down my street. It's nice to see a vid that starts from day 1.
Thank you! Want to try and make videos that I would always search for when shopping for my bike
i just bought a 2006 gsxr 600 as my first bike, ive road dirt bikes but never a street bike, but i got the hang of it really fast! im in love with it now!
I'm thinking about getting a cycle license myself its good to see this video and the nervousness your feeling
I love you video man it reminds me of the day I fetched my brand new 2017 gsxr750 from the dealer was nervous as you are but 3 years later 24 000km .I've never had a single accident or incident...good luck!!!
I bought a 2005 gsxr 600 3 weeks ago i love it
Got a new sub. Mad respect brother . Keep being cautious. Baby steps is key.
That’s a beautiful bike.. Love it in white..
Good video. I purchased my first gsx-r 600 two three weeks ago.
Amen great Advice im thinking to buy one and I don’t know how to ride yet
Gorgeous bike mate and really good to see I'm actually in a similar position I passed 4 years ago rode for a year then I've had 3 years off a bike in the process of trying to get another. It's a little different in england because I had no bike experience I couldnt ride a full powered 600 or above until I was over 24 where i had to do another 2 tests. All the best and ride safe :)
Loving the colors
You got a new subscriber, bro! Great video, and you seem to be a great human. Keep working! Great work! Thanks and regards from RJ BRAZIL!
This makes me realize how much I can’t wait to get my bike in two months 😁
I just bought my first bike in q2 years since I rode last. It a 05 gsxr 600 and it wasn't in good shape cosmetically but that gave me a chance to tear it down and rebuild it and put new fairings and tune up, brakes, stator and rectifier and it took me 2 months. Engine ran good so that all that mattered to me now it looks brand new..
Crazy man this is my dream bike, seeing someone who is in the exact situation as me I want a 600 and haven’t ever rode a bike and plan on getting my motorcycle license next year because I’m going to UTI to be a motorcycle tech and I’ll need to have it to test drive the bikes there but I’ll probably get a 300 for the year that I’m there and then sell it after the year and get a 600 back at home. It’s terrifying just thinking about the process of getting the bike and learning how to ride it, the video was definitely not boring it’s relieving to see someone else go through a similar experience it’s very reassuring. Great video!!
Bruh I have cash in my lap rn looking at bike just don’t know what to get but I’m going to look at a r6 tomorrow!!!keep up the vids!!!just got a new sub
Congrats bro! It's such an awesome feeling isn't? I bought my 2019 Ninja 650 Aug of '19 ( first motorcycle) and I had it delivered also, my dealer only charged me $25 for delivery though, sorry to tell you 😆. I'm only 15-20 mins away as well. I think they could have given you a better price, but oh well, you have it now. Man, the feeling though watching your brand new bike pull up.. It's freaking awesome! Now I have just over 2500 miles on my bike now, I ride almost everyday now that the weather is nice. I even rode in cold weather I was so excited 😂
I've ridden dirt bikes and quads for years so I am real used to riding stuff, but never in traffic before I got my bike. Keep practicing, always wear your gear no matter how hot it is out and stay safe brother, good luck 👍
Thank you! they ended up not even charging me, was nice of them.
loving the bike still
Great video! If only I had my go pro the day I picked up my first bike! The nerves are so raw! Give yourself a year and you’ll ride like you were made for it!
I remember not knowing how to ride a motorcycle and going to the dealership and getting my first bike Kawa 600 ninja. Signed all the papers and the salesman put my keys in his pocket and said "OK I'll see you here everyday you get off work for 2 hours for a week and I am going to teach you how to ride it. You can get your key when I am comfortable and know you are safe!" That was one of the greatest things someone has ever done for me ever. On my third bike and no tickets or accidents. #Blessed
Respectttt
That's awesome!
A great dude. Drinks are on you. 🤣🙏🏽
Sean Styles awesome story! I want a bike 😭
