Curious... Where did you get your trumpet ? I think what got me detected and singled out in band was my slides. I didn't have the ring so I couldn't adjust the tone of my trumpet. That's when I got caught of not being able to read music. I've always noticed that people had a slide ring, but mine did not. My trumpet instructor was constantly adjusting my slide and kept tweaking the spit valve slide. I noticed yours is askew too. That's the way mine was adjusted. When I practiced at home, I always pushed it tight because I thought that is the way it was supposed to be.
I got my trumpet from a local music store. For the slide, are you talking about the long tuning slide?
@@thetrumpetman I don't know. I am not familiar with the anatomy. The one I got was my Grandpa's, that he brought from someone, second hand. So it's ancient. I got it as a Christmas / Hanukkah gift the Christmas after he died. I was like 7. I didn't get very far because all of my trumpet instructors would mysteriously "vanish" They said I have an "ear" and they tried to teach me to read music, but after a few lessons, the place I'd go, the owner would tell me the guy didn't pay his rent and disappeared. Went through about 5 before Mother had enough.
Im officially tired of musescore but i finally got a hammer bros arrangement out, if you want it.
It's great you got that arrangement done :) I'm not interested right now because I'm still trying to get back into recording. I've just been re-using audio with sheet music for videos currently.
