I do this trick with the watch around my wrist and draw attention to it so they would notice the watch, I then vanish their ring before they noticed that the watch has vanished from my wrist, I quickly get the gift box out of a bag before showing them the final trick where they find both ring and watch in the box.... He should have practice this one more and shouldn't have let him shake the watch.
As a professional magician who performs this effect, there is a lot of little mistakes here. Poor routine and poor vanish, poor slight of hand loading it and the watch is supposed to be unscrewed. It just fell out. More practice required.

The ring palming and shoving it in the box awkwardly was fairly obvious.

It looks like his hand is in the glove. and there's an artificial hand that appears to be his hand holding the glove.
