I am so thankful for the internet! I have a disability that makes it impossible for me to see these sites in person no matter how much I would love to be there. It’s a blessing to be able to accompany you on your journey through the past and the present. Your films are always well researched and beautifully presented. This type of presentation expands my world and I thank you. ❤

I love your comments Curtis. I love the history of ancient egypt and especially toward cats and their divinity. They were cat people my people. I was given a special gift from the gods when I was there. It was a sacred gift from the gods. It was an anch I found in the sand
I hope I spelled it right.

She got the teacher for her “gifted” class at school, and she will get to study the Egyptians for a little while and they get to be wrapped up mummy style. She is thrilled. Literally my whole life, since elementary school where we watched documentaries on the moving of Abu Simbel, and countless national geographic and discovery channel features since then, i did not know it has an interior...! They show the outside, a shot of a short dark interior corridor, and that's it...
You not only show us everything but you explain in detail what it all depicts, symbolizes and means.. fascinating, beautiful... really good work...!!

    3300 year old temple:
Birds, basically the same for at least 3300 years: "CHIRP!" "CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP!"
    Horus: "Yeah! Sing that song!!"
Ramesses II, 3300 years ago: "This is pretty much exactly what I was wanting. Like the sunlight timing, good job with that one. However, you know, there's just one more thing."
Fred, Abu Simbal Foreman: "We're working with some experts on the birds, your majesty."
Ramesses: "There we go. That's how I knew you were the one to give this project to. You know what I'm thinking before I'm thinking it!"

Please tell me that is ancient Greek graffiti @18:34 . Graffiti is always bad, but if it is that old (Ptolemaic period?), it's kind of funny. Some jerk, 2500 years ago was like, "Hold my beer, I'm going to carve my name up there."

I’m not surprised why is it , that this Egyptians civilization has never been criticized nor condemned for slavery as many other civilization periods have been .
Instead it’s glorified in its conquering .when it’s written all over their arts of communicating and glorifying what they have done , positioning themselves as gods .
