Welcome to Santa Cruz, Bolivias busiest airport and home base for local airlines EcoJet and flag carrier Boliviana de Aviacion. I visited VVI on a layover between Brazil and Colombia and due to the timings on each flight, I managed to get an entire afternoon to spot at this excotic airport. Some of the big highlights for me was the catching the smaller BOA fleet, like the 737-300s and CRJ200s but the main aircraft I had my eyes on was the EcoJet RJ85s and RJ100s. Amazing to catch these planes still operating for passenger use.
Santa Cruz is dominated by BOA flights as you will see, and airline diversity isn't as great as some other large airports in the region, although some of the aircraft types really made up for it. You may also notice the Amas E190s parked up too in the background, a local airline that went bankrupt not too long ago, along with some old 727s and 737s in the airport graveyard behind the runway.

Excellent video! The best thing about planespotting in Bolivia is to watch planes that you don't see in other regions anymore, such as the Avros RJ85 and RJ100. Another classic Bolivian aircraft is the MD-10 freighter operated by Transportes Aereos Bolivianos. With the registration CP-2791, this aircraft is the last of its model operating for a commercial airline in the whole world. This MD-10 flies regularly to MIA and also some non-regular flights to other airports. It went here in Brazil (GRU) this week. Keep up the great work!
