+Cazaq It's called an EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument) and I'm thinking its actually a synthesizer as well as a MIDI-controller. But regardless its dope affff
to be really technical here, its actually called an "EVI" or electronic Valve instrument. differs from an EWI in that its derived from trumpet fingerings rather than saxophone. the rotating piece determines the register, kinda like an octave key for brass. Anyway, guy playing it (joe anderson) is a friend of mine. Also check out John Swana's work on the instrument.
It's called an EVI (Electric Valve Instrument). It can be both a synth and a MIDI controller depending on the model. It is built by Nyle Steiner, the inventor of the EWI, which is manufactured by Akai. It is basically a synth/controller that you play like a trumpet. The EWI (Electric Wind Intrument) is basically the same thing, but configured to interface like a saxophone (or other woodwind intrument). They have been around in various iterations since the late 70's or so, but you don't see them very often.

What is this genre? The Lewis Cole genre. Does it have a name?
What pedal is the bass using?
I also want to know???
No effects on the intro, just doubling the keyboard. Used an octave pedal in a couple places using an Electro-Harmonix POG2.
oh great. Thanks for the reply
